Scotty's Corner Diner

Keep trying to give this place a chance but the all-day breakfast came with cold eggs and cold beans. The home fries and English muffin were good. Too bad. They offered to remake it which was nice but I felt queasy from the cold eggs. I think the cook could have paid more attention to the meal and made sure it was all hot.

Today was my first time at Scotty's. I was there with my daughter. She had the Veggie Omelet and I had the Classic Breakfast. We both thought the food was great. Our server was excellent.topping up our drinks every time before they ran out. This is a small, busy diner. Staff were friendly. I will definitely be returning.

Cozy little restaurant tucked into the corner of this mall. Super friendly staff and quick service.

Possibly the worst eggs Benedict I've ever had.the holendaise sauce was like brown and clumpy.

First time at this dinner. We walked in there were quite a few people inside the restaurant, we sat down, good 5-7 minutes after we offered a drink, they came a took our order (Judy) was our server. She was ok, attentive and good customer service.
We ordered the classics breakfast with soft over easy egg.another friend ordered a Egg Benedict, pancake.
With my breakfast I ordered over easy egg, the came Well done and cold. So I told our server Judy if she could give me another one, Which she did. The sausage has after taste I thought, toast was very light and under done, so I ask my friend how was his sausage and he says the same. Any way we ate them.
The place needs a good clean up in my observation! Floors doesn’t look like it’s been clean for a while as you can see them in the pictures.

The Reason I gave them 3* was the cleanliness, underdone toast and after taste sausage. (maybe old)
But I will recommend this Diner.

First time customer. I saw some photos of the fries from other reviews and I was very interested to give the poutine a try.

In short, it was fantastic. Plentiful cheese curds, very fresh and lots of cheese pulls all over the place. The fries were also superb. Very crispy and freshly cut. No frozen fries here! There is some room for improvement, though.

For me, the big low point is the small portion and the price. $12 for a classic poutine is a bit up there, with no options for a large size. I would suggest to make this your small size and lower the price to $10, and then have a large size for $13.

The second issue is more of a personal preference, but the gravy is the weak point of this poutine. Clearly beef stock, it's akin to gravy for roast beef. Definitely not the kind of gravy I like to have on my traditional poutines. I kept thinking there was something about the poutine that was holding it back from greatness, and it was definitely the gravy. If there was a chicken stock gravy option, this would be dynamite.

So large poutine, slightly lowered prices, and chicken stock gravy, and then this poutine is a home run.

As is, I think people should give this poutine a try, it's very good! I'd like to try it again if any of the aforementioned changes are made.

I’ve gone to this Diner twice and both times I’ve went the service has been terrible and I thought maybe the first time was just a bad time and thought because of the ratings I’d try again. Items are forgotten, my table being forgotten about, charged for the wrong items. They don’t have enough servers, each time I went it was only 1 person handling the whole diner, I’d have to chase down the server to get a coffee refill or get my drinks that where forgotten. Had a drink forgotten until I was done my food and given my bill. Food is decent though.

Attempted to order on skip but the resturaunt never confirmed the order and was not answering skip so my order was cancelled which I now have to wait 10 business days for my refund as per app policy. First attempt to try this place and I won't make a second

I had not so pleasant experience.
I ordred spicy chicken sandwich. The bun came almost burnt you can smell the burn. The chicken was overly cooked and not fresh, the sandwich was not spicy at all and had no taste. My sweet potato came nicely cut and that's the only good thing I can say about it. Some were cooked and some were half raw. Service was Okay. I didn't enjoy the experience nor the food.

Do I go back again? I don't think so.

Do I recommend it? I'm not so sure.

Great family restaurant. Service is awsome. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was great. Highly recommend trying it. Definitely family feeling. Great prices. Must try. Located in bells corners

Found our new favourite locally owned diner! Went for a late brunch and the food was amazing. So fast, honestly I was shocked, and totally fresh even though it wasn’t during regular breakfast hours. Our server was lovely and it had a nice quiet atmosphere. A hidden gem for sure!

Place can do with a little make over but.let me tell you the food is incredible, nice staff and scotty is a genuinely nice guy, he did a bbq stand at a golf tournament last year which the chicken burgers were a huge hit.

Decent food, staff were friendly and it wasn't too busy for the late lunch hour. I will be heading back as the prices were also reasonable.

I am hypoglycemic and find that the amount of protein in a typical breakfast is just the thing to keep me in the ideal "zone".
I like the option of having baked beans instead of home fries. And at Scotty's I can and do.

It was busy the entire time we were there and it was easy to see why. The staff were friendly, the food was good and it is great value for the affordable prices! Even though they were busy our food came quickly, our server was attentive and the portion size was perfect. Highly recommend this west end gem

I've never seen a diner so well decorated for xmas. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was good. I feel like they could cook their hash browns a lot more but besides that I can't find any complaints

Top notch customer service. We're a weekly/bi-weekly customer of Scotty's and the food is always hot and fresh, with great portions and great care to any additional notes on the order.

Had an issue with my recent order (Skip the dishes fault, not Scotty's) and both Jody and Scotty went above and beyond to try and remedy the issue. They care about their customers and it shows. Thanks again Scotty's!
