This bank is a joke. 30 minute wait for withdrawal. ATM won’t let me do a withdrawal transaction.

We’ve just arrived in Canada after my relocation and wanted to open a bank account. Milixa and Jade helped us a lot! Big thanks to them. They drew so professional and so kind. Thank you again ladies. I do recommend this bank:)

No problem with the staff. I am complaining about the limited hours the bank is open. Getting hesitant to put in more deposit with Scotia. TD bank hours and system works better for us. I do hope they bring back the extended hours on Thursday and Fridays.

I went there to get a loan, I wanted to buy a USED CAR. I’m on work permit. My advisor name was “BHANU KAURA”. She took 1. Hour, uploaded my all docs, verified details and everything. At the end system denied my loan. I’m rating 1 star not because they denied my loan. But, that employee didn’t have any single reason why my loan can’t get approval. She replied, ” I don’t know why, but I tried, still not approving”. The very next day I went at TD bank. They replied within a second, a temporary resident can’t get loan approval. Just a simple, quick, and logical answer by their advisor.
How foolish that bhanu is who took my 1.5 hour, and denied the loan without any reason. And I saw EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR award on her desk. We I see how much garbage collection you have collected at all of your branches Scotia.

My husband and I are customers of this branch for about 4 years. Every part and every individual who we worked with were very polite and responsible. We have different accounts with the other banks as well but mostely prefer to work with this bank and branch.
I really surprised with some previous reviews. I didn't have any negative experience here! I think if people who are satisfied place their review as well, this part would be more beneficial for people in the decision making process.

I have been trying to speak with the financial advisor that was assigned to me.multiple attempts and appointments made and didn't call back.will be looking for another bank! Horrible bank/branch

Yesterday called Scotia to close an account and was on hold 30 minutes, customer service told me they were transferring me to another department which resulted in a quick Scotia advertisement and abruptly disconnected. Called back and waited another 30 minutes. Had a very nice customer service person on the line but ended up advising me that I needed to speak to someone in customer "retention". I set up a telephone appointment with a person at Scotia Sheridan branch named Mariann Khan. She was supposed to call me today at 1: 30. It is now 1: 50 and still no call. I called the branch to see if I could get through to this person and am now on hold again with another "wait time of at least 20 minutes". A very frustrated customer! This is not helping your cause in "customer retention".

This review is for Scotia Bank's terrible service, not necessarily The Sheridan Branch

I tried for two days to pay bills online and spent three times waiting online and finally gave up. Then tried calling directly to Sheridan Branch, finally someone in Colombia answered.
I told him I could get into my account but not pay my bills (no problem with Money in the account). I asked him why he could pay my bills from Colombia but I could not, when I live a few klms away from the Branch.
He was very polite, but could not answer or get through to the Sheridan Branch. Who cares about this?
I was told recently that this bank can hold up a Bank Draft (just received from another bank) I thought the person had lost their mind. This is the new normal?
Something very wrong in this banking system.

I have been using this branch for the last several years. The current team is so much better. I was pleasantly surprised. I would welcome all to try it out again. Good work guys! Keep it up.

This branch was horrible to me when I attempted to open a student account for my child. I ended up leaving and go to another branch that treated me with kindness and respect. I will never recommend this branch to ANYONE!

The financial advisors here are completely incompetent. Do not tell you all the facts and lie to your face. One advisor had a human error and mistakenly counted a transfer from my TFSA as a withdrawal and delayed opening my investing account for a week, which costs me hundreds of dollars in the market. As well as the outrages trade fees they charge. It has also cost me over $300 to transfer my own money out of this awful bank to another one. This is ridiculous, incompetent people work here. The manager tried her best to rectify to mistake but the damage was done.

I had an issue that I thought I needed an appointment for and because of their prompt and immediate service, I was able to get it done the same day.
