I Was sent away stating the bank did not have my credit card which was posted out to them. Rude and unhelpful staff at Thomas street Scotia bank. Absolute waste of time!

I applied for a student loan for my son after sending all the documents.
They called and mentioned WE don't do those kind of loans anymore.
Why didn't you mention that from the start.

Reviews do not lie! It is very sad and frustrating dealing with Aneezah Khan for a credit card application. Not only do I meet the criteria required for the credit card, she kept harassing me with more paystubs and mortgage statement. I have given her the paystub & T4 which she is still not satisfied. Unbelievable how they do not use common sense at all! It is a week tomorrow and still she has not approved my credit card application. I have requested the manager to contact me as the service is poor and frustrating. No wonder about the reviews at this location! Poor frustrating service! I am waiting for the manager to contact me. The grief I am experiencing to apply for a credit card is unbelievable! Never ever I had such an issue with all the other banks that I deal with! This is not acceptable at all!

Senior Advisor Dipin Taheem is the type of guy you want to deal with all your Financial needs. He gives you the correct and best advice based on your personal portfolio. Overall this branch is also well managed and neat. Happy to have this as my Home Branch.

My review is for Scotiabank in general, but my horrible experience began with the group of people at this terrible branch.

I’ve been a Scotiabank customer for 35 years and worked there for eight. I received a letter informing me that one of my non-registered accounts had to be closed within 60 days because I’m now a US resident.

I contacted this branch, which is my ‘home’ branch. Email went unanswered for three business days.

I tried calling customer service (which was listed on the letter as a backup), and they couldn’t do anything, so escalated to the manager.

Manager referred me to the Square One branch, where the non-registered account is domiciled. That was now nearly three weeks ago.

The assistant manager at the Square One branch was supposed to call me and did not. I emailed and got a week-long out of office message.

After two weeks of nothing happening, and another email going unanswered for three days, I happened to be in the Toronto area for business and tried to get this done in a branch. No luck, because the ‘process has already started. ’

I’m sure they will ignore this message like they have all of my requests to settle this very simple transaction, and all of the other people on here who are frustrated by their awful service.

Thirty five years as a customer. Gone. Goodbye Scotiabank.

Never do business with this bank specifically this branch and the lady Harpreet Kaur, while signing the documents she assured that we have opted out of the insurance but we were charged for the same for entire year. Please read through the documents and never trust them. On top of that their so called escalation department and CCAO refuse to help

ABM constantly rejecting bills when depositing cash. Even when putting in one bill at a time. Can take up to 15 min just for it to accept. Advised staff of problem before, still have not been fixed.
