When I first started using this clinic it was good, but the clinic is now absolutely garbage. They no longer treat anyone under 16; when this new rule came into place they never informed me (my son was a patient). They've recently stopped renewing any prescriptions via phone or fax and their "virtual clinic" refuses to treat me because the walk-in is open. I had to come all the way to the clinic for a refill of a very important medication, I've been waiting for half an hour because the doctor is late. So I'm taking time out of my day just for them to send in a prescription for a medication I have been taking and reordering through the pharmacy for 3 years.
I love this place! It's the only walk in clinic I will go to. The doctors are always super friendly and really take the time to explain everything to me. They took my issues seriously and while there's long wait times occasionally, I feel that's to be expected with a walk in clinic and it's only because they are doing thorough assessments with each patient.
If your looking for care for someone under the age of 16 don’t go to this walk-in. I brought my 12 year old in just after 8am when they opened and there were only 2 people in the waiting room but they said they couldn’t see her because they have a new policy that they no longer see anyone under the age of 16. I wish that it would have been listed online so that I didn’t bring my sick child all the way there to be turned away.
Hi there! My name is Matt and I've been a patient at this clinic for about four years. I have schizophrenia and I'm on methadone for past substance abuse. I normally see Azmina Atif who is a PA at this practice. She SHOULD be able to work as a full MD in this country but because of legal red tape involved in the licensing process, she is in administrative limbo. Her medical knowledge is very apparent and her bedside manner is second to none. I am validated and treated with compassion by all the staff there and I have had some long wait times, but that was my fault. (showing up too late as well as not realizing they were as busy as they were.) In a time where we have a shortage of family doctors and a qualified, willing, educated person who would like to do that, you'd think that they wouldn't stonewall her. I see another doctor who works with the methadone clinic I go to who deals only with methadone and it's side effects and is wonderful. I also see a psychiatrist occasionally who is also wonderful. I'm so happy I found this place and I will continue to go for a long time in the future. I also get testosterone injections and when it can't be done at the methadone clinic, I know I can go to the Scott Street Clinic and get the injection. Thanks for reading my review. - Matthew Richard
STAY AWAY! These guys could care less about the patients. Wait times are ridiculous. I was one of 5 people there and waited for hours. I finally left the waiting room and asked the person who said he was a doctor why the long wait (he said he was the boss to the receptionist, so he is probably the owner). He was very rude and said that there was only one doctor and that if I couldn't wait for a few minutes, I could just leave, followed by, "We look forward to your NEGATIVE review! "
There are many other clinics that will take much better care of you in a prompt fashion. I went to Carlton Medical Centre and was seen by a doctor within 15-20 minutes. Compare the reviews between these clinics and make the right choice. Places like this do not deserve to be in business.
Do not come. Horrible waiting time. They sent other patients who came after me. To see a doc here, forever. You have to spend your waiting time at least 2hours. Horrible receptionist, horrible doc.
I have been to this clinic several times now and have had great experiences each time. The front administrative staff is professional and friendly. The doctors and their staff have been patient and very informative. This is a small but very well run clinic.
Used to love this clinic. Last time I went I just needed an injection, was sent away two different days (an hour before they closed) because they were at capacity. I just called to try to make an appointment to avoid this happening again and was told I cannot make an appointment, walk ins only, and they accommodate people who are just getting an injection. I said that’s odd because when I came last time you guys sent me away twice; she says oh yeah we reach capacity around 4pm (they close at 8pm) so if you could come before that then you would get in.
I said I work; I’m not going to make it before 4pm - and then sit there for god knows how long, just for a simple 3 second injection. Then she informs me they actually changed their hours and they close TWO hours earlier now. When they couldn’t even handle the amount of patients they had before.
Won’t be returning here. I really enjoyed the female doctor, she was always friendly and kind. But that isn’t enough to make me want to return. This place needs a serious overhaul. Reviews are horrible.
Came here over 2 hrs before close with 2 ppl sitting down. They were at full capacity, which is ridiculous. Additional negative 10 stars for the asian receptionist, who seems in over her head, poor attitude and unprofessional. My partner had the same experience. The other receptionist is good though.
IF YOU NEED A WALK IN, DO NOT. GO. HERE. I Never write negative reviews. I Hate being negative, hurting businesses, etc. This place needs an overhaul. I think they have taken on too many patients into the Family Medical Centre, and no longer have capacity for Walk-ins. I walked in at 9: 20, covid checked by 9: 40, and then sat until 12: 00 until I was seen. I watched countless people walk in after me, and be seen (appointments). 3 walk-ins seen in 2 hours seems slow. I listened to reception tell each person that walked in that it would be an additional hour. 1 person in line, 1hour, 2? 2.hours, 3? 3 hours. 4? Still 3 hours. I also watched countless people walk in, check in, covid screen and THEN they tell them oh btw, 3 hours.they were understandably upset.oh BTW, did I mention I was made to do my own Strep Throat Swab? Seems like there could be an error in testing with that style of practice, because I have NO IDEA how to swab a throat for strep. What if I didnt do it properly, and therefore it turns up negative? Well, then I would potentially enjoy scarlet fever weeks later. Dangerous. Slow. This place stinks.
How does this practice not accept medical mask exemptions even if they’re from a doctor? I hope someone with asthma passes out smacks their face off the ground$$$$
This doctor and the staff are nothing but remarkable. Yes, we had to wait a very long time but what people don't realize is that there is one doctor and patients flooding through the doors. The waiting room looks empty but thats because everyone is waiting in their cars, or coming back when their wait time is over. Please be patient with them. The doctor, she is compassionate, empathetic and kind. Also, this nasty virus thats going around is awful and if you can take all necessary precautions to avoid getting it because myself and my family are really suffering. I hope you health and wellness if you are reading this
I went into this place @ 5PM and they told me they had no doctors. What type of walk in clinic doesn’t have doctors? Absolutely terrible place. Call before to see if they even have any doctors. So stupid.
Got there at 3 and told us we'd be 30 minutes, we were the only ones in the waiting room. 30 minutes go by and they taken in the 3 other people the came in after us. Now the waiting room is full, went up to see how much longer because it had been and hour and they were really dismissive. It's now been 2 hours and they've been saying we'd be next for the past hour. Yet they've taken 4 other patients.
We are visiting Ontario and my son is sick. I called over 10 clinics in Niagara and St. Catherines today on Oct. 10,2022, and they either didnt answer their phone, or they were closed. It was a holiday, and the hospital emerg.had a 5hr wait time. Scott Street Medical was the only please who answered our call. Took my son for an eye infection and cough. They did a rapid test and we were able to see the doctor shortly after. The receptionists and doctor were very friendly and quick.
Just waited 20 mins with no one at reception, after finally calling someone over because there was a line up behind me, I am told they are at capacity for the night. Hour and 45 minutes before close they are no longer taking patients, which is fine but the receptionist was rude and there was no sign to let people know not to wait.
The PA I saw was extremely rude. As a health practitioner you need to have empathy and compassion for your patients and she does not have any clearly. I’m in severe pain, and so I’m not the most smiley person I’ve been in my life right now. And instead of having empathy and compassion, she was rude to me. On top of that, she gave very brief instructions and then immediately left without allowing me to ask any questions. The type of examination she did for me, I have never done before so I wanted more clarification. When I wasn’t sure, she spoke to me like I was stupid. I don’t care if you’ve been a health practitioner for 25 years or 1 year, having empathy, compassion, and politeness should be mandatory to be a practicing front line worker. Not really sure how she passed her practical exam with the attitude she dishes out to people.
This clinic doesn't provide any patients privacy. Lack of Confidentiality and Privacy due to the design of their clinic. I can hear other patients complaints while talking to the front desk. Ministry of Health Ontario must act on this problem. Some of their staff are nice, some are not welcoming and respectful.
It is always something! I just found out that my 15 month old son has to get 6 vaccines redone because they mis handled the vaccines an failed to tell me I had to find out through public health! Terrible is an understatement so if you had vaccines done through them in the last year I suggest you ask if they are valid or not because they don’t feel the need to contact their patients to tell them! So disappointed!
Thank you EMILY for your empathy! I was at the pharmacy and the doctor forgot to enter the LU code and she tried to obtain it just after 8pm (they were closed) she was unable to provide it but her effort was appreciated! She even listened to my 3min rant! So shoutout to the ones who still work hard, even when no one’s watching!
I went to this walk in clinic to address a many elevated blood test and urine test result. Dr Azmina Atif was working that morning. I received a careless treatment. She said "traces of bloods are ok in the urine" Also "if you do not have abdominal pain you are fine" I told her I thought Drs are here to prevent sickness. I would not recommend her to my own enemies! End of the day she did nothing and my Health Card will be charged for what? A third world country takes better care about the patiences than her! It is same we have less Drs and more of them do not care!
Appt with Dr. H Singh for 1st time. Went for UTI, chest pain & repeat scripts for 3 months. I had print out of meds & labs I wanted done. She stated she does not order the Urine C&S since so many people are on antibiotics. I said I need to have this tested to diagnose the UTI. She immediately raised her voice becoming rude & talking fast without listening to me. She said “Speak up” in a surly voice. After that it was downhill with her parroting me with every comment. I did not get a compassionate or informative conversation leading towards testing for a UTI for ordering an ECG for my chest pain. Her only concern was I was ignoring her expertise as a Dr re no Urine for C&S so she dismissed me with only doing the scripts. Then left the room without a word about my other problems. I asked the Pharmacy if med scripts were faxed over and they said “yes” but for one month. I asked for three months and she deliberately only ordered for one month. She is so deliberate, hateful, incompetent, rude, self absorbed & arrogant in her interaction with me in a two minute meeting. Now I see why most of the reviews are negative. Now that Bag PA is gone I cannot go back to this clinic. The front desk gals are great but this Dr should not be in charge treating myself as a disabled senior like this. She has no understanding of the human condition & no compassion to help others. I put a call in to officially complain to the College of Physicians & Surgeons. Let’s see what her excuse is. Most likely blaming the patient for treating her bad when she was the one being super unprofessional. I was a RN for 35 years & would never treat my patients that way. There are other clinics that are better so don’t pick this one!
We've visited this clinic a few times now, and each time we've been left disappointed.
The first time, the doctor grilled and guilted my girlfriend for needing a doctor's note.
This also happened the next time I needed a doctor's note due to missing a work day next to a stat holiday.
Finally, I went in for acute back muscle pain, the doctor prescribed OTC naproxen, which I had already stated I had been taking and did not have an effect (same strength), as well as Baclofen, which also didn't have any effect. Upon researching this drug, it's used for spinal cord injuries and MS, neither of which applied to my case.
I wouldn't recommend this clinic if you're seeking any help medically.
I'd much sooner recommend the clinic across the street.
The despicable human being with purple gauge earrings, and a skull tattoo on her arm, refused my daughter treatment due to a cough yesterday. We have been there 3 other times during COVID, same symptoms and they saw her no problem. We know the cough is asthma related and we needed a stethoscope put to her chest, she refused. There was another baby in the waiting room with a cough who was allowed to be seen so why not us? My asthmatic daughter is 2 you piece of garbage.
After my husband called her a despicable human being she proceeded to call the cops. Yes, this despicable person wasted the resources of the police because she was called dispickable (which is facts).
Due to the cops being called he obviously had to wait which delayed my child treatment even further. He would of went to another clinic instead of waiting for the police to come and do nothing because nothing happened.
This person should be fired and so should the person who thought it was a good idea to hire her. She should not be a receptionist dealing with the public, especially health care.
Awesome service, the receptionist was extra customer service focussed. Dr. Harleen Kaur Singh was excellent.awesome sense of humour and so positive for a 12-14 hour work day.just amazing!? Kudos!
Yesterday i brought my 10 month old in because she had a dry cough and very congested chest from mucas. Mind you thisbis not my regulae clinc but it was only one close and open at the time. They told me no we cannot see you as those symptoms are to close to covid but we will schedule a call, they called i explained every issue that my daughter was experiancing and he said just use over the counter medicine we cannot prescribe anything shes too young its a common cold, Me being a mom lookig at my kid i can see she is hurting and having trouble breathing i decide to go to my regular walk in today. The doctor knew from just listening to her breathing then checking her out that she had a infection and needed medicine and also asthma puffers as her breathing was being effected smh now image if i did not follow my gut because i listen to a doctor smh. I am so upset and angry this is crazy parents bring there child in before things get to bad and end up E. R are being told no because it "sounds" like covid. Thats messed in so many ways. I will never go here again.
Receptionist had 0 urgency when the waiting room had 4 separate parties waiting to be checked in. Once I was able to get to the front I was then turned away and told to call a virtual doctor. I will not be going here again, beyond disappointed in this experience.
Honestly.long wait times, no one seems rushed to wanna help or even give decent treatment.they will let appointments ahead of you even if it been over two hours you are waiting for a simple walk in clinic, I work 12 hours shifts and the last thing I need is and extra 2 hour wait for nothing.
I just called there and the receptionist couldn’t have been more rude to me wouldn’t even let me finish asking a question. I asked if they take walk ins (with COVID I’m not sure and a lot of walk in clinics have switched to not taking walk ins or dr’s are too busy) and she was so clearly annoyed. I will not be visiting here because if their practice is any reflection of that woman I just spoke to on the phone I would not get the proper help that I need. Train your front desk women in service please! Or find someone who is not miserable!
Horrible service. Went there with my daughter and was refused care because she had a cold. We made sure to take rapid tests before going in but the receptionist said they could only see her if she had taken a PCR test (which is not even available) within the last 48 hours. My family is registered at this clinic and we were still denied care. If your family clinic doesn’t care about your health, that’s really troubling. I will be looking for another family doctor.
HANDS DOWN worst experience ever, major waste of time. The doctor refused to help me, for a minor issue. Save yourself a little bit of time, and sanity go somewhere else.
I went in and Sam was working at the time and he was absolutely wonderful. Probably one of the best I’ve seen. He was extremely knowledgeable, and very patient answering all of my questions. Just overall eager to help and very kind and thorough. I came in to address one issue, and he made sure to get every detail and go over everything with me in detail. Absolutely amazing. I left feeling very confident in the information I was given and if I didn’t already have a family doctor, this would be my go-to spot. We need more doctors like this! Clinic is lucky to have an individual like this working there. Have always had great experiences here. Very impressed and the receptionist was absolutely lovely as well.
Dr Singh and Sam are the two best people you can see here, I always hope I end up with them. The office assistants are doing their best and cannot be held at fault for wait times, patients often forget that and take out their frustration on them. They don't control how many walk ins there are. I do have to say I dislike the set up of the waiting room chairs though. It is difficult to squeeze through the one row into the back row.
I am a new resident to St Catharines and a new patient at this clinic. I am so impressed and pleased with the care and concern I receive at each appointment. Mary at reception is so efficient and helpful and I have never had to wait more than 20 mins. Physicians Assistant Azmina is friendly and so knowledgeable. I feel at ease sharing personal health information with her and confident with her recommendations. I would highly recommend this practice.
If can avoid it, don’t go here. Wait times are always OVER an hour when there is only 3 people ahead of you. They tell you 10-15 minutes. I came here for a large burn on my leg and the female doctor gave me so much wrong information about how to take care of it and what kind of burn it was. I didn’t think anything she told me was correct so I go into my family doctor and he was shocked at what she had told me. She also did not seem to care very much. Mostly Everyone including receptionists are nice but not a well run clinic at all…….
I love this Walk-in Clinic, the location is convenient and the hours of operation are longer than others in the city - much needed and appreciated. The lovely young receptionist, Samantha, is so kind, patient, friendly and helpful. The Physicians assistant Azmina is calm, friendly and thorough. Only downside is that wait times can be a bit long sometimes, but it’s a popular location and they’re busy!
I took my 2 year old daughter last week with with a cold and they took her in. They prescribed no medication and suggested to come back of she is still not well. A week later we took her back because my significant other also had caught he cold. He did a rapid covid test that morning which came up negative, and they were both turned away and refused medical attention. Even though they though they had attended several other small children, they couldn't be bother to give us the time of day. Very unprofessional, will never return, and will advise everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs.
Dr. Khawar prescribed “Mirralax” for my severe colitis to alleviate diarrhea. I now have dysplasia and cancer. I inquired with the College of Physicians and Surgeons if Mirralax was a new procedural phylaxis. They replied that it was not a new or recognized treatment. Should I call that malpractice or weaponization? The Scott Street Medical Centre staff are friendly and like all Medcare offices is slightly unsanitary.
Iam absolutely livid and will be bringing this to the better business bureau and the media. Was denied medical attention for my son unless we could show a negative covid test! I dont think this is legal in Canada especially denying a child. You are operating as a health care worker and denying patients. Disgusting.
I have been going to the clinic for the past 6 years and service just Ok but when I met Azmina - Physician Assistant service rendered went to OK to Wow! She is very pleasant and very friendly. Hopefully she can stay on this location for a long time.
Really unpleasant experience. I went in with my daughter because she had a fever all night. The receptionist told me they unfortunately can't do anything without a negative covid test. For a 2 year old? There was absolutely no remorse towards a worried parent and a sick child. Was just given some virtual clinic number I can call. Very sad.
I hope the right person reads this. And may karma catch up to you while everyone is struggling and suffering during these times. Very sad the state of what health care has come down to for a child!
I also feel for some of the complaints I have read, I too walked in after suffering from a sore throat, also double vaccines, no other symptoms, and was refused treatment, never in my life for all I have done for this country, would I think I would be denied medical service, felt like my debit card had been declined, no solutions were provided, so I left with my tail between my legs, called Telehealth, who advised I never should have been refused service. Suggested I go to another clinic which I did, got the service I required and my canker is healing nicely, like another person wrote covid is not the only medical issue in the world, if you are afraid of getting sick I suggest you leave the medical field and find a safe job in bubble wrap.
We walked in with a bloody foot that needed to be stitched up. The Doc cleaned it and looked it over and then said she wouldn’t do it. Because of where it was located—between the big toe—she suggested we go to the hospital. Really? SMH. We went to the hospital and even they questioned why the WIC Doc wouldn’t do it. Four hours and three stitches later we were done and back home. Still don’t understand why the Doc at the WIC wouldn’t do the stitches. The only positive to our experience was we were in and out in 40 minutes—hence the one star. But if I had known she wouldnt do the stitches I would have went straight to the hospital instead. I wont return to the clinic. (In regards to their reply: that’s ridiculous! Since when does the size or condition of a cut determine whether a DOCTOR can help? Isn’t that what Doctors are trained to do? By their response, I can only conclude that the WIC Doc does not have the same training as an ER Doc. Or atleast this one didn’t. Good luck to you)
Ones you are a regular patient then you will wait longer and longer. Every time I visit here people are keep coming and going and I have to wait.always understaffed, absolutely no regard to social distancing or capacity limits as they allow their waiting room to fill to the max.just a terrible doctor's office. You're better off waiting in the ER then you are coming here. They don’t care because they are always packed. I need to find an another clinic I got enough from here.
Staff were polite, wait wasn't too long. However I only ever saw the physician assistant, they made me come in an extra time for no reason (already talked to him about same issue and they just needed to refer me elsewhere which they could have done without me there) and they sent me for bloodwork but forgot to give me the sheet with the test specific to my visit so I did extra bloodwork for nothing.
Very pleased with the care and speed with which I was seen for a nasty spider bite. The receptionist staff paid attention to my concern and to the others who were present as well, handling calls and tending to necessary tasks with the people who kept coming in the door. The doctor was quick to assess my issue and I was in and out within 30 minutes. Thank you for the quality care.
The doctor and physicians assistant here are amazing but they're receptionists are awful. I needed my prescription renewed and when I went to the pharmacy they said they had not heard from the clinic. I called the clinic and the receptionist blamed me for not picking up my phone as they has supposedly called me twice however my phone history showed no such thing.her tone was extremely rude and she literally just hung up on me.when I called back and asked if I could speak to the doctor as my prescription still needed to be renewed she said the doctor would call me that day and then hung up, again no good bye. I waited all day and the doctor did not call. I called back 15 minutes before they closed to ask why nobody called me and they voice-mailed me, but their inbox was full so I couldn't even leave a message.this is a real shame because as I said the doctors and physicians assistant are fantastic but their receptionists act so entitled and are extremely rude.you'd think being a receptionists they'd be decent at customer service but they have some serious attitude issues.
AMAZING SERVICES! I’m very happy with my lab experience. I’ve gone in a few times before and Samantha the lab girl is very efficient, she’s always very welcoming and helpful. When I get blood work done, I’m always in and out (way faster than life labs). I highly recommend!
Extremely disappointed with this clinic. I have gone here or had my pharmacy fax for prescription refills multiple times, and have had no issue before.
The refill request was faxed from my pharmacy to the clinic a week early. A few days later I called because the prescription was still not done. The lady I spoke to told me she had to book an appointment - which was fine - and the Dr.would call me (if even needed). I started to get calls from "Meira Care", a clinic I have never used or heard of. She failed to inform me that I would be speaking to a completely new Dr, from a totally different clinic.
*Meira Care's service is also terrible if you are wondering*
I called again this morning and the prescription was apparently faxed - to the wrong pharmacy, so I was told it would be faxed again. A few hours later and the pharmacy still does not have my prescription so I call back. The lady on the phone was very rude, and not accommodating whatsoever considering they have had a week for a simple refill and have made mistake after mistake on their end. She said the best she could do was book me an appointment for the next day - which was too late as I needed the medication today.
I was very patient and understanding throughout the week as I made multiple calls between the clinic and pharmacy. I totally understand how crazy everything is right now.but it is no excuse to treat your patients this way.
So. I've booked an online appointment with Appletree Medical Group.been great so far! Had an appointment in less than 30 minutes and the prescription will be faxed immediately to my pharmacy.
Awesome experience.my boyfriend went into this clinic for an eye issue and the doctor and receptionist were very concerned and helpful.never had such a good experience with a doctors office.definitely recommend going here!
My boyfriend had a serious issue which needed attention, he was very anxious about going anywhere due to the COVID-19 virus. We chose this clinic for the first time. It was the most welcoming experience. He came to the car with his paperwork, and was called twice to ensure he was doing well and still in need of help. The doctor was very concerned and caring, listening to his needs and took action accordingly. Both the front clerk and doctor were professional and understanding, making him feel comfortable in an anxious and personal situation. On top of that the wait time was minimal as both the ladies were knowledgeable and efficient, ensuring everyone got the help they need when they needed it. Thank you for keeping the community in good health.
We have never had any issues with the staff or any of the doctors there, with the exception of the time my wife went for my daughter's first shots.
Dr. Makendi was a very rude, full of attitude and has zero people skills. After waiting for over 45mim, instead of introducing himself he barged in and just said, "shots? ! ". Then proceeded to tell my wife to hold our 2 month old baby down and kept asking her to hold her down harder because she wasn't supposed to move at all! He then abruptly hands her some oral medicine, instructs her to give it to her at home and leaves.
He did not take measurements, weight or anything else that other doctors have done in the past with our other 3 children. Unfortunately Dr Makendi (could be misspelling his name) works there 3 times per week. The other 3 doctors seem great, but because of this experience we may be looking into moving our entire family elsewhere, so we don't have to constantly play the lottery with who our kids get seen by.
If this doctor leaves I will gladly change my review from 2 to 5 stars and keep taking my family of 6 to this clinic.
Extremely nice people, except I walked in before another patient and one of the secretary’s started talking to me and another patient walked and even though the first secretary was taking awhile to get my information the second secretary starting serving the next patient which resulted in the other patient going in first and me waiting 30+ minutes when I clearly checked the wait time prior to coming. All I ask is to please be fair and ensure you are doing your jobs correctly because I shouldn’t have to face the consequences of someone else’s mistakes.
Dr. Khawar prescribed “Mirralax” for my severe colitis. Weaponized care. The Scott Street Medical Centre staff is friendly and like all Medcare offices is slightly unsanitary.
I had a great experience with this clinic, and the doctor's assistant who saw to me. He asked me some great questions that I'd never been asked by a doctor in a clinic before, and helped me connect the dots to some other health issues I'd been experiencing. That level of care and attention is amazing!
Pretty good. Receptionists are very nice however it just wastes a person's time when they give you a script for 10 pills and no repeats offered. I am unable to go every single week. Talk about wasting health care costs. They bare some of the brunt of that.
Today was my 3rd time at this medical office and great customer service from the receptionist and quick service by the medical practitioner working today. Look forward to using this clinic for future concerns.
Im sorry but when it comes to positions with Medcare, your likely not landing the ideal job. Always HIRING but never truly filling position. Then when all said and done, you signed employment contract and trained for 4 hours they never give you another shift or return a call. Who does that!
I just came home from this clinic, the receptionist and doctor Azmina Atif were incredibly quick and super kind. I was literally in and out in under an hour. She made sure to ask a lot of questions and get the whole story, and was very prompt and informative about the prescription, addressing all of my concerns about reactions regarding my current medications. 10/10 would recommend. Will definitely be making an appearance again if I have any other concerns. Thank you!
Extremely polite receptionist. Hard worker and had all my questions answered confidently. The Clinic has been renovated and was much needed. Feels very fresh and more organized. Happy to have come back to this clinic and very impressed.
Brought my 13 month old son in with low energy, cough, low appetite and saw the Physician Assistant Dr. Bag. He checked my son's oxygen level which was 91 (healthy levels are between 96 and 100) diagnosed him with an ear infection and croup. Dr. Bag prescribed an antibiotic and steroid medication. The next day my son was looking worse so we took him to the emergency room at NHS. They said he should have been sent to hospital directly from the walk in as soon as the doctor saw that his oxygen level was below 96! My son did not have croup - he had Respiratory syncytial virus which caused a case of bronchitis. I trusted Dr. Bag to know what signs to look for and provide guidance but instead it prolonged my son from getting the proper care he needed! I will not go back to this location again.
My family doctor called here to ensure they had a specific vaccination (TDAP) for me to get. They said they had it. I show up here and doctor tried to give me an incorrect vaccination (TD). When corrected she stated that the other is unsafe for pregnancy. I told her and showed her that both Niagara Public Health and Canadian Health Department approves and recommends that all pregnant women get it.
I was then told that they don't have this vaccine.
I was here for an hour.and left without the vaccination.
Doctor needs to go back to school and brush up on her immunizations. Receptionist was super nice the doctor was ignorant and rude.
This location is my go to for walk in clinics- a very clean, friendly environment. I have seen Dr. Khawar on multiple occasions and always have a great experience with her. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and kindly answers any questions I have. Highly recommend for walk in needs!
My first experience here was actually good. However, tried to come for walk in at 7: 00pm (says they’re open until 8pm) and was told they were at capacity. If you aren’t taking patients until 8, change your hours this was extremely inconvenient.
I am so grateful for this clinic! My son has been suffering from an itchy rash for weeks. He has been misdiagnosed of eczema while we visited family out west. When we came home I had the gut feeling to get a second opinion. We saw Azmina. She took her time to carefully look through his rash and diagnosed him with Scabies! She prescribed the whole family the permethrin cream and it's already looking so much better! Azmina you are an amazing health professional!
Amazing service at this clinic. We had an emergency situation with our daughter having a long piece of glass stuck in her finger. The receptionist was beyond helpful and made sure the physician assistant would be willing to remove the glass before making us wait with our crying little girl. The doctor came out to the waiting room to assess the situation quickly and treated us promptly. She was so competent and kind. She has amazing bedside manner, perfect for children. We had stopped at another nearby clinic first where the receptionist was not even willing to ask the doctor if this situation could be treated there and she was going to make us wait an hour to possibly be told to go to the ER.
Clinic is nicely renovated and clean. I was treated well especially Samantha at the front is very friendly, always genuine and helpful. I leave with a smile at every visit. That clinic is so much better now
I rate the clinic a 4/5. Clean, tidy, organized and well kept. Staff are approachable and pleasant. Provider very educated and polite. I am a new patient and look forward to staying longer term. Thank you.
I went here and I had an amazing experience with Azmina (the physician assistant) here at the clinic. She was so accommodating, caring and positive. I would reccomend her over and over again, as my experience was just so exceptional. I am so lucky to have her medical expertise:) :)
Useless place. What is the point of having hours, if you Close when you want. 40 mins before closing and the “doctor” is going on break before you close. Pathetic.
Let me add: the wait time was 0 minutes, there was no one in the waiting room, and no signs of anyone in the back rooms as the “doctor” was standing in the doorway to the reception area “taking a break”.
If you don’t want to see patients until 8PM then change your hours.
