My experience was great. I was help by Raphael and he was so clear and understanding. Immediately my problems and worries were gone as he fixed my issue and explained what went wrong. He also gave me a follow up and advised me what to do next. He was patient and his explanation was the best. I hope to be dealing with him again because his service skills are 10/10.

Most likely the worst scotiabank location in the city. The staff is beyond incompetent, I sent a bank transfer weeks ago and not only did the transfer not make it through due to the neglilence of the staff, but also, they completely ignored the reference notes which confused the receiptent of the bank transfer. Instead of taking the typical 5-10 business days, it took over three weeks for my transfer to go through. After this major mishap, I will be transferring all of my banking needs to the neighbouring RBC or TD location.

I came to this branch today with my mom. She banks with scotia, and although there was a long wait I understand tellers are working the fastest they can and every clients needs are different so sometimes there’s a bit of a wait. I was very disappointed thou with harsimran and the customer service she provided, she was completing our transaction and after I had a few other concerns she told me she can’t do it because there’s a line…. Prior to this she refused to count some of the money we were depositing, and asked me make sure of the amount because it will take her too long. I really didn’t know how to respond to her because I was shook with her response so I just counted and responded with the amount. Not once during this session did she smile or try to show any type of good customer service. She then argued at the end with me mentioning if I had so much to do then to come back a different time since there’s was a line. I waited 20 mins and as a Scotia client my mother shouldn’t have to be told what she was told today. All we did was deposit money, ask for old statements because online banking was having some issues, I don’t see why she felt it was okay to say what she said. I’m always present with my mom due to language barriers but I’m really disappointment in today experience. We also had a few rolls and She was also frustrated that I brought them in but I had everything ready to go in rolls to make it easier for the teller. I have my own business and sometimes clients pay in cash and I had loose change built up so I asked my mom to divide and put them in coin rolls and since she was already depositing cash I figured we bring them in. It literally took 2 mins to confirm the amount yet she made a big fuss about the rolls. There was about 6 and one set of toonies were at half and she refused to deposit which at this point after evaluating how she was presenting herself throughout my transactions I refused to leave without the coins being deposited. I did respond with “ if I was speaking to a manager right now would I be told what you just told me” she instantly started counting the 12 or so loose toonies and the added the rest of the full rolls. At the end of the transaction as I was leaving she told me not to do this again and that if I do to come at a earlier time. I believe it was 2 pm but I would have appreciated if she ended my transaction off with just “ have a good day”.

I came in to open my student account without an appointment and despite this the bank accomodated my request. In particular, I would like to thank Mary who helped a lot with setting up my account with ease. Very kind and helpful!

Ive been with Scotia for 10 years. Realized i had the wrong scotia bank credit card (VALUE VISA). The branch manager named Denise told me over the phone i shouldve known there were 0 benefits of using the card because of its name “value” and said its the same as “value village” most absurd thing ive ever heard in my life. Better yet, i upgraded to the gold visa and she kept telling me ill get in email. 8 days later i go into the branch and they tell me its not processed b it had me sign all the documents to upgrade. I asked how i can be compensated and how she is going to help me, she told me im being disrespectful and called the cops on me in front of everybody. Please keep in mind i am a realtor and it was the most embarrassing thing i had to go through, especially having my for sale boards up in the area. She then terminated my relationship with scotiabank and forced me to sign a paper with all my money on a certified cheque/bankdraft and i was forced to go open an account with TD, my funds are on hold til nov 14th and i only have my scotia bank visa that i am forced to use dur to having 0 funds and i cant pay anything off. I have 16 complaints filed yet no one from head office has contacted me. Will never bank with scotia ever again and all my family members are terminating their accounts and all business with scotia bank. I also received my gold card in the mail recently and i cannot even use it even though it is a seperate entity.

Always busy and only few tellers to give you service. Sometimes it’s just closed without any explanation. Security guard send you away. Should always be tellers present as many counters are there. One star for good tellers.

Poor customer service although we had a booked appointment they told us the person had been promoted and couldn't help us. Not to mention being questioned by the security guard as to why we came and told them we had an appointment she treated us like we didn't belong at the branch.

I want give zero star but there is no option, worst customer service told me to go home branch or pay $15 for balance certificate. I have two bussiness account but better not to give bussiness to them.

Wow! Worst customer service experience we have ever had. June 14, Tuesday morning we entered into the bank and the security guard asked us if we have an appointment and we said no. She replied, sorry the bank is closed. We’re shocked, I said it’s Tuesday she said there is no staff. Started hating scotiabank, TD and RBC are way better.

This location is the worst experience I have had since my 8+ years of banking with Scotiabank. The financial advisor is always unavailable, does not return calls unless it it escalated from customer service. The manager takes no responsibility and accountability for the service provided by her advisors. It is my home branch and I will be switching based on my recent experience and interaction with both the financial advisor and manager. The tellers are excellent though.

Very poor service on this location, incompetent, unprofessional and untrained staff especially a woman name: MARY, Scotiabank should be ashamed of hiring such trash in their bank.

I went there to get Demand Draft Mary asked me a proof of id I provided her Canadian Government ID Proof with my picture on it. She was like i need passport. I had my Canadian proof, credit card, debit card and also ready to answer security questions but she was like NO I NEED PASSPORT. And the Amazing thing was I stood up in line again and gave same proof of ID to another person within same branch who was sitting next to her helped me out.

Iddiotic MARY. Don't know how to serve and respect customers. Also learn to respect others time!

I love this branch I don't care what bad experience you persons have or had mine is super, they always try to meet your needs at always, tellers are very pleasant and polite attentive willing to assist you always, ever since when this branch was opened that's where I go not even to my home branch I seldom go there customer service there is not so hot, so I want to big up this branch they are doing awesome job at this branch.

Went to branch months ago to request a change to my account, left signed instructions, was told someone would call me back, to date nothing has been done and no one ever called me, yesterday went another branch in Burlington to once again request the change, still not done! Can't understand why a simple request can't be taken care of

Very bad customer service, only one teller is working on tuesday morning, atleast 7 to 8 people were waiting outside front door and on top of that only one person can go inside the bank, where as there is sign on window that 6 person are allowed inside.
I think this covid situation is blessing in disguise for people who do not want to work.

Got a bank draft from RBC made to transfer funds for a large purchase and needed the funds immediately. Went to this bank and they were only able to have 30% of the bank draft available. What is the point of making a bank draft in my own name if I can't transfer the funds immediately? Unbelievable

I have been dealing with this branch since 2019. Being a businessman I deal with more than one bank and a few different individuals in Banking. Branch Manager at this location (Eric Arruda) is Fantastic. Though my experience with most staff members has been a positive one but Eric is truly exceptional. Always available, highly professional and almost always willing to help. Highly recommend.

We all expecting a high quality services which could deal with all our daily banking needs, provide us with enough serving time to solve our issues in a polite way, unfortunately the branch manager and the supervisor gaves me a hard time.feelt like I'm in a grocary asking them to fix my tire.which made it very obvious they didn't want to help.

If I have a draft that means the other bank is holding the fund fully and specifically for this draft, this is the meaning of having a Certified Cheque otherwise I could get a regular one without paying fee to get it certified, in addition to, the drawn bank verified by email immediately, that the cheque is clean and the fund available at the account, but it's still on hold for Five Business Days, For no reason!

Beside you should keep your customers not to advice them to go for another bank!

Slowest customer services ever observed! Tellers may take an hour to serve 5 customers. Pls spare an hour if you want to visit to withdraw cash from a teller counter.

Worst Branch. ATM never work. All 3 ATM machine are out of service most of the time. In last 2 months I have visited this branch 3 times and all 3 times they are out of service. Informed the teller - they are of no help.

Deposited a cheque and they told me they’ve put a hold on my account because they can,
And i don’t have access to my own money for 5 days.
That small white lady acts like she doesn’t care about their customers and is if the bank owns my money.
They don’t realise that we pay scotiabank for their services and we’ll that’s what their service looks like.
I made sure that I changed my home branch not gonna return here again ever.

Went to open student accounts for my children. Was told I had to come back after booking an appointment to open their accounts. I specifically asked if they needed to be with me because they are both under 16 years old and was with certainly told no. I arrive today for my appointment only to be told they couldn’t open accounts and issue bank cards because my kids weren’t with me. Will never go back to this branch when they don’t even know how their banking works. Went up the street and had two accounts open with bank cards within an hour.

Went to this location and was very disappointed with the service from this location. Went to get a bill broken into change (coins) and had to wait a good 10 minutes in line and then when i was finally served the teller was not very pleasant. When she asked what i needed and i told her i needed change she rolled her eyes and was not pleased to help me, even though what i needed done was a small task. Proceeded to get my change ready and once she had counted it out for me i asked for an envelope she handed me the envelope and just sat there. Normally tellers will put my money in the envelope for me, but she just sat there and watched me out my money (all my coins) into the envelope myself. This may sound pretentious but I've always had very good service at Scotia with the tellers, so it was shocking to have a teller who made it very obvious they didn't want to help me. Extremely disappointed and will not be coming back to this location.

Till now i have very good experience my account is in this branch and the staff is very helpful to me, Well organised. I just wanna mention a name that is Ryan santos, he is such a nice person. He help me in all the ways as soon as he get to know my problem he start working on it. Such a sweetheart he is, as he is there i need not to worry about anything.

Had an appointment booked with a financial advisor here during the day. This was a pre booked appointment I had made and was leaving my lunch break at work for it. When I got there with my wife and toddler they told us the advisor would be a few minutes late. The advisor did not come out to let us know this but A few times the manager on duty checked on us and checked on the scheduled advisor and kept telling us it would be just a few minutes. After 40 minutes the manager went in to talk to the advisor again and the advisor came out, and in a frantic and rude panic made a forced disingenuous apology and promised it would be another ten minutes. Needless to say we didn’t stay. The manager apologized and said he would call us back for a new meeting with him. We walked out and didn’t book another appointment with this branch and never heard from them again. This type of customer service has us currently actually exploring moving our mortgage from scotia to the TD In the same plaza. (My wife banks with TD). Could have just been a bad day for the branch but it was a really bad experience for us because we felt like that advisor felt his time was more
Important than ours.
