When we needed to line up a week of doggy daycare last minute, Second Home was quick to respond and could accommodate our dates. They even invited us for a visit to tour the entire facility. Misty and her son, Tyler, were very personable and knowledgeable and the facility was perfect…spacious and cozy accommodations, lots of outdoor space with different fenced areas as well as an indoor arena for rainy days. Beds and blankets were provided. While we were away, we could check the daily Facebook photos of our dog enjoying himself with his new friends. We will definitely be back and are happy to recommend this facility to others!

Worst place. My dogs were hurt very badly. I do not recommend you sending your dogs here. It was guaranteed by my vet that my dogs were abused as they were in a very bad state, my dog had a bacterial infection, his lips turned a black pink, and his feet were swollen.

Had the worst experience here. Very Dangerous place. They traumatized my dogs, and they are putting fake reviews. I caught the employee writing her own review of the kennel. When I asked her she denied it. My dog was bleeding and was bitten by other dogs. The employees were very disrespectful and laughed when I told them this situation. Horrible place, a lawsuit must be filed. Do not bring your dogs here. Worst owner, worst employees.

I have two Goldens that stayed for a week. They had the time of their lives, swimming, running and playing. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Great service and supervision of the dogs. A+

We tried this new kennel out because our regular Kennel was being renovated.
I should have known when I went to show them our dogs vaccinations and were told they didn't need to see them. We brought both our yellow Labs. One that is 7 months old and the other 8 years old. We asked if they would be together and were told they would keep them together. They stayed for 2 nights and when my son went to pick them up they were covered head to toe in mud. And both were vomiting and had really bad diarrhea, I called to ask if they were given there special diet food that we supplied and was told "yes I think so" they were left in a field with what looked like at least another 30 dogs. It's been one week now since we picked them up and they are still poorly. Sneezing etc.
I wanted to cool down for a week before posting but I am still very upset at how our dogs were returned. I would never bring my dogs here again. The owner was not one bit surprised when I called to tell him and his response was they probably picked up a bacterial infection here. Very upsetting

Our babies always come home exhausted from playing in the fields and ponds. These folks take great care of your fur-kids!

Our 8 month old rottie comes here 5 days a week-it's her "daycare"
Cindy the owner is the best, and she actually really cares. I love to see the pictures she posts every night of all the dogs playing together! A+

I did not have a good experience with the owner. The owner refused to watch my dog again because she is fearful of people that she has never met. My dog wouldn't go near the owner the first day, as expected with a dog who has anxiety. Being in a new environment with new people and new dogs can be overwhelming. It is completely unreasonable to expect that a dog with anxiety will just let go of their anxiety in a matter of hours. My dog attends another daycare who often has new employees, and it usually takes only 2 separate visits with patient and knowledgeable staff in order for her to feel comfortable. The conclusion I have drawn is that this kennel, in fact, is not knowledgeable when it comes to a variety of dogs behaviors, and expects their customers to be the perfect cookie cutter version of a dog that they envision in their minds. I cannot get over the lack of compassion and patience from this facility. As I walked out of the facility, the owner said "what a sad way to live". What is that supposed to mean? Just because a dog is anxious (in a submissive way), doesn't mean they live a miserable life. Plus I would hate if that insinuated that we are the cause of this behavior. The day I picked up my dog as a puppy she has had this fear issue. She was even scared of grass and the outdoors. Had I followed this women's views, my dog would be living in a bubble. The best way to get a dog over a fear is to expose them to that same fear with a positive experience. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out. I have worked closely with my dog's breeder and many reputable trainers in the area, like Dave McMahon to help her overcome and deal with her anxiety. I really feel that the owner of this facility is extremely disrespectful and ignorant.

Best place ever to take your dogs! My rescue TWC is nervous with new people but Loves dogs, Cindy truly knows how to handle any dog and my dogs love spending time with her. I try to not let my emotions get in the way when I drop my dogs off to stay so they can all have a fun time playing and I just let cindy do what she does best and let my dogs, just be dogs. They are so happy and tired when we pick them up and when I ask if they were any trouble she just says that they were no trouble, they ate all of the meals and were extremely well behaved. I have taken them to other boarding kennels where they follow another trainers perspective on dog training and have been really disappointed with how they handled my dogs. Cindy just gets it and know exactly how to get any dog to bond with her.
