This branch location was where I went to convert some CAD into GBP. It took quite a while for them to produce the money, but I that isn't my issue with the branch. My issue is the currency they provided me is no longer accepted in the UK! Apparently they made the switch from paper printed money to a material more akin to our CAD bills. It wasn't until I was paying for a bill that I was told no shop would accept this currency and if I wanted to change it for legal tender, I would have to take the train to London which was over two hours away from my location. Nearly half the money they provided me was of no use whatsoever and this really hindered the trip fiscally. This is shameful and a mistake no financial institution should make.

Terrible staff and customer service. I went to this branch to open a bank account and apply for credit card. Yuming “helped” me. Nothing she setup worked properly. Never got responds to my emails and calls for over 2 weeks. I emailed the brach manager as well to see if she could help but no luck its been over 2 months and still no response. I asked them to help me with business banking for my small business Yuming told me to go to another scotiabank branch because she said their business specialist left the branch and she said they're going to hire a new person until then they cant help people with business banking. She didnt even help me book an appoitment at another branch. Eventually I went an pulled out all my money and cancelled my accounts with them. Do yourself a favor and dont even walk into this branch. I just cant believe how bad my experience with them was. Scotiabank needs to hire people with more experience. Worst bank ever!

Came here to get an account opened and they said that I need an appointment. The financial advisor was there chilling. Pathetic customer service.

You have confirmed my lost faith for scotiabank,

the negligence and ability to lie to my face and waste my time.

You’e taken over two weeks to respond or even connect me to someone with competence after an hr of in person consultations. This is not my first run in with Scotia bank communication issues.

This is my livelihood and I hope noones plays with yours like you do with other people.

I have amended my five star review to one star.
As I have said before, I have a business account. Apparently you have recently changed your protocols for deposits and this is creating quite a headache. They need phone numbers, addresses, driver's license etc. I don't know whose decision this was or for what reason, but what it shows me is that Scotiabank has absolutely no regard for the time of somebody who owns their own business and is showing quite a lot of contempt for business owners. This takes a toll on the people who are working at the bank, it takes a toll on the people who come behind me at the bank and it takes up my valuable time. I will be looking for other alternatives because they are available. You are awful for what you are doing to me, your customers and your workforce.
PS I cannot begin to tell you how courteous, helpful and knowledgeable the staff is at this location. You should be ashamed at what you are doing to them and your guests.

This branch is medium-sized. They have only had 2 to 3 tellers at a time. Everyone is more than willing to help you in any way they can. My only negative review is that they greet everyone based on their gender, like saying “hello ma’am, hello sir”, I feel they should address that, it’s very uncomfortable if they get the gender of the individual wrong. Which happen to me on a few occasions.

Second time I receive aggressive behaviour of a homeless in the ATM while I’m withdrawing cash, and bank personnel is just fine with that.
You need to hire security for this branch as often times there is someone next to you by the ATM. Ok if you let them sleep during the night, but I don’t think this is right during the day.

This place is very nice. The workers are very polite and having very nice behavior. There is worker name Robert, he provides excellent service. I am happy to be here and meet with Robert. As he provide service like a good friend. Thank you.

This place deserves a zero star. An unprofessional, and discriminatory bank. Several emails sent to the Financial advisor assigned to the account and couldn't answer simple questions, no follow through or follow up.

Yamshika (I believe her name was) was amazing and helped me fully. Very nice woman - She knows how to do her job fully too. She follows all protocols and security. She needs a promotion!

For Scotiabank customers only. Went in to get change in coins and teller asked for a debit card. I indicated I was not a customer and that I was just seeking change for some cash yet she reiterated a debit card is required. I pulled out my debit card from an online bank and she said they don't take that, so I left. Breaking a $20 bill is not a transaction that requires a debit card.

I have never had such a bad experience with a bank before in my life. Just realised over the past 8 years they have been strategically chatging me robbing over $50000 from my account. All they suggest is that i close down my bank account but seeing as how they have me negated i cannot. I have asked to have an incestigation into my account they told me no. Im not sure what is up with scotiabank but i will never trust my money with them again my sons whole future was stolen. And it makes no sense ive contacted a lawyer as thats how serious this has gotten

Yup absolute worst customer service you could possibly get. Highly unprofessional. The financial planner, Husein slatewala was unable to bring up my newly made chequing account on the computer, he told me to come back another day even though the bank was closed for the next 2 days because of the holidays. 10 mins later turns out he was putting in the wrong birth year on my account the entire time. No apology for the inconvenience. Cant believe a financial planner is so incredibly inept. Made me get my license out of my wallet 5 times. Just take it once and check properly? Or get your eyes checked. He asks for a secondary ID and he proceeds to tell me my OHIP card is not a valid ID? Such a simple task, he made difficult. I ended up closing the account altogether just from this experience because it was so frustrating and will not bank with scotiabank in the future! Avoid this place the reviews tell you all you need to know! The employees are incompetent and will make your life difficult

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The branch made a major error on my account. I went into the branch to get it sorted out. However, the customer service lead by the name of Denis. N gave me attitude instead. Even went as far as rolling her eyes and slamming things around. I'm so happy to not be banking with scotiabank anymore. I HAVE NEVER HAD ISSUES LIKE THIS WITH RBC! I advise you to never go to this branch

Pathetic customer service at this branch. The branch wasn't busy at all and I was still made to wait 30 minutes for an appointment they set for me only to get no answers from the reps.

The most unprofessional, discriminatory bank I have ever been to. I sincerely hope this branch closes and/or is restaffed, it gives Scotiabank as a whole a bad name.

The worst customer experience I had in my life in any bank, shop or service provider. Carolina Arenas, the branch manager does not reply the e-mails, pick up the phone or return the calls left in the voice mail. Also, if you call 1-888-4-SCOTIA to try to solve something that they don't have in the list of silly procedures, they will cut the call while speaking, simulating a problem in the line (happened 6 times on a row, really?). Skip this branch and Scotiabank as a whole.

I was misinformed by their employees on how cash back can be redeemed on my scotiabank card. I thought Lesliville branch was the worst. But this branch beats them.

I used to go here all the time. I don't know what happened at this branch over the last year but now every time I visit this location my experience there is very disappointing. Booking a simple appointment with a manager was an adventure of 2 weeks! I had to reschedule it later and the person never got back to me to confirm another date. I left few voice messages and few emails. None of them got answered neither by the person or by receptionist. If this is how I'm being treated to simply communicate the date of the meeting then what kind of financial advice should I expect to receive? Rude and unreliable client service.

I opened a savings account via the Scotia Bank app during a promotion and went in to this location to personally deposit a check with a teller to insure the money went straight into the newly opened savings account as it requires"new money" be deposited to qualify for the promotional bonus interest.

Even after I explained this to the teller and his manager whom was standing behind him they deposited the money into the wrong account which disqualified those funds from the promotion.

I then had to explain this to one of their financial advisors which amounted in 3 weeks of back and forth with them only to be told they can't fix their mistake and was told to contact Scotia to figure out what department could fix their mistake.

Not only did they lack any accountability, but they emailed me incomplete contact info for a department that supposedly could have been able to help which I emailed them back to get and never heard back from them.

I've reached out to Scotia in other ways and sadly everyone I spoke to said they were powerless to fix their mistake, but hey, they had no problem opening the account to take my money.

What disappointed me the most however was the staff at this location were completely clueless to this promotion and how their own phone app worked, nor did they have the knowledge who to contact to fix their mistake.
