Staff not very friendly or welcoming. I asked the lady at the counter how to redeem points and she didn't have a clue.

Extremely arrogant and hostile staff. Refused to let let me access their washroom until I made an order. Horrible, reckless and extremely cheap customer service. Don’t waste your time here.

The service seems to have
improved in comparison to the reviews I’ve read. Each time I’ve gone, it’s been positive from food quality to service. Give it a try.

The owner is impolite and pushy with his staff. Very uncomfortable with the whole store vibe. I will not return here

Horrible service. The lady made my drink wrong and would not redo it. I asked for extra foam, no foam. She didn’t even put the proper number of teabags so my tea latte was just pure milk. Moreover, when I was talking to her about, she didn’t even listen to me and was talking to someone else on the phone.

My wife came to see if they had any Christmas merchandise (ornaments, decorations, etc). We were rudely told no and repeatedly asked to buy coffee or food instead. Even as we were leaving, the person behind the bar tried to pressure to buy a coffee. Terrible attitude, you should avoid.

The staff are disgusting they don’t clean after their selves and they barely even wear gloves The food and the drinks are too high price for microwave food and syrup and water The food is more disgusting because they will just have it out for days and just warm it up and give it to you might as well just go to Tim Hortons

Try coffee first time here but it was not that good, the price is similar when I compare with Starbucks but the coffee quality is worth the price. Atmosphere and customer service is good here.

Looks nice in picture and site. I like some second cup cafe.
February 2022- My plan to have a meeting in this location so before that I went to check their coffee, pastries and environment, I am so glad i checked it out, was a disappointment. Their coffee and pastry taste bad, looks old, small of burned plastic was so strong, environment was dark and unorganized. I didn’t get the vibe.

Today I order a small black coffee and a breakfast sandwich. I was charged $8.25! The sandwich was horrible.looked like it was put in microwave for 3 minutes.all slimey and disgusting! 100% garbage quality here. And they charge way too much! Stay away.no wonder empty at lunch time

I love second cup coffee but this branch is sooo bad! She just serves you boiled back quality coffee and charges you for latte.horrible experience.

Great local Coffee shop. The owners are great. I've come a few times and they memorized my order. Not many places you can go to anymore and get that kind of treatment. Sad to see some negative reviews on here. Coffee is quality, food is delicious and the desserts are amazing with lots of varieties.

After the lady made me wait a while to redeem points for a free drink, while being very unwelcoming, she told me her machine wasn't working and was unable to give me it. Not my fault, it was a waste of my time and a drive to be treated to nothing. I'll take my business elsewhere.

UPDATE: I re-visited 3 more times (for a total of 4 visits), in the last 2 weeks; one in store takeaway, and two drive through takeout. The quality of the hot chocolate was impeccable, you could taste the cocoa and fresh local milk, which was well balanced and just the right temperature. I came to learn that this location is owned/managed by an older BIPOC couple and though I still found the husbands service a little abrupt (likely a difference of cross-cultural communication), the wife is warm, friendly and provides quick and efficient service.

As most Canadian businesses are struggling because of COVID-19; I wanted to be sure that my review was accurately reflecting the establishment and their service. Though the first visit left something to be desired, every subsequent visit has been, what one can expect from local mom/pop business owners, stressed during a major recession.

So in light of all of my new findings I have subsequently changed the rating to 4 stars from the initial 1 star (would have given them 3 but half ratings are not allowed). Please try them out for yourselves and enjoy a well made and truely Canadian beverage.

ORIGIONAL: Really was craving a second cup hot chocolate and I am all about supporting Canadian business every chance I get. Was utterly disappointed by the experience, particularly during COVID where everyone is being fiscally sound. The owner served me and though my drink was well made. The customer service was beyond sub par, and left something to be desired. I needed to use the facilities and he made me feel less than welcome and was extremly rude. Will not recommend, rather than put your money towards large franchises lets all support small, locally owned businesses within our communities. Lesson learned.

Mocha is my favorite but I do try different latte at times.their blueberry scone is my all time favorite.

Worst Second cup I have seen. I will not come back here. The old guy and a lady not sure if they are the owners are not friendly at all, they are rude, their coffee is cold, they look like they are not happy if you are just ordering coffee with nothing else and sit there. Will stop coming here. I hope they are reading this. I love supporting small businesses epecially with Covid19, but to support this one, I am not sure. A Coffee shop has to be a friendly environment. If you are not happy with what you do, close it down. Just a thought.

Only went thru the drive thru and wont go again.had some difficulty understanding the person on the the other end.was a simple coffee order. Looks like a nice building and I know they provide free Wi-Fi, But not going back.

Caucasian lady left this large piece of ice in my $5.00 beverage from the drive thru today. That wicked old lady is so heartless & fake smiling as she handed it over, won’t be back

Excellent atmosphere and host. Mango smoothie was perfection. Comfortable and varied seatong arrangements. Sitdown bar is nice feature

The place is nice and well decorated, with comfortable seating and many outlets. The snack and beverage options are plentiful and delicious, and the service was decent enough. It was however, a bit smoky because of the toasting and really loud because of the blender in there.

My daughter and her friend attended lunch here. Their bagel was moldy. They were told to come back the next day when the bagels would be fresh.hmm.when the store clerk was confronted by our children she treated them with disregard and very rudely. The store clerk took the bagel and threw it in the sink.then continued to serve the moldy bagels even after they complained. BEWARE.mould can cause some nasty things especially if you are allergic or have an immune disorder. My daughter and friend suffered from severe stomach upset and sore throats. Starbucks is right down the street.we will be going there now.they are friendly and very caring.too bad we were trying to support the little guy.you lost our business.please consider your health and well being before going there.

Management staff/ owner are very rude and unwelcoming - on several occasions. The drinks & food are decent but not worth supporting someone who doesn’t even smile at potential customers. Annoying & disappointing.

Strongly recommend going to another location.

My favourite Second Cup location in the whole chain. I live in Alberta now, where these cafes are few and far between. It's always wonderful to go back to my old neighbourhood to my favourite coffee shop, and be greeted by owners who treat you like you never left. The coffee is great, the food fresh, and the people watching never disappoints.

Fairly quiet and not that busy. Service is pretty good. Few issues with wifi so I'm not sure how it would be if the place was busier.

The coffee is decent. The milk was a bit flakey but not totally bad. Wifi is pretty slow and it seems to stop working after a while. This is the only Second Cup I've been to that uses flat lids for iced lattes. Makes it difficult to stir without taking off the lid. Not a bad place, just a little sub par for Second Cup standards.

I will say the coffee is good. Staff are unfriendly to customers. The windows have a film of dirt which blocks out the natural light. No comparison Whitby Second Cup location.

Didn't even walk through the door before the lady at the counter started berating my sister and I about the pizza we had.
(We weren't gonna stay anyways, just came to get drinks)

Visited this location for first time and will never go again. The man was so annoying and rude. Don't even deserve one star.

Good coffee but a dingy setting. Bathrooms are dark and not very clean at all and the whole place is worn with little attention to cleanliness and detail. And the obsession with bathroom use "ONLY FOR CUSTOMERS" is chintzy and ridiculous. Signs are everywhere and more prominent than anything coffee related (and not like this is downtown Toronto). The over the top bit: sign taped to wall in bathroom suggesting that if somehow you slipped by the wall of warnings before that point, you should at least buy a muffin now to cover the cost of any toiler paper you may have used. Seriously? Not the kind of place I want to hang out in.

WORST service, the staff are rude (including the owner) and they’re the slowest coffee place I’ve ever been to.

Great product. Terrible Management. Cake shouldnt taste like the fridge. Guess thats how it closes down

Fav coffee chain, pretty busy when I went. A lot of places to sit. One of few that have a drive thru.

Good coffee and pastries. Friendly staff. The store is much better run now that's it's managed by head office.
