Sempre Pizza Pasta

Ordered the grilled calamari via Uber eats it was undercooked and smelled and tasted so bad, got sick from it.

The beyond veggie burger was not a veggie burger it was a bean burger, it also tasted off and my mom got sick from it

Ordered penne Al a vodka which came with pancetta which also tasted off.overall food quality is horrible and the owner should be visited by health Canada

We hadn't been there in years, but were passing by and decided to order for takeout. Excellent Triple Crown, thin crust pizza, good tiramisu and reasonable prices in comparison with similar restaurants Will definitely be back soon.

Sempre has been around for over 2 decades and changed hands many times. I haven't been in the last decade but was was in the area and happened to pop in. I was delighted to see the interior the same which I adored, nostalgic and a lot of conversation pieces. The staff is friendly, price and portions are reasonable. Our meals were well worth it and hit the spot. There is a patio available weather permitting.

Ordered (by uber eats) your "Prosciutto Pere pizza", it was horrible. I've never heard a pizza smell so bad. Proshuto smelled very bad like a wet dog. Never again.

This restaurant is far from authentic Italian cousine. The pizza was worse then the Dr. Oetker from the supermarket. HORRIBLE.
We also had the fried Calamari which was absolutely disgusting.dry and over cooked and the texture was like cardboard. The owner needs to hire Italian cooks in order to deliver the taste of Italy as they advertise!

This was the best family Italian restraint I have ever been to in my life, the food was astounding and has an exquisite taste. The service was incredible as well, they re-filled up my water without me asking and they were quick to serve without rushing the meal. I had the chicken linguine and this was amazing and the blood orange beverage also.

While dining at Sempre tonight, we witnessed the manager being repeatedly rude and condescending to one of his server employees. The place might show well, but the people managing the place are not very kind when customers are not known to be watching. Find a place with nicer management.

Stumbled upon this location while walking past Royal York station. It's about a 3 minute walk from there.

Came in and was greeted by an excellent server. Was given a simple explanation on the special. I ended up getting the price fixed menu with a starter, and main, and a dessert.

The main was a spinach salad which I can definitely recommend. Well arranged and tasty, perfect before starting a main course.

For my main, I got the Penne Alla Vodka. Typically I steer away from Pancetta pasta but it wasn't too salty. It was well made and tasty.

The finisher was the tiramisu. The chocolate sauce covering the top of it was a nice little addition to a good meal.

The service was top notch and it's great to know that the area near the station has a great little restaurant to eat at. The space is decent enough for a good party of 4, so next time I'll bring some buddies along.

Only minor thing I can think of is I wish I had some type of carb to mop up the sauce at the end of my main, but it's on the minor side of things.

I can definitely recommend this location, give it a shot when you're in the area.

The staff were polite but the quality of the restaurant was not good.

The restaurant was literally empty, yet it took long before anyone took our order after we sat down. I had to wave to a waiter and say, "We're ready" for them to come to our table.

The calamari was over fried and too salty.

The lasagna my husband ordered was a kids' size lasagna hidden under a pile of cheese (think half the size of an adult palm covered in two cups of cheese). There was barely any noodles or meat. It seemed like it was all just cheese and tomato sauce, which did not even taste good.

I ate here a few years ago and it was delicious, unfortunately it has gone downhill.

Food is good when you finally get it. Service awful. Staff spent more time on their phones than attending to customers

Nice atmosphere and very good service. Everything was very delicious. You must try the pasta with shrimp. Highly recommend!

Okay pizza and nice people but the it smells like cigarette smoke. I don’t know if they had just smoked or lite it in the back. But it’s not nice to smoke cigarette

Food was ok. Had the seafood pasta.was clearly just frozen seafood.the squid was like rubber. I could've made something better at home.
Service.it was like the waitresses first night. Brutal.
She took our order & as we hand her the menus she walks away without taking the menus.
My friend asked for a tea.the waitress says "ok" - 5 mins later comes back to our table to ask, "what kind of tea would you like? "
I was embarrassed for them.

I can’t comment on the food… but we were just walking around for the Kingsway festival and my 6 year old really had to use the bathroom quickly. Place was empty (it was 4pm). Got the “paying customers only”… which I would understand if i had to use the bathroom…. But cmon…. He’s 6! Anyways… u lost a future customer…. On the bright side the fish and chips place few doors down was welcoming and did not care if we were paying or not and saw my son really needed to pee!

Food is fantastic, service is friendly. Can be loud when busy. Prices are reasonable. I go here often for the lasagna. So good!

It's tough to see great restaurants struggle during these dark times, so please go out and support your local favorites like Sempre! If you can, order directly by phone or in person so they can save more money than using online delivery apps.

Half a Star

Dropped by for dinner just before 6pm since we had to leave by 7pm for a show. We put in the order for appetizers, drinks and dinner dishes. The appetizer and drinks came and then the people around us (who arrived after us) began to get their food. So I asked where our food was. The server said: "somebody forgot to enter your order. We're having technical difficulties". So, "somebody"? I then pointed out that the appetizer and drinks came on time so why not the food? I only got silence from my question. I paid for the drinks and appetizer. No tip. We then left. I'll never go back and will tell all my friends the same thing.

This one breaks my heart. I have frequented Sempre Pizza since way- way back when I had my first big date in high school. Food was like at home then. I even brought my own mother to dinner sometimes!
So I would hate to see them go because now the sauce seems fresh out of a box. Pull your socks up.
We appreciate it's hard, but please don't compromise quality for cost as this will only disappoint folks. Invest and folks like me will invest in you.

It was my first time here, but our group of friends recommended it. The food was really good and the staff was really nice. I will probably return and recommend it.

The pastas are all excellent, unique sauce and ingredient combos. Rich flavors, quality ingredients, nice pasta. The pizza is AMAZING too, almost everything on this menu is very tasty, but the prices are a bit high.

Sempre Pizza Pasta is an absolute gem. I went for dinner and ordered the pasta bolognese, tiramisu, and a red wine Pinot noir. I have dined in many Italian restaurants and can say this is the best I have had. The ambiance, the food, the service, and the music all contributed to the total experience. This is not a chain, rather, it is a family owned business that clearly prides themselves on providing the best for their guests. Highly recommended.

Ordered from Skip. Got the burger with fries, and this may sound weird because it’s an Italian resto, but it was one of the best I’ve had in Etobicoke. Portion was pretty big as well.

I want to support local businesses but I ordered skip and their portions were so small and the pasta tasted old. Maybe I will try again one day but for now I have to give a 1 star.

We ate inside. It's the first time I have done that since March.
I was comfortable until I asked if they had sanitized the pen they gave me for filling out the contact tracing sheet. The waiter looked perplexed and then went to sanitize the pen.
Little misses like that can be big issues in the future.
The service and food though were excellent, as always. But I'm not sure I would go back inside anytime soon.

Unfortunately Sempre has changed ownership which was very apparent in our visit last night. The food servings are halved and not nearly as good likewise with the service. It took two requests to get the drinks we asked for and our friends received the wrong salads. It is sad as this was our go to restaurant for years.

Ordered calamari and came overcooked to the point that it was inedible. I spoke to the manager and said he cannot to anything about it due to it being ordered from Uber eats and not to mention the pasta is awful - terrible experience never again

Nice, cozy restaurant in the neighborhood. Their Ravioli is one of the best. It's a great place.

This is a wonderful, quaint Italian eatery. Came here for dinner, had a pizza. Service was very attentive and pleasant. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful in recommendations. Food quality was excellent and decor was nice. Will return for another dinner in the future.

The food they service during my last visit deserves a 5 star rating. We walked in 4 mins to closing and we were graciously welcomed in. Pair of us ordered their spinach salad which our server took upon herself to bring out split into 2 dishes. The pasta dishes (nicola and pesto) were absolutely delicious. Definitely going back to try the pizza

It's closer to Italian than most of Italian restaurants in Toronto.
You can tell that the Pomodoro Pasta is made of real tomatoes, and the Chicken salad was delicious. Prices are reasonable

Great food, waitresses laughed at my corney jokes, turtle cake was awesome, highly recommended.

I was here for a friend's birthday. Food was great but table service took forever to get started and it didn't seem that busy. The server was my main issue. Though she was friendly enough, she had this habit of comically rolling every "r" when she spoke and it was very obvious it wasn't natural. As an Italian, I found it just a bit insulting. I get this is an Italian restaurant but you don't have to be a damned caricature. I don't know if she was Italian or what, but if I had any advice at all, just speak normally please. It wasn't impressive and got extremely grating.

My favorite italian restaurant in the kingsway area by far. I go here so often the staff know me and know I always want the pizza special.

Very good service for regular Italian fare. Like the place because meals are consistently good without pressuring for drinks. Brought extra bread, pizza and pasta, very good. And reasonable and comfortable. Served our family of 11 graciously.

Very good food and very friendly staff. The atmosphere was relaxed and overall condition of restaurant is good. Would return or recommend to family and friends.

Love, love love this place! A staple of the Kingsway and a must try if your in the area. Clean, excellent food and amazing service!
