My $800 struck in this branch since 17th of August till today. I visited daily to bank there are not responsible. I would like to talk manager they never allowed me. Supervisor told me he would fix next day and gave me his direct phone number. I called more than 10 times he didn't answer. I don't know how can I get my money back. Who can help me?

The absolute worst experience ever. Not only is the branch completely miss-managed, but Scotia Bank itself has no idea what they are doing. By far thee worst of the big Canadian banks in terms of customer service, and knowledge. Website has multiple errors, telephone support can never fix anything, branch reps have subpar communications skills. It is honestly a joke. They have run 2 credit checks for the same credit card application and yet no one is able to find out the status of card. I was told to apply online, and the website had an internal error midway through the application, but another inquiry was sent for my credit check. WHY ARE YOU MESSING UP PEOPLES CREDIT SCORES FOR NO REASON. This entire institution is a fraud. Please stay away from Scotia Bank, any other banking institution will treat you better.

Who can help me

When they see me they asked me are you coming to the same issue. If they are fixing my issue why should I go there?

Here is my experience and you tell me if I'm being unfair:

- Had an in-person appointment with the only small business advisor in their branch on June 21,2022 to set up a trust account. When I met the advisor, she said "I have never done this before but let me do some research, and email you TODAY and I can have this set up by TONIGHT".

- I sent the advisor a follow-up email on June 22,2022 in the morning

- Advisor responds to me end of day June 22,2022 saying "I am going to be away - here's a pamphlet"

- I ask the advisor to transfer me to another person given the urgency of my request. It's now July 4,2022 and THE ADVISOR HAS NOT EMAILED ME BACK.

I wish I could give 0 stars.

Really want to give negative rating to Shalini Poopalan. I had appointments with her rather than giving advice she treated very rude. She don’t know what to talk and how to help. Worst branch experience in Canada

Disgusting service by Kanika.
I waited there for one hour as we made an appointment on the spot, which was absolutely fine.
However, after a long wait, she just behaved so unprofessional, giving false facial expressions and told me to come tomorrow and making excuses and asking me to bring more documents as needs to be uploaded.
When I did the same thing online by myself, at home, nothing was required and was able to do within 5 mins.
Terrible experience.

No star for this branch. This branch is the worst. The front desk and the security are really nice and professional. But one senior financial advisor called TJ i think, is of no help and doesn’t know what he is actually talking about. Find another branch to go pr request to see other financial advisor.

I recently moved to Scotia bank and in general I am happy with the products and promotions I have received. The only reason I am writing this review with one star is to show my frustration of one of the mortgage advise, Ceici Wang.
I had two phone appointments with her and she didn't show up, and she didn't even get back to me or send a message to rearrange it. I had to chase her around to get answer from her. Really frustrating.
Please take care of your clients. Their time have value as yours.

Very bad customer treatment. Had an appointment with Shalini Poopalan and was the worst experience in any bank i visited in Canada. Front desk customer service rep was helpful and opened the account instead of banker. But felt terrible on the way i was treated.

Very poor customer experience, will never go back to this bank again! Bank people are irresponsible and keep delaying doing the work by making excuses. It becomes annoying and tiring after a point!

Not a big fan of this branch. Loan officer name Kanika has an attitude. Gets irritated easily. We've been with Scotiabank for a long time, and this is the first time we got disappointed by the services.

I wanted to commend Thenuson (TJ) Jeyakanthan for his excellent customer service and guidance during my 2 appointments with this branch. During my visits, he was very polite and helpful suggesting that I should move my approved limits from the credit cards I wanted to close to a line of credit instead of having those limits on the new credit card I wanted to apply for. Appreciate his suggestions to have the best possible option there is for me, only goes to show he looks out for his clients. Thank you again TJ.

Customer service is so poor, sorry to say but it's my home branch, Scotiabank working hours need to increase, Most of the time Bank closed, Open account in another Bank than Scotiabank.

This bank's COVID protocols are a joke. They stop you at the door and take your name standing a foot away from you (not 6 feet) and make you wait with 6 other people in the front entrance by the machines. It's safer to let everyone in and stand 6 feet apart in line. When they let you enter you literally have to brush by the security gaurd and greeter. They ask 80 year old customers to pull out their smartphones and scan a QR to enter the service queue LOL. I bank with TD also and they just ask you to sanitize before entering and maintain distance. This brach offers an amazing experience of customer service.
I visited here last month from Mississauga in order to increase my cashback limit, Haseena helped me in much better way and took the quick action as per my requirements.
The branch manager is so cooperative as well, she helped me in making it faster as possible.

This is not my home branch but i needed an appointment today and this was the only branch available. I had an appointment with Kanika and she was incredible. She was very clear and understanding when dealing with me and firm when on the phone with the less than helpful call center. Thank you!

Most incompetent branch ever. I deal with them because they are close to my work. Every time I go in this branch they have an issue of not understanding something. I also deal with scotia at yonge and Sheppard and they actually have employees that know what their doing. Completely unacceptable I will look elsewhere for banking services moving forward.

Worst Scotiabank ever! Zero stars if possible! Signed up for a credit card in November and I never received it. Call them and apparently they forgot to process it. They resubmitted it for me in December and apparently something was wrong with their system but didn't bother to tell me about it or anything. I was aware of this when I called them in January asking where my card is. They needed me to go in and do the whole thing over again and everything finally went through in March and I received my credit card in April. Only took six months and 4 phone calls and 2 visits to get my scene credit card.

ATM machines are horrible. Trash. You can never deposit or withdrawal money, always telling you technical difficulties. How you going to have 3 machines and they all are useless. Please fix the issue.

Sharmila the mortgage specialist is perfect example to represent Scotiabank, she is extremely knowledge, extremely very efficient responding via email and phone. With my recent branch level experience i was ready to leave Scotiabank with more than 15 years of relationship with Scotiabank, Sharmila is the reason i'm still with Scotiabank because she has won my trust and faith with the level of service she has provided. That is really commendable.

Scotiabank should have more knowledgeable people like Sharmila, the branches i had issues with should learn from Sharmila how to provide the customer service. Sharmila listened to me on what I wanted and worked with me based on my request, she should be Scotiabank brand ambassador for service excellence and definitely is entitled for a reward for the service excellence.

They aren't very sure of what's going on usually. I came in here to get an account opened because of their association with Cineplex but I left without opening an account.

I don't trust a bank/branch when they don't know their own accounts they offer.

The customer service here was out of line.
I came to this branch where I was appointed to talk to Hasina Nasir at their counter about my issue.

Despite not being able to resolve my issue after claiming that she had spoke to her supervisor and manager (Donald Lau), the unnecessary attitude I was given by her was absolutely undeserved. I came to this bank with questions in regards to my account and the bank's services. Instead, I left feeling harassed by her responses.

Funny how low the ratings are for customer service. And after my experience today it's no wonder why.

As myself and countless others waited in line at the neighbouring pizza nova for their variety village pizza offer this afternoon.one woman (possibly from the branch. So let's call her SB) stood in line as well. After getting close to the front after being in line for at least 45 mins. SB began texting on her phone and before you know it. 3 other people showed up skipping the line to join her (At least 2 of these 3 were Scotiabank employees). One woman was dumb enough to walk in with her Scotiabank nametag.and brazenly walked past every single person waiting in line. Went to SB at the front.ordered her 2 pizzas and walked out. This set everyone else back at least a cpl mins that had been waiting for at least 1 hr as it was clear the nova staff was falling behind (no fault of their own). One of the bystanders in line called this out to a man in a suit who was with SB. When confronted he was skipping the line, he said "I'm just here to help [SB] carry out the 2 pizzas. I'm not ordering". This may be the dumbest thing I've ever heard as SB was quite capable of carrying 2 medium pepperoni pizzas out herself. But I let it slide.

Now while SB is waiting for her order.the nova cashier who had been running around did not see any of this. And asked the man in a suit if he was going to order. He then orders 2 cheese pizzas. Uhh. So I said "sir.you said you were just helping her carry the pizzas. Now you just ordered. You're lying". After he defended himself saying "no.they're for her.she's paying for it" another bystander in line questioned his rationale. He continued to deny it. But first off. He lied. Saying he wasn't there to order. Second.they all just jumped the line as they planted SB there. Now in total. These scotiabank pizza thieves made out with 8 pizzas. This set everyone behind them back about 10-15 mins. I guess they must have had a nice pizza party back at the office.

The point is. If these employees would run this kind of scam at pizza nova.what will they do with your money? The one guy in a suit insulted everyone's intelligence by lying. SB looked to be an intern possibly. The woman with the nametag had the audacity to walk in and mow thru ppl to get her 2 pizzas. The 4th person didn't say a word but was with the man in the suit. I would never trust scotiabank if these are the kinds of people they hire. If you care about character, morals and principles. This would be the last place I go.
