Second Cup Café

Burned flavored coffee in my latte. Will not be supporting this establishment. My wife's London fog was good. Don't know why they thought serving sub par latte at approx $6 was acceptable.

This lady with the long nails and lots of make up (sorry I don't know the name) on Friday Sep 29th 330pm. Well, you couldn't be more impolite and rude if you tried to. My wife and I were really appalled by her attitude. Both coffees went straight to garbage, where they belonged as they tasted burnt. Last time as this location. Not the first time this lady comes as rude.

Great selection of drinks and friendly service. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Recently, I also read a review from a poster named Rawan who totally bashed Second Cup and the owner Anu. My mom witnessed this interaction as she was there at the same time Rawan was. Their might have been a fly in the restaurant, but they were certainly not all over the cake display. Rawan said that her London fog was disgusting. However, Anu offered to remake it and asked her specifically what she wanted in it and when asked if she wanted pumps of vanilla syrup, which usually comes with it, Rawan said no that it was the likely cause of what ruined her drink the first time. Rawan took the remade drink and was drinking it, and took it with her. To add a note, Anu at all times was respectful, polite, and apologetic. Rawan on the other hand, was rude and verbally aggressive, she wrote a negative review right then and loudly stated that was she was never coming back. Personally, my mom and I have been to both Anu's second cups, almost daily and have never experienced anything but attentive service, excellent products, and if there is a case of a drink not being made properly by accident, they quickly remedied the situation, and are always friendly, even when they are slammed with customers. I'm not trying to slam Rawan, however my mom felt it wasn't fair, that she gives such a negative review based on one interaction, which she became the aggressor. If second cup has a policy, then Anu has to abide by it, end of story.

Coffee was Ok, but store is very dirty. Theres garbage, lying around the outside patio, cigarette butts. The washroom seemed like it hadn't been washed in over a weeks time.

Always tidy, and welcoming. I enjoy coming here every Mon and Tue morning. The coffee surpasses that of competitors. Kudos to Sular for the exceptional service!

This place needs a major and thorough cleaning. The bathroom was filthy and even worse, the ice maker was dirty (you could see the fridge's internals when standing at the cash).

Based on previous reviews, this is a known issue and yet nothing's being done to rectify.

I would give it ZERO STAR the owner and the staff are unprofessional! Bugs are all over the cakes and muffins! Disgusting! The London fog that I got is absolutely disgusting they did not give me a refund because they said our policies don’t give refunds! Way unprofessional! Never coming back again

Stopped by this branch on Friday morning. Staff was very rude.
Found fly in the bakery shelf sitting on everything & when mentioned it to them, one of the staff said ; we CAN’T do anything about it.
On top of that, they didn’t bother labeling our drinks.

Always super clean, calm, and friendly place to visit. We love going her to get caught up with friends or to have a quiet space to read my favorite book.

I was disappointed overall. The coffee was mediocre at best and the dessert we had was very cheap and artificial in flavour even though I spent nearly 7$ per slice of cake. The place was also quite dirty, the tables and chairs weren't clean and there was drying spilt coffee on the table and floor nearby. I think the issue is mainly that this franchise was understaffed since there were only 2 employees and they really had their hands full with drive-through orders. Although the staff themselves were kind when they served us, it was obvious they couldn't keep up with all the work.

Went to buy a couple of sandwiches and she refuse to warm them up because they were closing in 30 minutes. Poor customer service.

This is good location, everybody leave you needs to clean the table and the floors this good for future business and healthy thank you very much for the service we will come back

Went thru the drive-thru at around 8: 30pm tonight. When I got to the window and went to pay for my drink with cash, the girl at the window looked at my cash and said, "oh sorry but we don't take cash". I laughed and said, I beg your pardon, you don't take cash? ! The young lady told me she closes the cash one hour before the store closes. I explained that that seems like a her problem, not a me problem. I then asked what would happen if I didn't have a card. She said she could only take exact change, WHICH BY THE WAY I HAD IN MY HAND THE WHOLE TIME! Nothing was said about the no cash thing when I ordered.

This was ridiculous and terrible customer service. Why would the cash drawer be counted and closed out 1 whole hour before closing? ! Seems like a very strange business practice to me. And if this is your standard practice
perhaps you should tell your customers before you accept their order. Now I can't help but wonder if my $7.05 ever made it into the cash register. I will NEVER go to this store again. I will go somewhere that is more willing to take my money. Lol

I was at the drive-thru this morning, May 9th at around 10 am. The barista was extremely condescending! I felt so unwelcomed and rushed to leave the drive thru although I was the only car in line. I felt so rushed that I ended up dropping one of my coffees all over my car. The barista held the bag of baked goods from the corner and handed it to me in disgust as if there is trash in that bag and not food. Won’t be returning unless absolutely necessary.

I love latte and that is my usually go to drink when out drinking coffee.
The place is honey with a artificial fire place and one sofa set in front of it. Many seating and a patio. Section outdoor for good weather. (although facing parking lot. Hopefully they will put some plants and flowers during summer to make it cozy and friendly to sit out).
Unfortunately their Latte was not so great.
SML: 1,2,3 shots of espresso in Latte……. Theirs are very weak…… definitely not 3 shot in a large …… $6.45 for a weak large latte…… not worth it. Need improvement.
But their app order has improve much. You can actually order with points too in the app! Love that.
But for me to go back again, they need to improve their brew…….

So I feel bad writing this as the drive through server was great and the coffee is good. I decided to stop in for an extra large cup of coffee after finding Tim's closed down the street. When I got to the drive through I was to find a mediumish cup of coffee and asked to choose a tip to pay on the drive payment system. This mediumish (by Tim's standards) coffee was already $3.41.it'll be a while again:)

Second time I order off Uber eats and they mess up my order and give me a ham sandwich, smoothie was also not good and received pie instead of cheesecake

Took advantage of the maple specials. The latte was so darn good. They put even more maple flavour than our local Second Cup. Amazing.

They have more to offer than just coffee. Their hot chocolate is the best, with a shot of raspberry, or hazelnut.

Good service, but absolutely filthy bathroom, complete turn off. Messy interior. The place needs some serious management TLC.

One star because my tea was undrinkable. I left the 3/4 full London Fog on the table. The ham sandwich (if you could call it that) had one slice of ham and hardly any cheese. They technically warmed it up but it was cold and disgusting. Would have been very helpful if they told me the tea bag was still in the cup when they gave it to me. Perhaps I would have been able to drink half of it. I was too upset to complain in person because I figured they wouldn't care. I wasn't in the mood to not be helped or cared about. This is why I rarely eat out cause places like this are so disappointing. Don't expect a real cup or even a paper plate for your sandwich because they had none. Go somewhere else but here is my advice. The cost of this terrible makes it that more disappointing.

Big fan of second cup. When my kids were little and I was a super tired mom, going to second cup in hazeldean mall was like my little getaway. Love their lattes (esp hazelnut) those are hand crafted to perfection. I don’t feel rushed at second cup as they don’t have drive-thru concept. I can sit and relax my latte. That’s how I like my coffee. This time I visited the hunt club location and was able to enjoy a latte and also a little nap for this tired mama was a bonus. I needed it badly on that day.
