Staffs are so knowledgeable. They guidance and assist us to choose products. If you are looking for quality beauty products then Yorkdale Mall is the one of the best.

Usually i never really have a problem with sephora as i come often but this experience was so bad like teach your employees customer service?I was looking around a woman comes up to me and asks if i need any help, im like yes, i want to make a sephora account as i dont have one yet.she goes ya go to the front, she wasnt very being rude nor nice. Which is fine to me i dont really mind. When i really had a problem is when i went to the cashier to make an account (i forgot her name but i believe it started with a N and she was a white and possibly ginger/brunette). Oh my god like her service was just so unpleasant it made me rethink about ever wanting to sign up for anything again. I give her all my information and she says that i already have an account, which i say oh because i find that weird. She’s like ya you already have an account and your birthday is _ (i don’t remember what birthday she said) and just looked at me and the whole time was being super passive aggressive. Then she explains that i have points (reminder i do not have an account) im like oh okay can i use them? And she shows me my options and has the worst attitude and cant say anything nice or sweet.and then when we are done she turns away and doesn’t even give me a bag so im waiting if u could please get a bag because i don’t wanna carry the item.she doesn’t even say anything and just gives it. I know this doesn’t sound like a big deal but as a retail worker myself i found it so rude that she has no manners. I am just trying to think if a parent or someone else was treated with the service she gave me it would be very embarrassing. I’m not sure why but i had to wait for a bag and her coworkers also saw me, i’m not sure why no one could hand me a bag. Either way this was on Monday January 8th around 5-6. I understand everyone goes through bad days but so disappointed especially because i was very excited to make a account

I had an exceptional experience with Ashmeet! She helped me in skincare and makeup, combined with a personalized approach, made my visit truly enjoyable. My family and I went to Yorkdale Sephora yesterday in the afternoon and got accused of stealing when we really weren't. The employee was gossiping and had had other employees stand around us whispering, making us feel extremely uncomfortable. She then came up to us and told us to give back the item while speaking to us rudely. We proved her wrong that we did not steal, and she did not apologized. Instead, she continued to talk with an attitude. Manager did not say much about the situation.

I felt discriminated and targeted by her based on how we look because she was staring at us, whispering, laughing, smiling, similar to humiliating us with security. Honestly, this behaviour is disgusting, and Yorkdale Sephora needs to train their employees better.

I went into the store a couple of weeks ago looking to replace and upgrade a few of my makeup products. I was sent to Tisha to help me with my search. Although I do not know very much about makeup I felt very welcomed by Tisha who was patient with my last minute questions and scatterbrain. She led me all around the store and helped swatch products while being kindly perceptive to my answers and making tailored suggestions based on my hopes. I will definitely be back and I recommend Tisha to anyone especially if you are new to makeup and need a friend to guide you through the store!

If I could give this place no stars, I would. It's really a hit or miss but this location sucks. I've been here so many times out of convenience and my shopping experience has been awful. I've been harassed like 9/10 times, followed, employees want to argue with me, items out of stock, no testers, etc etc if you want to shop without the hassle, I really suggest another sephora.

I was nothing but nice and patient towards you. I noticed you were struggling to complete my transaction and I was as kind as possible and you still tried to make me feel like a burden and gave me attitude. I understand you may have felt embarrassed for completing the task slower but that doesn’t give you the right to be rude. I work in the food industry so if you think retail is bad you should give that a try! If I’m lucky to meet even one customer as nice as me in a shift its a good day.

I went to the mall with my friends and we went into the sephora and as soon as we entered there was a lady following us around the store, we were uncomfortable so we told an employee.when we were checking out an employee accused my friend of stealing and started grabbing her bag and her gift card.we left the store after purchasing a sephora favourites bag and later on opened it and the products werent full to the top and some were close to
empty.we returned back to the sephora to exchange and the lady that was following us before started again, and she was pointing at us and telling other workers about us.we later found out from an employee that that lady was an employee and she pretended to shop to catch stealers, but she was targetting us and we did not have a good experience.the lady that was following us was a short asian lady wearing red lipstick, and a black bob cut.the other lady that was pointing at us was a thin asian lady also wearing red lipstick with a black side part slightly curled.

Evandro was so helpful, I had a list of stuff I needed and he took the time to help me with each product on my list, even asked me my skin type and educated me on the best products. He asked me if I had a budget as well which I appreciated and also told me the price of the product before putting it in the basket. He was so helpful honestly and he was so efficient! I was out of the store within 15-20 mins and bought everything I needed. Thanks Evandro for the awesome service

My daughter loves this place, and because she is a member, she got a birthday gift on her birthday it wasn't anything crazy but very thoughtful, and purchase wasn't necessary.

Worst experience at Sephora. I was walking around, and I was deciding between two lip bombs, and then I saw that the lip balm in the other Color was in stock so I put the other two on the shelf and proceeded to go buy that one when it was almost my turn to pay, a Sephora employee takes me out of the line and makes me show them where I put back the product even though it was in my basket the entire time and I put it back so I don’t know what they were accusing me of but as a person with social anxiety, that made me never want to go And i went home to find out that they have not emailed me right receipt and the end did not give me a receipt in person and not give me my points from my account

Usually receive good, helpful, and warm energy here from the girls. But the cashier named Jamie has the ugliest personality ever. Description: blonde, asian maybe filipino. She is rude, nasty, and a bully. My first time returning something turned into a nightmare. Who hired her? She has 0 customer service. I complained to head office and I hope she was fired but they’ll prob ignore it. I am the last person to start something but having that much attitude is just unacceptable. I hope she doesn't treat other people like that. What a psycho. Maybe I remind her of the girl who stole her man or something bc i’m always sweet to customer service ppl because i’m one myself but I left with a bad taste in my mouth and I will never return to this location.

If I could give 0 stars, I will do it. HORRIBLE SERVICE is the least that this store deserves. I have been at this location several times and always think that the service could be a lot better, but my experience today was the worst. I came to pick an online order up and when I approached the cashier she showed no interest and was super rude, her eyes said more that her mouth! She went to get my order and then I told her that I wanted to exchange it because I found the same product that purchased + a mini size (kit) for the same price that I paid. Then she said that she could not do it because the thunderstorm that happened today, they were having issues with the system. I asked her if I could speak with a manager or supervisor because it was hard for me to come back in another time and she rolled up her eyes and gave me her back to speak with a person that was behind her. That second person came to the counter, her name was ALI (I don't know the spelling of her name) and said right away that she could not it, I tried to explain her the situation but she was even worst that the cashier, so I told me that it was not her fault. I worked in retail and I know that you never tell a customer that is not your fault when the business that you work for is having an issue. I don't know what kind of customer training this employees have but after listening the "manager" I understood why the cashier was that bad! The problem is not that they could not my exchange, the problem is the attitude that they give customers, specially when you are not able to provide good customer service because you are having an issue.

I asked the staff to help me look for a product (the Fenty Beauty contour stick) at the back because the colour I want is empty on the shelf. Without checking anything, she told me straight up that Fenty discontinued the product line and they do not carry the contour stick anywhere anymore. (I later checked that this product is in stock in all locations including Yorkdale). Ridiculous lie and terrible attitude.

PHENOMENAL customer service! A wonderful employee at this location, named Joanne Covoeja (sorry it might be spelt wrong) gave me the perfect match for my foundation shade! She has a true gift at picking shades. I was honestly skeptical at first, but WOW this is my perfect match! I personably have not been able to match my foundation as well as she has!

The best Sephora in Toronto (IMO) for one major reason: Diversity of staff. I can always find a friendly associate who looks like me to suggest the right shade of foundation or appropriate skincare. This location is incredibly clean, well stocked and has outgoing & pleasant front desk associates.

Their staff at this location are amazing; very friendly and welcoming individuals that handle their jobs with pride! I love coming here, as I always get recommendations on how to better my skin routine, or what eyeliners are best that don’t rub off easy or are dry.

Hate shopping on Saturdays as it's always so busy but the great staff at Sephora made it super simple and got me in and out of there quickly, efficiently and with a 2 for 1 deal, lots of samples and a free makeup bag to boot!

Yes, I know I lucked out and got a special promotion but with so many products from which to choose and tons of shoppers milling around, just goes to show that some stores value customer service and make you feel supported and special even on a relatively moderate purchase. Thanks Sephora!

This feedback is for Sephora, Yorkdale Shopping Mall. (Toronto, ON). I was looking for two products, one was lipstick and other was eye liner for my mom. For the eye liner, it was easy to select and buy but for lipstick it was not an easy spoon to feed.

I got assistance from Andria (she works in Saint Laurent department. I have never been through a service and explanation like the way she did to me. She is so nice and dedicated towards customer.

If I was the manager of that store, I would definitely give her best gift and acknowledge her work.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Every time when I come to Sephora at Yorkdale I get horrible experience. Customer assistants, with a few exceptions, are rude and not helpful at all. Many times I've asked for help and they would say yes and then just leave and ignore me. Yesterday, assistants didn't even let me use the napkins to remove lipstick from my hand, and were super rude, just sitting and chatting with each other ignoring me and my mom, while we really needed help. At the end, we just decided screw this and went to Holt Renfrew were we got excellent service and bought all makeup and skincare we needed. Why does this always happen at yorkdale location? This is so sad as Sephora is considered luxurious cosmetics store. Those customer assistants are just paid for nothing.

Don’t usually stop by Yorkdale mall but I had to rush in for last minute items. The staff was super friendly and I was greeted and was offered assistance on four different occasions, which might be to much for some other customers but I really appreciated the extra help. Thank you team Yorkdale!

With covid its made it difficult to visit the store, there's consistently a long line up, but now that the capacity has increased I finally was able to just walk in and visit. Great assortment of different products available and pretty larg store. Just made it difficult to check out because the line was so long. I did visit on the weekend mid day, but always find this location to be very busy.

I visited with my sister we were having fun checking pallets and deciding on what pallet to get, I was caught applying some highlighter then a staff told me I’m not supposed to be doing that, and I said ok (I was aware not applying twice on my cheekbone and prior to that I had sanitized my hands) anyway I knew she was right. I asked her if she could help me with something, she replied SERIOUSLY the best eyelash curlers are over there as she instead of giving me directions she grabbed me from my shoulders and shook me 180 degrees and pointed me to where the product was. I felt she disregarded my personal space and also broke all regulations on social distancing. I left the store feeling very disrespected and upset. A surprise because this was a first at Sephora.

I usually avoid going into this store to buy makeup because customer service is hit or miss. But sometimes you just have to go in to try out a product. Sales staff can often be dismissive and disinterested in helping you. There clearly is some division of duties among them but the way they handle you feels like them passing the buck. Perhaps they're busy or short-staffed. Since I visit less frequently I find the store arranged differently each time and it takes a good amount of wandering before I find what I need. This is why I prefer shopping online.

The workers were exceptionally snooty, but simultaneously ignorant of their own product. Both a random employee AND the skincare specialist thought Sephora was just not carrying Clarisonic anymore (the company is shutting down).

When I connected with my girlfriend again, she mentioned that her experience was quite similar.

I am lost in all makeup stores (shouldn't have even gone in). But if I ever wanted help picking out something for my girlfriend, I wouldn't go to Sephora to get it based on my experience there.

Amazing service, super helpful and friendly staff. This store is night and day to Vaughan Mills. The staff were attentive and didn't act as if anything we asked was a burden to them which is the case at some other stores.

I had SUCH an unpleasant experience at this Sephora Yorkdale. I notified the mall security that I have a medical condition and they kindly let me in without issues… I was not discriminated or looked down until I got into Sephora. The staff at the entrance let me in after I explained my condition and while I was going to get my things to purchase I hear an employee SCREAMING out loud to me: “GO GET A MASK OR GET OUT OF MY STORE! ” This is completely embarrassing and I felt so segregated. I asked a staff member who she was and she is with a different company within Sephora called Benefit. But I do not know how to complain to them about her unlawful behaviour. I did notify the corporate office of Sephora, I hope they can do something regarding this.

Back in India I am discriminated against the shade of my darker complexion and here I am discriminated against not wearing a mask because of my medical disability? How dare you! I was outraged that I just left. I am glad I did not bring my youngest daughter to experience this.

I DO NOT recommend this store to anyone. They do not know the Ontario Human Rights Code and the by-law of exemption… the staff all need to be trained properly on the laws of every person living in Canada. I feel like I came to Canada to escape discrimination and it is happening right under our feet.

I recently visited this location. Their line up instructions were not very clear and I ended up lining up in the wrong spot which was right next to the designated spot. There was no one else in line at that point. When the cashier called for the next person, someone else just joined the line. As I walked forward, the cashier insisted the other customer was first and yelled at me out loud. Despite the other customer and I clarifying I was in line first, she continued to be very rude about it and never apologized. This was a terrible experience, especially given the already stressful covid situation. I do not recommend this location. I have never had this problem at other Sephora locations.

I had the most wonderful experience today with Ariel at the Benefit Brow Bar in Sephora Yorkdale! Ariel was so meticulous and exacting. She did an exceptional job tinting, shaping, and defining my brows. My brows look FABULOUS and I am thrilled. I will definitely book with Ariel the next time I need my brows tamed. You should too! Thanks Ariel, you are terrific!

Employees aren't helpful with finding products, they just point to a vague area. I also didn't know you need to bring the product to the employee for a sample (hasn't happened to me before), so its rude to just say where it is without context. I would prefer not to purchase a full product Im testing so I don't need to return it if its not my shade or formula. Thats why they allow samples right? But it seems like they never have the small cases.

If you need help with a product don’t bother coming here. I’m a regular Sephora customer and this is the absolute worst location for customer service. The first person I asked for help told me she couldn’t help me because she was supervising a class and that she would call someone for me. She proceeded to stand there doing nothing for the next few minutes (didn’t even call anyone else) before I decided to look for help elsewhere. The next person I asked just looked at me before taking off in the opposite direction saying I’d need to find someone else. The next 2 people I asked said they also couldn’t help and directed me to the counter in front of the store where I initially asked for help. Left empty handed after 30 minutes of running around the store.

The store manager by name Alex was very unhelpful if not say robotic, he didnt show any signs of care. I bought a product online and never used it and it was pass few days so they gabe me a store credit however unfortunately I have certain heviccertain health conditions and I cant shp in store, and I asked for consideration for it but he wwas almost like a robot not a person. I will never shop in Sephora in this store ever again

Terrible customer service.
I was at the Sephora store at Yorkdale Mall at approximately 10: 00am this morning looking for some help walking around finally someone approached me and asked me if I needed any help.
As I explained to the attendant what I needed she said our make up artist will be here in 5 minutes.
I waited 20 minutes no one showed up I walked out of the store pretty upset.
Worse customer service ever.

It took me a long time to wait in the line for the cashier and they told me the price tag "may be' wrong and need investigation. So we couldn't buy the product and it was a waste of our time. They promised they would investigate why the price was wrong and call us but they never called back. Really bad experience.

Shout out to Melissa the makeup artist! She was so amazingly helpful, kind, funny, talented. I don't know the first thing about makeup and she was very patient and pragmatic with her approach to teaching me. She was a shining star there and you'd be doing yourself a favour by asking for her help! Thank you again, Melissa!

My wife loves the place. Not too surprising there. This place is like Disney Land for women. As for a guy like me. I check out the mens cologne section over there every now and then.and Dab on some high end cologne on myself. It's a good feeling what can I say? ‍️

Once upon a time I really didn't like the overwhelming smell of the fragrances here but it seems to be better in parts of the store. They have some very good products that you can't find elsewhere. There is often a line and the price can be high for cosmetics but it's a fun place to look around and treat yourself.

My friend was treated so poorly by an associate name Molly. She was tapped on the leg and rudely told to move. She should be reprimanded for violation of a customers personal space and rude tyrant behaviour. Totally unacceptable and NOT ok. I always have to seek out help when sephora employees are everywhere avoiding eye contact. People are lacking decent human interaction and forget they work in the service industry. Molly made my friend feel violated and harassed and management did NOTHING. Now she never wants to step into Sephora again and feels very uncomfortable.

All your makeup needs are met here. An abundance of skincare line, hair accessories etc. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable.
