I had a meeting with my banking manager, Heather Way. Heather was incredibly helpful and forward with all of our options, and she provided really excellent advice for us to consider. It is nice to work with an expert that is open, fair, and honest. I highly recommend Heather.

I wonder how one is to speak to the branch manager, who should, but doesn't, make themself readily available to their customers. This Scotiabank branch, formerly in the Quinte Mall, now on Bell Blvd.at the Quinte Mall, has terrible service. Also, I've left several messages over a period of two weeks on my so-called bank rep's voicemail and she hasn't had the courtesy of replying. No excuse. Don't bank here. If you do, pull your accounts and transfer to another bank.

Are these people working over desk, an officer or customer representative? If there are an officer do they know how to talk with customer? Are we here for buying vegetables or fruits? We are dealing with our money, so know your roles and responsibilities before jumping into financial sector. Very disappointed with what been have a explanation from them.

This bank promised 1.8% interest if I locked in for 1 year, then shorted me $2100.on interest when came time to pay and would not honor. If you deal with this bank, get everything in writing and signed by bank representative.

Good luck ever getting their ATMs to read loose cash. Every time I try to use them, they're just spitting the bills back out at me. It's ridiculous. Bring back the envelopes. Or get a better reader system.

They'll have to contact me if they want consultation on how to improve their business. I will say this though, businesses should really not flirt with discriminations of any kind.

The best thing about this bank was business advisor, A. J. Burlington. Now that he's gone, there's nothing at all positive that I can write down in this comments section. The stress that this bank has caused us over the last 3 years since A. J left, has left us jaded and utterly dissappointed in institutions who claim to want to help small businesses. We've given this bank chance after chance to make good on it's 'sudo' promises. They're really good at 'dangling a carrot' so you'll stick around. Personally, I feel like a fool. They've cost us thousands of dollars in, #1-A commercial appraisal (that they never revealed we would not own or be able to keep) and #2- A three year projection by our accountancy firm, to help us obtain a lower mortgage rate than our existing lender P. E. L. A is able to give. If you're a new business and are considering using Scotiabank, please reconsider. We only left TD because there was a discount bundling option incentive for new businesses who joined this bank. Wish I'd stayed with T. D. - Can't leave soon enough. We've jumped through every hoop that this bank has asked us to, and now we can't even leave a message on our ''bank advisors'' machine, because it is full.
Unprofessional, frustrating and just plain rude. Wish I didn't have to leave a star at all. J. Milligan

I use this bank for my small retail business. AJ Burlington was my business advisor and he was attentive, helpful, and went above and beyond to help us. He left and now our business advisor is Michael. I had to meet with him to make a change on our account. This man was beyond unhelpful. I wanted a simple thing done and gave me every reason why it could not be done. When I expressed to him that I would be charged a penalty fee by the CRA if he could not make this small change he became not just rude, but sat back in his chair with a smug smile on his face. I left the bank frustrated and in tears as I was getting no help at all from anyone. I am in the process of getting a new bank. I am taking all of my money including a large sum in a trust to another bank. If someone asks me where I bank I will straight up tell them DO NOT USE Scotiabank.

I've been a Scotiabank customer for close to 30 years, until I move to the Belleville area about 8 years ago. That's when I started having issues with Scotia, not always big issues but when dealing with this branch (that used to be inside the mall) the many of the staff aren't very helpful and I found customer service isn't that great. You can be nice but if you aren't genuine with helping clients, well people will notice. Over the past 8 years, my family has been moving our accounts, mortgage and business out of Scotiabank entirely because of this branch.other locations we've been home at have been nothing but great.

Have had an account with this branch for almost a year and they refused to help the person in front of me in line and then refused to help me even though I had the proper identification and the cheque was a Scotiabank cheque. Most decent places would have actually helped find a solution. Im looking into switching banks.

Just sheer incompetence. I've been there dozens of times in the last year and every time I hear that they don't know how to help me unless it's the most basic of things like taking out cash. Not to mention everyone except the older blonde haired lady is pretty unfriendly and acts like they're doing you a service that you owe them for. Really disheartening and makes me want to switch banks.

Great service but the drive through is kind of positioned in an awkward way. I went to the other branch to set up my account. Then when I tried to cash a insurance check I found out that my name was incorrect. This branch helped me through this and made the necessary changes so I do not have this issue again. Staff are great.

2 days and 8 calls.they can't even return a call.and this is calls to the Assistant Manager. I would expect better service from a Bank.and don't blame covid.

Great staff but have to give a failing grade. Bank has the absolute worst hours possible. 8: 30 to 5: 00 is useless to most people. My suggestion is go to any other bank.

Went in because the tap stopped working on my card. Which is a common issue I’ve always had with Scotiabank cards. The tap always breaks. Cashier tried to tell me I needed to reset my tap, despite me telling her I needed a new card. I explained how it stopped working (occasionally worked, until it didn’t) but she seemed sure that it was because the tap needed to be reset. I humoured her. But it obviously didn’t fix my issue since the tap itself is broken. So going in there was a waste of my time since now I have to go back.

Had an appointment today although it was storming out. Online it said it was open. I called and the recording said they were open. We emailed the person we had the appt with and received no answer. Drive there to find out the branch was closed. No effort made at all from the bank. Horrible to make appts through their automated system.

Horrible customer service went there as I needed money for an emergency and account was blocked and needed verification. I personally went there for verification but teller couldn’t help me she was absolutely rude and said she has other people to serve so move. What’s the point if you can’t help people it was an real emergency.

Ridiculous phone system, there is NO option to get a live voice and the call center cannot answer question that we were asking, even if you could get to them. However with anticipated call waiting period of 45 minutes had to hang up can look elsewhere

Absolutely horrible branch and location. Their drive thru ATM is almost always empty. 7 out of 10 attempts for me it has been currently unavailable. To even operate the drive through ATM from a car is virtually impossible. The height the angle the curb it was all designed by a poorly monitored engineer that you cannot even insert your bankcard nor can you exit your can to enter the card. The bank has still never gotten back to me for a time to remove all my money to take to another bank. I rarely give poor reviews but this is absolutely a bank of inconvenience.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I've ever had with Scotiabank at this location. Manager is extremely rude, as well as some tellers. Seriously considering switching banks after this experience.

Rude staff, went to fix my debit card since the tap was not working. Instead of replacing it, she was really rude and told me to try one more time and come back if it doesn’t work! Not helpful and for international students, this place is a nightmare.please go somewhere else
