Best Scotia location and with very knowledgeable and helpful staff members. Very impressed with the service

I'd been facing some issues with my credit card and no one literally no financial advisor from another branch was able to solve my credit problems which occurred due to trans union. I spoke to trans-union and sent my documents to them but they replied that only the bank can solve it. After that, I went to Borough drive scotia bank located in the STC. But there I waited almost half an hour even after having an appointment and still, no one seemed interested in me. Finally, I had an appointment with one of the financial advisors named Faisal Boukhari who is a senior financial advisor in the Cedarbrae Scotiabank branch. He listened to the issue that I was facing and understood it. Not only that, but within 5 minutes he solved it. I was dealing with it for over 4 months. I emailed my previous advisor a lot of times but got no response. I am extremely thankful to him and I would highly recommend him. He has a lot of knowledge and experience. I could not believe my eyes when he actually did it. Thanks to him once again and I greatly appreciate his assistance.

We had such an amazing experience here. A big shout out to Mr Faisal Boukhari. He has been with us through out during our deal despite having a busy schedule. He guided us so well with the entire process and he explained us all the documentation patiently. Never rushed us and made sure we get the best service possible. Again, Thank you Mr Faisal Boukhari!

This branch is always busy, I highly recommend manager of this branch to hire more tellers so the customer doesn’t wait hours in the line.

It is the worst branch of Scotia I have ever seen; None of the staff are helpful here; They don’t want to do their job; don’t want to help customers; Strongly suggest not to go there.

Not friendly staff. Opens at 930am why? Rest all branches open at 9am. Closes at 4pm why? Rest all branches closes at 5pm. Disgusting branch manager!

Open hardly for 5 hours. Zero help from the employees. Not to mention the ABMs never work. It took the money but never showed the balance and no employees are willing to help. Closing my 3 accounts here for sure. Best of luck everyone chasing your own money.

Not bad but nothing special either. Line ups are long to see a teller; not enough tellers open either.

The service is slow, but the tellers are friendly and professional.

As someone else has already mentioned, no one is checking the line up for seniors or anyone who is disabled. There's a reason they are given priority and I feel that not enough effort is given to accommodate them.

Sorry to be rude, but really this branch is the worst I had visited ever. Today I gone to bank to close my account and told the representative specifically that I want to close my Scotiabank account, like everything don’t want anything over here. She just canceled my checking account. I called customer care and they told you have to visit again to close. So due to your mistake I literally have to visit bank again just to close my account? Please teach them something good, so customer don’t have to travel again and again for minor problems. Thank you.

Worst branch ever. Super disorganized. There is a couple of decent staff members but the managers seem daft.

Worst services ever! I read all comments and still decided to come cause this is the closest Scotiabank from my new place. First time I came was last month, I provided my student paper and asked them to let me use student package, things seems ok and I went home. This month they still charge me for services. I came this time to ask why then they told me they didn’t change anything for the first time I came, I gave them my paper for one more time, then they asked me for schedule, how can I have schedule when I am in my summer break? It seems like they are trying to void to help, I have use the same paper for last year in my old location, they were really happy to provide me without asking questions.
I thought they will gonna try to improve their services since there are too many complaints, but no, I don’t think they will ever change their mind.

Teller refused to set up customer transfer from my mothers account to mine and refused to let a manager look into it OR speak to me on the phone. How useless! She was forced to drive down to East York Scotiabank, which did it with EASE. Smh.

Staffs are ridiculous and not responsible for their own job that they doing, poor customer service

This branch doesn't know what customer service means. I don't wanna go in details but they don't respect the customer, talk rudely. If I had ratings in negative I would have given negative rating.

During social distancing with long lines outside waiting for the bank teller. Someone must come out and check if the elderly or vulnerable are in line and assess them right away. They need to be prioritized. There's 20 people standing to get into the bank but no one is coming outside to check if there are seniors that need to given priority.

Worst costumers service I've receive my paycheck and they put it on hold and giving me the run around I highly don't recommend this branch that's why I'm switching bank and not recommend to my kids family nor friends in the future one bad apple spoil the bunch

Zero stars. There is no customer service. Walk in service is slow to help. Cannot reach a branch rep without dedicating an hour to the project. Even for the simplest questions/ service, the situation ends in frustration.
Go to TD bank at McCowan and Lawrence. It's a different world.

Scotiabank is a very good bank, especially helpful with new immigrants. But this branch has very laid back tellers and seem not to care to their clients. Also, it will take a very long while of waiting to consult the person you have an appointment with. Financial consultants though are very accommodating.

Ankit shah mutual fund repressentative he introduced himself as a branch manager he's not useful he doesn't know anything about banking if worse than a donkey leather he's good for nothing worst experience with mr ankit shah

I was surprised to visit this branch, the experience I had was shocking. An assistant manger name Ankit shah was rude at another level. I went to the branch to deposit funds in my account. I told the teller I have forgotten my card at home, but I can provide my photo ID to deposit the funds into my account. Ankit shah interferes while walking by and in a very loud tone tells me to go home and get my bank card because they will not issue me another card or deposit my funds. When I asked him why that maybe the case he yelled at me in front of 15 other customers who were waiting in line, and pointed his finger at me by saying “you are not welcome in my branch, you people are disgraceful and should not visit a professional place like this without the right knowledge. ” I was wordless and completely shocked. I said “excuse me! Are you saying you people because I am wearing a Hijab and it’s Ramadan “ I had tears in my eyes, I was fasting and I was extremely humiliated. I couldn’t believe I was in Canada where I was born and raised. No one deserves to be treated like this. I have emailed head office and called customer care for the incident that occurred.

Terrible branch. The staff have zero knowledge about bank politics and customer service. Awful experience

I have repeatedly sent emails for same issue and haven't received any assistance in a span over 6 months. Not worth anyone's time at this location full of unprofessional, inexperienced employers. Many of my documents handed in have mysteriously disappeared and is slowing down my bank transfer process.

Don’t waste your time at this branch if you need any financial advice or assistance. FA’s struggle to do even simple math and insult their customer for not having basic knowledge.

The customer service is bad. The staff can’t count cash. The last three times usually on Saturday, I was there I have problems. One time I was short $100 which I never got back. The second I was over $15. And this past Saturday I was again taking by$30. Don’t go there if you can help it. Oh and the management is just as bad.

This bank's customer service is the worst ever! The teller was not interested to do any work and when I had an issue with an expired credit card, she wasn't even interested to check what was going on. She just asked me to visit my home branch! Is that how banks work in 2018! Seriously! Please don't visit this branch for any reason I would say!
