I recently experienced being treated like a crook by Scotia bank I had a joint account with my father there an argument happened amongst my father mother and I my parents went to the bank at the mall told a version of their events immediately Scotia bank froze 1.5 million dollars keep in mind I'm the primary account holder my father was only joined with long story short they allowed me to unfreeze 1 3 million to my parents and still have 200000 of my money locked in they told me they don't get involved and now the sudbury opp opened a investigation on me about a month ago now and still not one phone call to me from a bank that I'm a customer at what would you do?

Had a meeting with an employee shortly after my mother's death with the hopes of dealing with her estate. We provided all the documentation required by the bank. As the executor of her will, I tried to deposit a cheque but her account was frozen. Left several phone messages but to no avail. Complained to "head office" but still, we were ignored. After travelling an hour from home, a lovely young lady named Pinki took the time to listen to our concerns and tried her very best to find answers to our questions/concerns. Long story short, she went out of her way to take the appropriate measures to meet our needs in this difficult time. Her professionalism is greatly appreciated during this challenging time. Scotia needs more "Pinkis".

I have to come here because of work, everytime there is 1 or 2 people working and the line is out the door in the mall. Always a wait

Just closed my account with Scotia. I just paid my $16.95 monthly fee 2 weeks ago and because I closed my account they charged me the monthly fee again. Absolute scammers stay away from this bank nothing but problems with them since I have been with them.

Was told by the clerk they were no longer carrying cash… And to use an ATM. Maybe put up a sign, so customers know not to waste 15 minutes of their life, waiting in line for the one teller who hasn’t lost her job yet. Last I checked, the ATM doesn’t dispense coin. Yet, they’ll happily take your bills or coin as a deposit? … Dear god…

Maybe they should stay open till at least 6pm so that some people that finish work at 5 can make it to do some banking or at least open on Saturdays again

I was in to get change for my work which I do nearly every weekend. I was given different information about making change each time and this last time I felt as if I was doing something criminal by the way I was received by the clerks. I will no longer go to this bank to make change even though it's the one where my work has an account. Terrible, terrible service!
