This bank is like other banks. The advisor Pratham thought he could be sneaky by not fully activating my online banking access. However I will continue to bank with Scotia, unless there are further issues down the line.

There is an employee KUNAL SHAH, he is so rude towards the customer. I asked him for help and he wasn’t sure what was wrong with my account then i went to another employee. He came to me and said you didn’t want to listen to me. I asked him repeat he said “whatever you heard” and replied me rudely. Rude, impolite and unpleasant. I want to file a complaint against

Have been with them for about two years now and have always had good experience. I had interacted with Anu, very patient and helpful. I was always provided the best possible service and answers to my questions. I would recommend.

Great location & fast lines when using a teller. Tellers always friendly & professional, giving clients that personal touch when assisting with banking or inquiries

Well my goodness I never had a bad experience of a long lineup at this branch. Last time I asked Pear about consolidating my annoying fees, which someone at another branch told me I couldn't do with my type of account. Well she changed my account type to something new and set up a basic fee for transactions. Done! She took the time to investigate my issue and address it to my satisfaction. Thanks so much.

Tellers are not as friendly compared to TD. Or maybe just in this location. Ive been to East York Scotiabank and tellers are good but here, this Indian lady even rolled her eyes while explaining something makes me feel that she's getting irritated because I follow my questions with another questions about our accounts. You're a frontliner, act as such.

Worst branch of scotiabank! I wish I could give them 0 stars. Rude employees. This branch should be CLOSED because of the service they provide.

I had to give them 1 star to write a review.
In fact, I would rate then negative 500 stars, both the branch and the Office of the President.
I went into this branch 3 months ago to close my account after discovering $3,000 had been withdrawn from my account through Scotia online etransfer by an old girlfriend. I had lost most of my ID, but still had my bank card and a photo health card. I was told by the teller I couldn't close the account without more identification. 3 months passed during which I applied, received, and returned last week with my bank card, photo health card, plus a birth certificate and an Ontario Photo Id.
This time the Midland branch teller told me I had to go to Mississauga where the account was originally opened if I wanted to close it. I thought that sounded ridiculous, so I returned home and phoned Scotiabank. Their representative assured me I could cancel it and said they couldn't figure out why I had been told I had to go to Mississauga. They put me on hold, called the Midland branch, and confirmed with Stephanie that I could come in and close the account. She said to ask for her specifically when I went in. So, an hour later on the same day, I went back a second time and asked for Stephanie. She refused again, saying the Scotialine rep that called her was wrong. So, she lied to him, and lied to me.
I filed a complaint with the office of the president. After a 10 day investigation I was told to contact the branch manager to close the account. Even though they had a record of the conversation between the Scotialine line rep and myself, and with Stephanie, there was no admission of wrongdoing, and in fact they didn't check the records, and inferred that I must be lying. They did however contact Stephanie, who lied yet again, and said I had showed up both times in the same day with no ID.
What do you say to something like this?
I was actually repeatedly lied to by a bank employee.
The office of the president could have easily accessed their records and seen directly and immediately that she had actually lied. They refused to do so, and really had no interest whatsoever in ascertaining if one of their employees was actually lying to customers.
Absolutely disgusted with the branch, and even more so with the complaint resolution (what a joke) from the Office of the President.
As a footnote, I left a message for the branch manager to make an appointment to see him: the call was never returned. I went to a different branch, and everything was taken care of immediately, no fuss.

I am a business owner across the street. Today I closed all accounts at this deceptive branch and had to pay fees to do so. The lack of common sense on all levels is glaring and is not conductive to a business. You can see the employees cringe at the managers brutal handling of business. No regard for time or money wasted. Best to bank elsewhere.
On the plus side this branch is totally dead so no lines.

I had worst customer service experience this branch! The employees are rude and arrogant including manager too. They don't know how to behave with customers Even they do not know the basics transaction procedure! ! Worst service experiences! I hope management will try to improve services and provide appropriate training to their staff of this branch.

I do agree with most of the customers. This branch have the worst customer service experience I had ever. Once I met with the Manger of the branch and I surprised that he doesn't have any respect to the customer. If you have your bank access card, provide password everything is right and ask for cash money by providing a cheque, they don't provide you the money because on the cheque you put your name John Howard not John W. Howard. Manager's question is why not written "W" on the cheque. Can you believe. Immediately I went another branch and they cashed the money immediately.
