They cant get me a mortgage break down of principal and interest payments online or at a branch. I had to book an appointment with those 'advisor'. Good at taking my money but cant give me a break down. Joke. This teller is super rude. Edit- a manager at scotiabank called me to edit the review. Counter staff is extremely disrespectful, cannot solve a problem without showing attitude, lack of customer service skills.

I went today to withdraw some money from the bank machine and the machine gave a $ 20 with a missing corner, a good part of it. I left the bank without checking each bill, when I realized that one of the bill was missing a corner I returned to the bank. It happened to be 5 minutes after closing, the security told me to come the next day, staff was still inside and none of them bothered to talk to me. I travelled first time to get the money from the machine, second time I returned to have the bill exchanged, and the security told me to come tomorrow to have it changed. I returned the bill through the door hoping that they will help me, they did not even bother to open the door to give me back the bill. How much money I lost ($ 20, plus my time and gas), are you willing to pay me for the whole hassle? Who cares about my time and money, nobody.

Rude customer service by one of the older brown lady at the bank teller. I came in for help to change my account.gave attitude for asking for clarification on why my account was changed.i can do without the attitude.never coming here again.

This is my home branch, every time I go I always receive good service. My advisor is Gurmeet Dhaliwal, he always has a great attitude and is willing to help me with all my inquiries. He has also been amazing with creating a financial plan for me and has helped me reach my goals. He has provided me with information regarding mortgages.

We had a wonderful experience with Melissa…. She is a wonderful person…answers all our questions and clear all our doubts we had related to my accounts…. I had a bad experience with other branches but this branch is best and their customer service is top notch…keep it up guys

I had a cheque from insurance copayment to me and Scotiabank. They said I had to create an account with them in order to withdraw the money. Basically keeping my money hostage unless I buy a service I don’t want. I thought it was weird I didn’t need a SB account when I made the loan, I didn’t need it to make payments, and then suddenly when they have leverage, they require you to pay for a bank account.

Anyways, I went to squareone branch and they did the regular process where use the cheque to pay off the loan and return to me the remaining sum. No new account needed.

Worst customer service I’ve ever received, courtesy of teller Arif Ali. As a lifelong Scotiabank customer, I’ve never experienced such terrible customer service and rude teller staff. I went to conduct some account business that I’ve done numerous times before at another location, and when I went to this branch the staff member, mentioned above, took 15 minutes to do what typically took me less than 2 minutes. On top of that, he never confirmed the change was made. When I inquired about reversing charges on my account, he rudely interrupted me to say he can’t do anything because of “bank policy”. When I asked to speak to a manager, he never brought out the manager and instead told me to go to my home branch. When I informed him I transferred my home branch to this one months ago, he blankly stared at me, made a rude gesture with his hand and said “and? ”… terrible customer service, considering he made me stand their for 15 minutes to change my account and got sassy when I asked him a couple questions. I quickly left before I could say something I may regret. Scotiabank just lost a customer in me

Closed even before 4pm. Someone from the head office needs to look at the management of this branch. Girls were already counting the deposits. Told the security guard not to open the door. Made sure its double locked. Branch either needs to be closed down or give it to management who can serve the customers properly.

This location will often randomly close early often. The past 3-4 times I have visited, they were closed at 2 PM twice. When the bank already has inconvenient hours of operations (close at 4 PM), closing earlier causes real inconvenience

Went to deposit some cash via their ABM machines and one of my bills got stuck, I went back to the branch a couple days later as it was closed for the Victoria day long weekend to discuss this issue and they said they will investigate and get back to me, it’s been almost 2 weeks and I have not heard anything from them. I had a similar situation occur at another Scotiabank Branch and they called
me back within 24 hours and deposited the money that was stuck in the machine into my account without having me come into the branch.

This is the worse bank in Canada so far I’ve experienced. Customer service is extremely poor. I have to close the account it’s not worth it.not only on phone or online but in person also That too In different branches …. But my experience is same. It is hopeless. They should learn something from TD or RBC
Also there ATM machines doesn’t work most of the time.

Not helpful, one of my least favourite Scotiabank locations They always happen to not be able to help me with my banking. One star.

Went to deposit a trust account cheque. I have done it in the past. They never do a hold. The teller advices its must be on hold. I advised that they can call the other bank and confirm the cheque. She said she can't do that. Asked for a supervisor, he doesn't even come out. Messages her internally and advices nothing can be done. Had to go to another Scotia branch and get it done.

When short staffed the bank is closed unless appointment only. During a long weekend this shouldn't happen. People need to pay bills and rent. So unprofessional. Hire more tellers!

My husband just went in To use the ATM, at 6am, ATMs at all banks are usually 24/7 as I understand. I am not seeing any information anywhere that the ATMs would be closed and only have certain hours. I feel this makes it hard for someone to take THEIR money out of THEIR account to accomodate their lives. Maybe make notice of these things so people aren't inconvenienced by your company.

Few months back I visited the branch for a loan enquiry. They didn’t even know how to run credit check and ended up saying I do not have enough credit score.

There is a homeless man in the morning at 5: 00 a.m. Who claims to be doing renovations with a "team". The reason I believe he is a homeless individual with mental issues is due to a few reasons.

1) He is usually sitting alone where the ABMs are and has no uniform to indicate he is a contractor or employee of a maintenance company.
2) He is always sitting on the floor idle without any tools. Maintenance contractors will always have their equipment nearby or on hand.
3) He has been claiming this for over a month now and there have been no signs of renovations done at this branch.
4) He will proceed to harass Scotiabank customers asking them to leave because his "team" will arrive soon.

Please deal with this and I will change my review. It is very uncomfortable using an ABM in the morning with him there.

Worst experience. I am customer from last 5 years. Now everytime a salary check gets deposited, everytime they are holding for 9 days as they say they will hold my salary check for 5 business days everytime. Cheque always deposits on Friday so Sat and Sunday they won't count. It starts from Monday and 5 business Days over on Friday and then I get money on Monday.

Everytime they say you have a limit of $2000 when I deposit cheque the limit automatically goes to $100. What is this?

They say they hold it for suspicious activity. What suspicious activity same cheque comes every biweekly same company same amount from last 3 years

Worst banking support ever. Tellers in this bank are completely useless - they will ignore you, provide incorrect information and lie just to get rid of you. There is no way to force them to solve your problem.

I have been the biggest critic of Scotia Bank and yes they are not perfect. However, I want to say a big thank you to Khaled Dajani for going out of his way to help me regarding my banking and estate matters. Not all Scotia Bank branches are created equal. Not all Scotia Bank managers and assistant managers are created equal. I am very grateful for your kindness and most of all helping me with my complex Estate matter!

WORST SERVICE.
I went to this branch on June 24th to transfer $2000 from my other Visa card amount to my Scotia account. One of the agent initiated transfer from my VIsa card to Scotia account and he told that transaction was not approved.
Later i understood the transaction approved and he withdraw the amount from my VIsa card and tried to credit back to same card instead of Scotia bank account. Still $2000 is with Scotia bank and no proper response from bank persons and no support from customer care.
THIS IS ONE OF WORST BRANCH, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRANCH.

WORST SCOTIA EVER WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! I WENT TO DEPOSIT A CHEQUE THAT I DEPOSIT EVERY MONTH (GOVERNMENT CHEQUE) AND SHE SAID THAT SHE WOULD HOLD IT WHEN I NEED TO PAY RENT! SHE MADE ME WAIT TO CALL TO VERIFY MY CHEQUE AND HAD THE PHONE ON SPEAKER SO EVERYONE COULD HERE MY BUISNESS. THERE WAS ALSO A MAN NEXT TO ME HAVING ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH A TELLER AND HAD TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER.

Been to way too many banks across the GTA never was happy with any services but Khalled at this branch is God’s gift to banking.

One of the worst bank branches.if you don't dress like you're rich, they pretty much look down at you and don't care about making you wait.

The managers are pretty much a joke. If you can avoid this location, you won't regret it. Only come here if you have an appointment.

I actually agree with the majority of the reviews here. The customer service here is quite atrocious, which is quite rare for a Scotia Bank branch. I went there on a weekend in the middle of June to inquire about a specific travel credit card that was on promotion. When I spoke to the teller that I got (Middle Aged lady), she said that she didn’t know what I was talking about, even though there was a poster plastered on their wall about it. When I pointed out the poster, she said that I would need to speak to an advisor (since it’s obvious she doesn’t have much knowledge about it). I said that’s fine. She then asked me to take a seat and that someone would be with me shortly and so I did. Next thing I know, she ended yelling across the branch pointing and asking what’s my name. I was mortified by this, as everyone was looking at her and then at me. Disgusted, I got up and walked out. I don’t appreciate being yelled and belittled for nothing.
