Today I had the best experience with Zohra. I walked into the bank extremely stressed out about my finances. I was greeted by her & within the hour she was so pleasant, knowledgeable & incredible to deal with. Thank you so much for making my day better. People like you make a difference in this world. If I could give zero I would. I was a first time home buyer, and my mortgage rep decided to give me 2 mortgages. (basically took my one mortgage and split it in to 2 separate payments.) I told her I felt that was weird, and I prefer to just do the one large payment. Anyway she doesn’t listen.
Later one dealing with member of this team for my investments is a living nightmare, they have attitude, offer no help. Customer service in particular is atrocious. Katie in particular is snarky, and hostile in her tone. Save yourself the hassle, don’t invest here, don’t do anything with this bank.

Customer support is zero and you wont get response from your csmr rep no matter what is the problem. I have opened up an account where i wont get a charge for 1 year and still they charge me for monthly fees. Tried getting in contact via emails to customer rep but no response at all.

I spoke to a Scotiabank call center representative to go through a credit card application process on the phone, and finally after a couple of hours on the phone when the process was almost complete, they redirect me to go visit any branch. I went to this branch but they had no notes or records or details regarding what was discussed with the call center (despite the call center executive updating their notes, etc). If this was 1970s I would have understood the difficulty in co-ordination between call center personnels and the tellers at the branch. But in this day and age with all the technology and advancements, I can't believe a bank is incapable of co-ordinating its different departments to gather information. However the tellers in the bank were very friendly to speak to. Its not their fault, nor is it the fault of this branch. However I am giving a one star for the poor internal co-ordination system of the bank as an organization. If you believe that every customer problem can be permanently ignored using the words "I understand your frustration sir, I'm sorry", then lets agree to disagree.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I was so nervous about opening up my first bank account but anthony reassured me everything was ok.he did a fantastic job explaining everything to me to the point where I had no questions after.keep up the great work anthony! (: truly appreciate it.

Terrible customer service
They would not clear the full amount for my paycheck and the teller casually said that well its only so much that would be held without any care about how I needed my funds right away like. I tried to resolve this issue with the manager and her response was you have access to some. Well that won't help me pay my bills. The branch in Burlington always clears my cheques without making me feel like I'm a criminal. Unfortunately I switched banks but I don't recommend this branch to anyone.

Bye Bye Scotiabank. We went to open a basic account for my autistic son. We brought with us the required proof of address (as per website that states mail received within past 3 yrs). But then were told he has to prove address with mail received within last yr. His passport is brand new (less than a yr) and we provided govt of Ont mail received 2 yrs ago. However, they refused to allow my son to open an account. That's ok though. BMO DID. Will be sure to warn all my friends/family to stay away from Scotiabank.

Drive thru atm doesn't work half the time and apparently they close at 4 when is states 6pm on the signs for Thursday.

Sense when is it your business to ask me where my money is coming from. If I hand you cash you count it or run it through your counting machine. Just because we have a health crisis going on does give you the right to know my business.
You have stepped over the line with this. Canada is a free Society I pay to have an account with you so unless the cops or the feds give you a warranty to lock my account’s mine or business and do your job.

I wrote a letter to the Hamilton Spectator, in the Editorial/ comments section, printed on Friday Oct 23rd, page A9. The service my Mother had, was hideous. We are both seniors. Management, please pay attention to the way customers are treated and spoken to when in this branch. This was not bank teller, who work very hard, in my estimation.

Very bad service, made appointment with their financial advisor, he was 15 min late, then I went to ask the staff there, they said hes in meeting and if i wanna reschedule. Whats the point to reschedule if he cannot keep the time. Really bad for investment advisory business, how am i gonna trust ur bank with bigger things.

Also, while other banks are using automated appt booking system and be done in 5 min, here have to go through 40min wait on phone to make an appointment that they cant keep.

The staff here are pretty friendly and inviting. The ATM's are always working and filled with the necessary supplies to make deposits.
