Shiho is a fabulous hair stylist. Booking was done online with a small deposit, the staff ensured this was noted upon final payment after the haircut and it was deducted from the amount. Loved how clean the salon was and how efficient and professional everyone was. Would definitely return and I highly recommend booking with Shiho:) she took the time to understand and respect what I wanted and gave her professional opinion based on her knowledge and expertise.

They gave me shampoo before and after my hair was cut, prepared towels for wiping my face (you can choose between warm or cold towels), and even lined my eyebrows!

There are several beauty salons in Toronto that have Japanese people, so I was worried about many things, but I'm really glad I came here!

Hair stylist barely looked at my reference photos, and as a result my hair looks nothing like I wanted. It was cut way too short, no layering like I asked, and there was no consultation done, no asking before doing anything throughout the entire cut. Only redeeming part was the shampoo and head massage. Very unsatisfied.

Go to hair place in Toronto, all the staff are amazing and have helped repair my extremely damaged bleached blonde hair as well as restore the color from blonde back to a permanent black:)

Never see a hair Solon require 25 bucks of deposit for appointment, and you must cancel it 48 hours before or you will lose the deposit.

I did my japanese hair straightening with Eko and it all came back the same way after a month. I paid 350 for what? I want my refund. Either that or more bad reviews. You pick.

Yuki is supppper good in cutting shorthair. I’m so satisfied with her. Just let her see the picture, she can cut the some style like the picture. And easy to take care in daily.

Kai was my stylist and did an amazing job on colouring my hairs. My previous hairs were very uneven from past box dyes and Kai helped me to get a very shiny, beautiful brown that was perfect for bridal looks.
They used to offer head massages so I was a bit disappointed to learn that they no longer offered that, especially since they are on the pricier end. But Kai's talent and service alone deserves 5 stars!

I love my new hair but it’s just not worth the price. I’ve been to Seefu Yorkville since day one and I loved the shoulder massages, the relaxing salon environment, and of course amazing hair services! The Spadina location is very crowded with stations close to each other. The furniture and design of the salon is not very premium, such as the bathroom and the chairs. I could see a lot of cleaning supplies in plain view. I also hated the view of the ceiling while getting my hair washed. The exposed pipe looked very dirty and I did not feel very relaxed. They’ve discontinued the shoulder massages and the scalp massage was so fast and not enough pressure. I’m very sad that the Yorkville location closed. This location is charging Yorkville prices without providing the same level of comfort and premium feeling.

A balayage without bleach is approx. $450 after tax and tip at this location. My hairstylist did a lovely job, but again, the salon environment does not match the price.

I paid 360 dollars for their Shiori treatment. It's meant to make it softer and easier to take care of, but after I washed my hair the next day, it just when back to what I was before. Basically paying almost $400 for nothing

Got bayalage ombré done by Yuki. It’s been hard to get into some salons with summer coming but I was able to book an apt the week I called. Yuki was so kind to me, helped me get a fork for my lunch lol. She’s an incredible hair stylist & I would definitely come again!

This is the same hair store where I coloured my hair four years ago. I mentioned I didn't want to bleach my hair and wanted to dye it a smoky grey colour. My hair is black, hip length, and very strong and shiny, and it has never been bleached. My hair turned an orange-yellow colour after they bleached it, and they continued to make color it. Af that, my hair was broken up to my shoulder, but the hairdresser didn't notify me. When a staff female came to make my dry hair together with him, she feigned to question him, I mean, why is it so horrible. But he told her to be quiet and not say anything. Because it was my first time doing my hair without cash, I paid $440 plus tax + tip by my card.
My hair got frizzy, damaged, and exceedingly fragile after the first wash. My hair was mushy and damaged in the back, and it had been sliced in half. My hair fell out in large clumps when I washed it. It was shattered, mushy, and seriously harmed. I never went back to this store after that.
I'm writing to convey my wish that if someone plans to get their hair done here, they should think twice about it, from the quality of the service to the pricing, which is not appropriate. When staff damage customers' hair and hide it, their abilities are exceedingly weak and dishonest. They just know how to take money and are incapable of taking care of customers’s themselves. The money will be lost that damaged hair.

Hands down to the staff of this salon. I am very happy with my haircut every time I go here. But what really impressed me is their kindness and understanding. I was driving from Waterloo and the traffic to Toronto was insane. I was late to my appointment but they made it work. I’m really thankful. Always worth the drive.

I absolutely love my hair after leaving the salon. My hairdresser is Jenny, she’s vast experience, friendly and humorous. She fixed my blond hair and black ash. I was worried before I met Jenny cause I cut, dyed and bleached my hair at home. I found it kinda hard to fix, but Jenny did it (Thank you).

Shiori fixed my yellow hair (diy bleach: p) and coloured it dark ash. My hair looks much better than before.

Seefu Spadina is fantastic! They took my unruly mop and made me chic. I highly recommend the care they took to cut, style, clean and shape my hair. I've been to all the big salons in TO and Seefu provides the best in creativity and service.

Jenny was absolutely awesome, she made sure we had enough time to do my hair at the consultation and didn't want to rush it - my hair was a huge undertaking and challenge since it was so long and half bleached with a lot of grow out - but she put an incredible amount of effort to get it to a place where it was the colour I wanted / with the least amount of damage possible. 10/10 recommend her!:)

I’ve tried a few stylists already and all are pleasant, but I especially like Eiko.

My first time here and I love the hairstyle I got! I went in for a haircut and bleach plus dye and my stylist, Yuki, was super thorough during the entire process.

I’ve always gone to the same salon for 15 years. But over the years it got increasingly difficult to book an appointment and I’d wait forever while there for my hair to finish. So long story short I found Seefu down the street from my home and thought I’d give them a try. The online booking process was easy and I got an appointment within 2 weeks! The price is actually double what I used to pay but i wanted to try anyways. I got Jenny L.and she’s very accommodating, had great chats with her like 2 old friends connecting lol. She cut my hair, gave her recommendation and coloured my hair purple. Cut and dye took total of only 3hrs where elsewhere I was used to sitting for at least 8hrs. The color was vibrant and my hair though bleached and coloured was very healthy looking still after. The scalp massage was a bonus! Though pricier than I’m used to, for the ease of booking, quality of service, minimal cut/dye time and welcoming environment, I’d come back!:)

I've been coming to Seefu Spadina for a while now. Jenny is amazing and the entire team is super friendly. They are adhering to all public health protocols for Covid-19 prevention so I feel perfectly comfortable getting my hair cut. Love the scalp massages. Def recommended.

I've been here twice, and have never had a better experience. The cut i got was exactly what I had described. Nothing is better than the head massage that you get during the hair wash. Lastly, my hair was curled and looked amazing at the end. I wish i could rate higher than 5 stars. Overall amazing value, kind staff and will be back!

Ask for HIRO WATANABE. The heavens blessed him with godly hands. I had long hair for 5 years and when it was time to cut it off I wanted to make sure I had someone experienced. I felt the price was fair for the level of craftsmanship. I showed him some pictures and I loved the overall result. He also washed my hair before and AFTER which I enjoyed, most places only wash your hair once.
Edit: I saw him again a second time for a haircut. Surprisingly, I was even more happy with my haircut this time around. Amazing hands I tell you.

Edit: Saw him for the third time in three months. During the second wash his assistant must have spent a good 10 minutes just washing my hair a really massaging my scalp. It was amazing, so therapeutic. Like, I mean she was REALLY putting pressure and massaging my head. They place such emphasis on great service. HIRO is my HERO. He has golden blonde hair so he looks like Super Saiyan Gohan. His hands are magical.

I do not normally write reviews, however I had a very negative experience with Seefu Hair Salon and feel compelled to share my experience:

I was new to Toronto and wanted to get my hair cut, highlighted and colored. I went to Seefu and spent around 4 and half hours and $500+ there, once the treatments were done the stylist offered to use a hot iron to style my hair further. I have always had extremely straight and healthy hair, but to my horror after washing my hair a few days after the treatment it was clear that my hair had been significantly damaged - not only was it much drier and more brittle than before, but a permanent curls had been introduced. This is something that had never happened to me before in any of the numerous times I had received similar treatments at other salons.

I went back to Seefu, and they immediately and fairly aggressively denied any responsibility despite the fact that the newly added and permanent curls in my hair perfectly matched those introduced by the hot iron as you can see in the attached photos, and even pushed back saying all faults were mine such as “new environmental factors”. This is a ridiculous excuse because I have lived in New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo before, any environmental changes have never caused this kind of issue before Seefu.

I then sought an examination and advice from another hair salon where I had been before (in another city), who after examining my hair agreed that it was clearly the treatments given that must have caused the problems. They said that the damage must be from mistakes made by Seefu. She applied treatments on 2 occasions with the aim of helping, which it did to a very small degree, but sadly also informed that there is no true fix that can be done and my choice boils down to either living with the damaged hair or cutting it all off (roughly two thirds of my long hair), which would then take 5 years to regrow.

The damage is well beyond what is normal for this treatment, and is clearly a result of Seefu’s errors. However I am most upset at their refusal to accept any responsibility.

I've been searching for a new hair salon and stumbled upon Seefu's page. I emailed for a hair consultation and received a call from them. Before my initial appointment at Seefu - Spadina, I chose Eiko as my stylist. I showed her similar ombre balayage photos, which was also the work of other staff in the salon. She asked me which tones I preferred and immediately knew what to do. On the day of my appointment, Eiko re-explained the procedures and ensured she achieved my desired look. It was an absolute pleasure to get my hair treated by Eiko. She is an amiable and knowledgeable stylist. She knows her craft very well, and her work ethic is commendable. I also observed staff cleaning and sanitizing the tools, chairs and hair-washing stations before and after use. The prices at Seefu are somewhat competitive than other places in downtown, yet indeed worth-it. I left my appointment with no disappointment and with an exceptional result.

This is my first time to get a hair cut at Seefu, and my hairdresser, Jenny, is really a pro! She went extra steps to give me hair style suggestions, and provides me very useful tips about hair care. She even helped to style my clip in bang! Will definitely come back again.

I've been to Seefu in Yorkville before quite some time ago, and it was always a great experience! I've been in desperate need of a haircut recently (as is the rest of the world by now), and decided to try Seefu at Spadina. Jenny my stylist was absolutely AMAZING! Oh my goodness, I cannot begin to thank you for my much needed haircut, a stylish bob, which has been unkempt and unsightly for 4 months now! Thanks to you, I'm much more 'presentable' and I feel human again!
In regard to COVID precautions, they have online bookings with the staff greeting you outside the door. They check your temperature and require face masks. The staff wear face shields during the whole process, and honestly I feel for you guys because it's so difficult to wear these things all day (speaking from experience).
The instruments, chairs, and hair washing stations were cleaned prior to use, and they limited the number of patrons in the salon.
Overall, the experience was amazing as it always is at Seefu, but I was particularly appreciate of today's visit given our current 'situation' and for the first time in a long time, I actually felt 'human'! Thank you Jenny and Seefu!

You get a head, neck and shoulder massage along with your haircut! I'm used to a free cup of tea or coffee along with my haircut, but this was another level! Pretty awesome for the price! I paid $55 for women's haircut.

Just got a haircut by Tony who is the style director. The cut was $55 dollars which was the most expensive so my expectations were definitely very high. I was skeptical in the beginning of the cut as I wasnt sure he understood what I was saying - in the end the idea of what’s good looking or not lies in the observer. But 10 mins into the cut I was quite impressed. His fading skills was definitely quite honed as he was the eldest there. I just walked in cuz I had some time to kill so I m even more impressed. Will definitely be back

I thought this was a Chinese hair saloon too! Also because they used Chinese characters in their store name and it's located in Chinatown. It turns out to be a Japanese store I paid a visit to the store today and wanted to thank Riku for his amazing work! I felt I haven't fully expressed my appreciation because I was quite shy. He understands what I need and his tastes are great! I felt in love with my hair after I got home. The price is reasonable as I paid 200 for haircut as well as colouring. Will consider to visit again and have recommended to my friends! Thank you Riku!

I really want to cry. First time here, I spent my 5 hours here with the most expensive stylist this afternoon. I did cut, coloring and perming.paid for the 1000 cad VIP card because otherwise I needed to spend 714 cad at one time with this mess. I cut my long hair shorter for dry and damaged hair, while my healthy hair got damaged after they did coloring and perming. Before Seefu, I did coloring and perming once a year, and every time I could walk out with very beautiful and smooth hair. The first photo is the work of Seefu after 5 hours, the second photo is the work from another hair salon (I didn’t blow it with special technique or use any curling irons). I am about to cry at this 2: 30 in the early morning, can’t fall asleep because I will take this mess into my graduation photo in a month. I punched my boyfriend today because he recommended Seefu to me. This taught me a lesson: how could I listen to a boy’s suggestion when I want to do a women’s hairstyle?

My hair is super difficult and so was the haircut I wanted and I couldn't be happier ️ so glad my friend recommended Seefu

This is truly an amazing place. I thought it is a Chinese hair salon at first because they used Chinese characters and are inside the China town. It turned out that the place is run by Japanese and the services are so typically Japanese. Kind, clean, efficient and highly skilled. I paid around 50 CAD for their service and I would say it is worth the price.

This is one of the best hair salons! I have never had a bad haircut from them. The service is really great. Tea and water is offered and you will get a head massage. However they take their time: expect to stay one hour for a men’s haircut (I don’t know how long for a woman, but longer). Expect confusion and delays on busy days and while booking an appointment. This explains the one missing star unfortunately. But once you are in the chair, the service, attention to detail and especially the result are stellar and I highly recommend the place.

Located in Toronto’s Chinatown, Seefu Hair is an upscale Japanese hair salon with chique and trendy decor. The staff are all bilingual and speak English, and they are polite and professional.

For a men’s cut, you can expect a wash, head massage, hot towel for your eyes, shoulder massage, your haircut, then a second final wash.

The stylists are excellent and knowledgeable with Asian hair, and I highly recommend Yuki or Kai.

The prices are very high for men’s cuts, probably right on the cusp of what I’m willing to pay. Still, if you’re looking for a consistent high quality cut for Asian hair I highly recommend this place.

I've been to Seefu Spadina and Yorkville and the service is always exceptional. Haircut always looks great and they really know how to work with asian hair. Great salon!

Tried this place out because I'm half Chinese and hoped they would know what to do with my thick Asian hair.
I booked online with Tony, and he did his best to copy a style I showed him on my phone.
He was very careful and polite, and did a decent job.

Unfortunately, I can be pretty picky about my hair and later in the day I realised the cut I got wasn't quite what I wanted.
I happened to still be in the area, so I went back to Seefu in the hopes that it could be adjusted.
Tony cut his break short to quickly get me into the chair, and make the adjustments I wanted (even additional ones I requested on the spot).
He remained good-natured the entire time, and charged me nothing extra for the adjustments.

This level of customer service alone will ensure I come here again.
What a great place! Definitely recommend it.

I went to Seefu for a mens perm and it was exactly what I got. All the staff is super friendly and the environment of the shop is super cozy. The experience that I had would definitely make me return in the future.

Yuki did a great job. I told her not to be afraid of cutting my long hair short and she did a great job. I love my new hair style! The atmosphere is clean and professional. Loved the hairwash and scalp and shoulder massage that is included! Thanks also for allowing my child to sit with me while waiting for me! I will be back in a few months. Glad to have this discovered this place. Thank you.

Eiko is the best. She is fast and detail oriented. She can recreate anything you show her.
This place uses the Japanese hair cutting method. So they do the basic cut with your hair dry to ensure the length is right then they wash your hair and add the layers and details after.

They also do a massage right after you come out of the hair washing station. The massages are just neck and shoulders but sometimes you get a really good one. It's hit or miss but more hits and otherwise. Plus a quick massage is always welcome!

I love it here and keep coming back. Good prices. Fantastic cuts that last long after your hair grows out. Great service.

Love the result! Get a hair cut and a digital perm here. Throughout the 4 hour hair services they served tea, snacks, a hair wash before hair cut and after perming, both with massage. And they give you a 10 minute shoulder massage which feels great. Yuki was my stylist and she is very attentive. Even when my hair was attached to the machine for the perm she came by every few minutes to check it. Love the result!
