I accompanied my 16 year old daughter for setting up a student and saving account today. I had to take time off to attend this appointment and had to rush through traffic after picking her up from school but the time was a total waste. The 'advisor' seemed to have no clue about the products we went for even though it was mentioned when we booked the appointment. For almost every question, she had to go to her manager to ask. When we asked about the student account plan with all the perks that Scotia is offering, she clearly had no idea. My daughter had to show it to her on her cell phone and it seemed the advisor heard about this for the first time. I don't understand how someone working at a branch who has an appointment to sign up a client for one of their products can be totally unaware of their own products. Honestly speaking, I don't blame the young lady with whom our appointment was setup. She was clearly not trained properly. She was quite apologetic and had to keep on going back to her manager for answers. Is this how they want to train their employees but dropping them in the deep end without any proper training and causing customer grief? The management of that branch is clearly incompetent or doesn't care. Anyway, I'm not going back to that branch again and we will probably re-think about getting an account with Scotia bank. Total waste of our time.

Untrained poorly trained stuff, horrible customer service, super slow.is that corporate culture of scotia? We can clearly see the difference when we walk into a TD branch. Hope to serious customer service improvement in coming day, I hope Scotia looks into these reviews

Don’t count on the posted hours. Arrived at 4: 30 and found a sign on the door stating it was closing at 4pm.

Horrible service, Every time I get frustrated. Even the supervisor is not professional. My sugustion for Scotia bank to close this location and just leave the machines there. This branch does not deserve to be called a bank
can’t wait till I move to another bank.

Terrible service! Tried to make an appt. 2X never got responds until I called. Arrived at the bank & waited in the lobby & no one asked if we needed help (not even the bank mgr who just sat in the office & walked by 2X). Stop someone & found out the guy we were to meet went for lunch. Ask if they could help, he basically walk back into his office & didn't respond! (For real this happened).

Poor communication skills & lack of understanding from a teller. A service that should have been handled by someone at the back was instead done by the teller in which cost us frustration & wasted time.

This bank is the worst
The menager was so racist and so rute
Because I didn’t speak good English she leafing with me.
This branch is really really worst ever I heard
Usually when u deposit checks take 5 business days to release,
She told me to take another 5 days to do investigation, so bad
She did thata because didn’t want me to cash out, I don’t understand why she did that. 3 days i was there 3 days she was so rute,
Please she needs to be fired,

Terrible service. Advisors here were incompetent and gave us a hard time every step of the way when trying to close our mortgage. From not being able to provide a bank draft, to providing poor advice that cost us from being able to put a deposit on a potential home. They constantly try to pawn you off to customer care and won't put in the effort to resolve your needs unless you push them.

Slow service. Tellers are friendly but slow and not enough available to help the long line ups. Also they need more tellers to help seniors and move faster.

Slow service, we asked this branch to remove one person on our mortgage deeds, until now it' s yet done, almost two months now.

Banks are less than ideal at the best of times. But I have been treated respectfully at all times and any problems I've had have been with the bank system itself, not with the people working here.

It's impossible to contact this bank directly via phone if you don't know the extension of the person you're trying to reach. You'd think that they'd at least have a receptionist or something so that you can talk to someone.
