Pathetic Customer Service. Didn't even bothered to know my name and hear what I had to say, directly told me to call customer care number first. I insisted that I want to complete my transaction here as I don't have access to my debit card and need a new one they said place a request online. I have never seen such arrogant, disrespect full of bad attitude people in a customer service role. If I would be in charge I'll fire those 2 ladies (brianna and other was with curled brown/golden hairs) who interacted with me. I feel bad for people who are not tech savvy and are dependent on such kind of people to help them with their daily banking needs.

The ATM machine was not working properly and a homeless person was laying in the ATM vestibule. Other then then I got my work done.

The american african lady was so bullish and rude, racist. My wife really needed to use washroom, she denied and told us, it’s out of service even though one of their employees used 10 mins prior to incident.

My family and I have been dealing with Nandhini Murali at this branch for a long time. She is very knowledgeable and very helpful with any questions I have. She always responds to emails in a timely manner and is always available to meet in person. She takes her time to explain everything in a concise manner. Highly recommend dealing with Nandhini at this branch - she is great.

Long-term staff are very Disrespectful and treated me with zero respect. Would not recommend making this your home branch. I have been with this branch for 7 years. I Would not send my worst Enemy here!

Terrible customer service! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SCOTIA BANK to anyone, and especially not this particular branch.

After deciding to switch to another bank due to the utterly disappointing customer service, we called the branch to see if they were open for us to walk in and close the account which was kept on hold since it was opened due to mysterious reasons that no one was able to explain to us.

Due to the heavy snow, we wanted to make sure they were open, and of course, no one picks up the phone at this branch. But the answering machine tells us the branch is well open until its very early closing time.

Imagine our frustration after walking to the branch in a snow storm for 30 minutes, only to find out the staff is not in today, and so the branch is closed.

I understand that it is your right as a citizen not to provide good service to your customers, but please, at least get someone to update your answering machine. Thanks!

Very bad customer service experience here. No one is calling back, need to wait for longer time to just speak with advisor on scheduled time and incorrect information everywhere and a worst Manager to assist. Never ever associate with this branch. This reduced my confidence in Scotia

One of the useless branch of the Scotia-bank. I never seen like that types of employee before that they even can’t help about something that I needed. Most of things that they can help about self service which most of people can do if they know how to do. Don’t even in the mood for talking about manager. What actually are they doing in there? Different days different types of opinions. Didn’t solve my problem instead wasted my long time by saying that few more minutes and few more minutes.

I called the Scotia Bank Customer care and they confirmed that bank at this particular location is open, but after visiting I see that it was closed.not sure why bank is providing wrong information and wasting others time.

According to my knowledge Scotia bank is facing increased number of frauds.
So when you visit this branch don't get surprised if they treat you as like you are going to do fraud. Because that's how they treated me.
And I was there to deposit a demand draft and seriously you gonna treat like this way!
If the same service you guys will provide there will be a day when branch will have more employees then customers.

If you are new to Scotiabank for your banking needs or are planning to settle down with a mortgage - definitely book an appointment with Melissa Ferguson. She was not only patient with me and listened to my situation but provided very practical solutions for my future goals and plans. I have been to the branch multiple times and the teller and other staff are also very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

First appt Aug 20. Still awaiting closure (they said it would take 2 weeks) -rep never calls back & when problem escalated, only then do we get a response. Worse experience ever. Beneficiary still waiting for $. Glad I didn't transfer my personal retirement $ or life insurance to them. Should close this branch down. Avoid them for your own peace of mind.

Employees who don’t really know what they are doing and a branch manager who doesn’t care about clients. I closed my accounts of 35 years because of the disrespect from this branch manager. She would not reply to my several calls, emails, nor would she reply when her employees brought an issue to her attention. I took my accounts to TD bank down the street at parkway mall who graciously accepted my business. Avoid this branch. I looked up ratings of the neighbouring scotia banks who all had terrible ratings. Took my business elsewhere as should you.

I have been to this branch few times, the staff are not knowing the correct information and too slow. The branch manager is very rude and Not helpful at all. She needs to take customer service course. I am planning to close my account and go to other bank. My home branch is the best but now too far to go as we moved, this branch really needs to change since it is not good for scotia bank reputation.

I really do think everyone at this branch needs to be retrained, especially in the area of customer service. Absolutely no clue what they are doing week after week.

Worst branch visit ever (all of them are bad still I bank with them).

Waited 30 mins for already booked appointment and didn't even get a chance to talk to the person whose appointment I booked.

The person who helped me was not that knowledgeable. It feel like I know more about their products compared to advisors.

Overall not a good experience.

Bad first experience with this Branch, non proficiently treatment for the clients in rude not respectful way, the manger need urgent course to deal respectfully some employer have not enough information, and gave me misleading information. At this bad situation I don't recommend dealing, I will go back to my respectful CIBC BANK. I wish the main office read the reviews and deal with that effectively.
I have visited the branch yesterday day April 14, and faced tough non respect treatment from manger in that day.she is bad customer service and hurt the reputation of Scotiabank. I asked head office to figure that bad manager and send her to improve her regulartogh behavior. The head office ignore the many negative review. It takes One star from multiple different customers. I think to switch to another respectful band soon. Tow of my relatives switched yesterday due to that bad customer service. By the way the young tillar there are very nice and cooperative with clientus.

Ive been with scotiabank for over 20 years.this is literally thee worst location ever. They used to be at parkway and are just as useless at this new location. Always have problems with the employees here, always giving out false information because they are too lazy to do a simple task. They dont know much about their own services. Do not make them your home branch. Dont bother going to them with problems minor or major. They dont know.

Absolutely terrible branch. Tried to open an account twice and after making us wait for an advisor, had the audacity to tell us that our appointment was one hour earlier than the time we showed up that's why we were made to wait. There is a reason why they are giving out so many bonuses to open an account because otherwise with their terrible customer service, who would ever want to open an account at Scotiabank?

Absolutely stay away.

Advisors say they will get back to you via phone or email but will ignore your multiple attempts to reach them for follow up. Manager hasn't trained them the basics partially because she herself is clueless. Scotiabank, for milking maximum $$ from us, at least train your staff properly.

Am not sure why this place is having such a low rating. Customer representative Josh helped me sort out my issue extremely quickly and I was able to get on with my other important things within a matter of 5 minutes.

If there's an option to give ZERO, this branch definitely deserveS it. The branch called my mom to pick up her mail. She went right away as it was an important document. She was told to wait for an advisor to discuss the matter. When the advisor approached her while holding the mail, she was asked about some details regarding the document. Since the document only needs the signature of an advisor, my mom thought that advisor will sign it after asking questions regarding the matter at hand. However, the advisor immediately shrugged off my mom as soon as she saw a client holding what it looks like a "present". My mom still waited for almost an hour for her document to be signed by that advisor. My mom complained to the staff and was told that the client was before her. LIE. My mom was there before that client. Again, she was told that the client had an appointment. LIE. The client did not have an appointment. That person walked in with a huge wrapped up item (present). My mom only needs a signature, ONE SIGNATURE! It can be done in less than a minute. The advisor did not even tell her to wait or anything, she just walked off. How rude can you get? ! Very unprofessional! I was not surprise when I saw the rating and read the experiences of other clients. Either close this branch or change the staff!

On march 4th 2019, when I arrived at the donmills and Yorkmills branch. I spoked to the teller about in holding my cash and cheque. He explain that only the supervisor can do that and he is sick for the day! I ask okay if there is another person that can help out, he said no! Offer me to come back and call ahead tomorrow when he is back!

The customer service of this branch is very poor, this is the worst branch i have ever seen, for making an appointment with adviser, they asked you thousand question on the phone, still could not get it, their personal banker are sitting and have nothing to do, but they dont want to answer your question, very very rude

My experience at this bank has been the most traumatizing experience I've ever had at a bank. After having a panic attack at this locations and having my head fill with suicidal thoughts I've learned to never go back there. TRULY DISGUSTING! METAL PLATES IN MY ANKLE AND NERVE DAMAGE IN BOTH ARMS FROM BEING A PEDESTRIAN WHO GOT HIT BY A CAR! I live by this location but I was always at bayview village cause I supervised the shoppers drug mart. I use to only use the atm at this location and actually had a warm feeling when I see a majority of successful black people working and being role models for someone like me. I was wrong.so wrong. They excused my question like I was nobody. Bayview village: Tishanna (not sure if I got the spelling right) Ali Sara and more. I miss banking at that location cause they have seen how hard I work. I taken myself out of community housing and I've been supporting myself. The only person helping me through this is a narcissistic friend. My family and friends I thought I had have abandoned me through this and I've just been trying. My home branch even has seen I'm still trying. Throughout this entire thing I managed to pay of my credit card, later than I wanted to but I maxed it out and I always pay my debts. And I dont complain about the interest cause it's my fault. This bank just wont deposit my cheque telling me to get a note on my account from my home branch. Accepting it once. And then telling me they wont accept it Nd theres no note. Having me confused for a few months given up and focused on doctors appointments. Just to find out from my home location that the note is still there! My home branch put a note and a phone number with the managers name to call if theres any issues and they wont call. They lied and I feel like I've been targeted by this location. I guess limping cause of the metal in my ankle and having body tremors from my ptsd makes me look abnormal.
