Awful service. Advisors are unbelievably rude and dismissive. I would said avoid this branch but other Scotia branches are not much better either.

I had a pathetic experience at this branch today. A "bank Teller" is so rude and Not supportive at all. She was sending to the another my Home Bank Branch in Toronto Downtown just for bank statement enquiry. OMG!
She is such a rude and negative sole all time with her 2 min conversation. For my each enquiry, she was charging me $5, I dont understand - why this charges?
She denied to Bank-Seal/sign my bank statement even after validating my Photo ID, and Card deatils.
God help this poor lady!

Very much regret getting advice and mortgage with this bank. Marten was awful to deal with. A year later we are paying the price for taking his advice. Do not bank here. There are many other options in the area.

DO NOT GO HERE with estate matters. The manager Jennifer and the "teller supervisor" are incredibly insensitive and flat-out rude. The team should be ashamed of themselves. We were forced to work at the level above the branch to get funeral and probate fees. Causing unnecessary delays. Forced to pay out interest and risk a funeral home putting the account into default. Each time you go in there the "supervisor" halts everything a teller does for you and then speaks to you with extreme ignorance. Today she attempted to take bank drafts right from my hand saying she "needed to see them" - for what purpose other than to frustrate me? My mother passed away 3 months ago my sister was named a beneficiary who has yet to receive the funds. She passed away 3 days ago and the branch is still refusing to assist but is happy to frustrate you.

Been trying to open up a TFSA for a month and a bit now but it is incredibly difficult to meet with someone everytime I book an appointment there is no available times or they change my app time on me a day later.

Another Scotia branch that no one knows what they are doing and have no idea how to do their job

Very disappointed with my experience with this branch. I attempted to close my account in the summer, and this was not done- leaving my credit extremely damaged. No one at this branch answers the phone, don't bother trying- I've called for months. I have decided to take my compliant to a third party in addition to writing this complaint. Go to literally any other branch but this one.

Went in to Have Bank Card Replaced
and front Teller Called Police for fraud in progress.

Then the story changed to the matter of e transfers and account activity. The employee released information regarding transactions to the police when they are not allowed to do so, different from the original call regarding fraud.

Police came and found no wrongdoing of fraud.

I Was asked what i was doing in Courtice, and was a long way from Scarborough, I told them I live in Oshawa, but was shrugged off as a liar.

Experienced the worst form of racist treatment.

The 2nd employee that came started explaining terms and conditions to us, like we were aliens. Very rude, and disgusting behavior.

Be careful when you go to this branch

Some Employees are dumb founded; they will abuse 911 resources. These are the type of people who jeopardize others safety in form of false calls to the police.

This matter has been referred to the Office of The President, Escalations and will be referred to the Human Rights Commission. As well the Media.

Please be aware and avoid this location.
