Needless to say, after my visit at the bank today I will be withdrawing all funds and moving my finances to another financial institution. I visited the bank today to do a small transaction of switching $80 of $5 bills to larger denominations and the teller refused to serve me without giving my bank card because she said she needed my personal information to put the transaction through. I am old. I have been banking with scotiabank for years and also in my line of work I have had to visit the major banks daily and trade cash for larger or smaller denominations and have never been asked for a card. These new bank policies I don’t support. I have been trading cash with the bank for years without having to give my personal information. Cash is king and must remain so.

Another thing to mention is the teller I dealt with was rude and had an attitude from the beginning even with the tone of voice she used to say “can I help you here. ” I’m a visible minority and you can get the feeling when someone is looking down at you. Thankfully the lady at the teller next to me said I have some 20s, I’ll trade you! So I did get served in the end.:) Thankyou.

Received one of the best services from a Scotia bank location. The young south Asian lady was polite and helpful. Keep it up!

We originally worked with a broker who recommended Scotiabank. They don't seem organized. I have no plans to renew my mortgage with them. I told them I was thinking about moving all my stuff from CIBC but I am glad I didn't. Honestly the tellers are there to help you with what they can but the buck/accountability stops there.

Shoutout to Jane Walsh for their "help" and her audacity to berate me as well as say she "stuck her neck out for me" by making a single phone call to a co-worker which I could have made myself. As a finanical advisor, treating customers like criminals might not prolong business

This branch does not have ATMs open after hours. There is a drive thru atm with limited features that’s open, but you cannot access the normal ATMs inside (as you can at all the other branches) anytime after the bank closes at 4pm.

Worst branch ever visited. Booked my appointment 2 weeks before, was rescheduled without letting me know employees are rude and Monika Sharma doesn’t know what is professionalism.

Went there for a loan never got a response til I went to the one in tavistock don’t go there they never get back to you

They lock the doors to the ATMs at 430pm on Friday, leaving you no access to ATMs all weekend. When I inquired the assistant manager suggested I use another banks ATM "Like RBC across the street". Now I wonder why I don't just take my accounts to RBC since they seem to be more reliable.
Apparently Cambridge customers don't get the same service as every other city in the province, even though we pay the same service fees.
ATMs should be accessible 24hrs a day! No excuse

In my personal experience, the bank manager Aida Resendes, did not care enough for our business. We have chosen to stay with our current banks (Cibc & Rbc). We feel based on her minimal actions that Scotia Bank and this branch in particular don’t carry the same level of professionalism and customer service expected.

Found them to be waaay better than 72 Main St. These guys had pretty fast reception (I didnt have to wait an hour+), and bank tellers were really nice too. Highly reccomend going to them.

They love ripping off their clients. If you like getting ripped off, paying hundreds of service fees. Choose this bank.
