If I had a choice I wouldn't even give a single star.
I have been dealing with this bank since October 2021 and 3 different people in regards to closing an account.
This is potentially my last resort if Elizabeth doesn't acknowledge my emails. It took 9 messages and contacting BNS through FB to get this individuals attention. I'm uncertain why it's been so difficult but here we are. Sad that this is how I have to try and get this addressed and looked after.

Not helpful. At all. My mom passed away my daughter listed on her account. We went to cancel account they refused it. They gave my brother his own bank card he wasnt listed. He cleaned out her account. All we wanted was to close the account till estate is settled. They gave us the run around. No wonder older p get robbed of there money. We sent copy from the corner of her death papers and no reply. My mom been banking with them for 65 years this what we get. They dont deserve any stars. Ppl that work there use to serve at the bakery close by that closed down. We waited to speak to manager. She never came to speak to us. She was there.
I get the privacy act. But say no cant help u out.

Not sure why this branch has bad reviews, the people here have always been friendly to me and its not too crowded. Don't go around lunch of course but I think that's common sense for most banks.
