I will be closing my account with Scotiabank. Interac e-transfer takes at least 30minutes now when it was immediate about 3 months ago. What happened? I contacted their toll free customer service. While explaining myself the CSR hung up the phone on me. I know she was annoyed because I could hear it in her voice! There's no reason why Neo and EQ interac e-transfer are so fast and they are FREE while I'm paying Scotiabank 16.95/MONTH for slow e-transfer and RUDE customer service! Goodbye!

VARUN SARAOGI has terrible customer service skills. He never follows up. And he thinks he has power over people because he sits behind a desk like a rat!

The petite young lady with dirty blond hair is not made for customer service!
Their system was down and she was standing outside to assist. However, assist is what she was not doing at all. There was no queue, no customers waiting but she wanted us to to just leave and was answering questions as if she’s doing us a favour. While we were talking their system started and we went inside. She had no patience to even listen to my question. She was in a hurry to get rid of us and asked us to contact the call center. I got home called the contact center only to realize the issue can only be resolved at the branch! Unbelievable. Gotta go back now and super inconvenienced cuz of her! I’m going to go to the same branch (even though I don’t want to) only to get her name and update this review with her name on it. So disappointed!

The best Scotiabank in all of Durham! The supervisor there is very professional and helpful. She was very knowledgeable and helped me out with the issues I brought to her on the day I visited her branch. I greatly recommend this branch.

Not helpful at all. Teller name bikram shows attitude everytime we visit the bank and he asks alot of irrelevant questions.

In this branch, nobody answers phone calls. Very poor service and the hours also very limited.

Poor service! I used to think Scotiabank is the best before moving to Canada. Unfortunately, they are way below my expectations. Couldn’t get a credit. Tried many times to book appointments (IELTS as booked but they didn’t attend to me. Left Taunton branch to simcoe but same thing happened in both. Called customer online about the issue, I was told they will get back to me but didn’t. Wish I could rate them as -1.

I find this Branch stands out for their customer service in going above and beyond. I was able to get service on an urgent and time sensitive matter even after they were officially closed but addressed my needs as a human being vs a mere number. I am also very happy with my new financial advisor Shenna Hunter!

Very Slow, and tedious. Moreover, the tellers are not aware of accounts that the bank advertises as offering, the financial advisors are always "busy" and require booking long in the future, but funnily are never with clients when I visit. Typical banking experience post-covid. I do not know why they pay tellers, when almost every banking need of customers beyond deposits and withdrawals, now requires meeting with a financial advisor.

Went to the branch in order to open a student account as a new international student in Canada. Mike was very helpful and supportive with helping me pick out the best options for me and also was very informative. He also followed up with me after setting up my account via email with helpful articles on financial planning. Would definitely recommend this going to this branch for your banking needs

I just had a meeting with Financial advisor Hasina Ahmadi, she is the reason for these 5 stars. Hasina knows her stuff, doesn't beat around the bush and doesn't waste your time. Great service, it's sad to see bad reviews, people go to these meetings with expectation to the moon and get upset when they are brought back to reality. Hasina If you're reading this, you're fantastic!

I have never been so disappointed in a Scotia bank. Terrible customer service.worst experience with the financial advisor Hasina Ahmadi.better choose other branch or advisor instead. Not helpful, arrogant, no knowledge of process. I would like to put 0 star.

Worst customer service ever. Please go to another bank instead. I am closing my account and moving to a different bank.

Branch was empty no customers but still had me on hold for 20 minutes all I was trying to do was set up an appointment just, goes to show how much they value your business the staff in here are there just to socialize

Hasina ahmadi was not helpful at all. No advice no service nothing. Just a simple sorry u don't qualify good bye. My appointment lasted a whole 10 minutes when I had scheduled an appointment for some advice on financial needs. I felt like I was in an appointment with someone who simply had no knowledge or had anything to say at all, someone who simply had no emotion. It Was a very awkward visit and I feel like I was not helped the way I should of been considering I went to my own bank for advice.

I will not be returning to this branch.
