Racist employee Jay decided to make a racist remark to me and my parents because I came to the office right before closing. As I approached the desk he said how may I help you, once I told him what I was there for he sighed out loud and said “you people”. At a service Canada! Unbelievable unacceptable unprofessional. I couldn’t believe it. I said excuse me so quick and he said we’re almost closed. I told him if I didn’t make it in time the receptionist would have refused me at the door. He then proceeded to do his job in a very mean manner. People have jobs they can’t afford to take days off to come spend 10 minutes at a service Canada. My concern is how does he have the guts to say something like that and how many people has he gotten away with saying it to. Hope there’s something that can be done about this because it’s just not right.

This is the 2nd time I have been here for the passport application. Everything was super quick. Staff is very helpful. I had bit of issue with my certificate. Jay helped me out to get sorted and made sure that I complete my application.

The workers here are on strike and didn't accept the application for my son's passport as according to them it's not essential. His passport is getting expired how is it non essential? Pls check before going there. I just spent 1 hr for nothing and took the day off as well. What a waste.

Arrived at opening at 8: 30am with 5 people ahead in line. We were served quickly and left within 30 mins. Great and friendly service.

Got there at 3: 00 on a Tuesday afternoon and I was done in a half an hour. I wasn’t in a rush so the 4-5 weeks worked out for me, and more convenient than standing in a long line at the Whitby location

5 stars are even less to appreciate Riyaz and this center, 3 passport applications including one infants passport took around 22 minutes to finish with no line-up whatsoever! Riyaz served us with smile, joke, proper care and extremely professionally. However it all depends, last night was a snowstorm and cleaning up snow was a big deal, we were even late. But the service we got is beyond 5 stars, especially with a 3.5months old. Highly recommended!

I went to this passport office to submit my renewal only to find out that I had to go to the Whitby office based on my timeline. The person who attended to me, Fazahat, didn't stop at telling me to go to another location.he took the time to go over my application to ensure that I filled it out correctly.he also checked that my photos were appropriate.

It was a pleasure being served and I wanted to show my appreciation.

I came near closing time and the staff was super friendly to process my request. Very good service.

Arrived at 7: 45 a.m. To a short line. Services opened at 8: 30 and I waited 30 minutes to be served. Customer service person was very pleasant to deal with and helpful. I know sometimes these things can take time but I truly believe they're doing the best they can. Just make sure you have all your documentation and you read the instructions carefully.

Great staff includes the security as well they were very polite and helpful. The service here was very professional and fast it's my second visit to this location and I'm very please and impressed with the service. Good job and thank you

We arrived before the opening at 0830 and the wait time was around 10-15mins when I accompanied my mother on July 21,2022 to apply for her passport at this location and it went smoothly! This Service Canada office is able to accept applications for passports that are not urgent for travel. Their service is great and especially thank you to Evelyn for all her work and helping us. The passport will be sent by mail around October and they provided information who to contact if not received by then and any other information needed for follow up. Thankful that this office is here for us Ajax residents

Very poor costumer service. The security guard treat people as trash. They are often closed before their closing time. Usual excuse is they reached the capacity if you look inside it’s empty. They have many windows to serve costumers but it’s joke only two working and around 3.30 PM their system starts working slow and they tell people to come other day to wait again in line. No proper signs for serving capacity. Arrogant security staff member. And got treated like, you have made mistake to come this location and now they are punishing you.

I was there today to apply for passport for my son. There was barely any lineup. I got there around 11am and was out of there by 12: 15pm. Staff was very nice and helpful.

They did say that it will take 9 weeks to get the passport. I hope they get it done sooner. But over all everyone was super nice, including the 3 the security guard, girl at the registration and the lovely woman that filed my application. Really appreciate their fast service.

Got here at 745 am with 5 or so people infront of me. Very friendly staff, smooth process given you bring in all your documents. Do not come here if you need your passport In 2 weeks you will need to go to a passport office. This location is 9 week mail out maximum.

I booked an appointment online for my passport service at 9: 00 am today, walked in at 8: 50 and got everything done within 30 minutes. It was fast and smooth; the commissionaire, receptionist and passport officer were all very nice.

I went for passport walk-in today (not urgent), got there at 7am and I was the 2nd in line. By the time they opened, at 8: 30 sharp, we had around 12-14 people in line. The staff was friendly and really organized. I was out in less than 20 minutes so I'm glad I went to this Ajax office, instead of the closest Scarborough location which had a long line before 7am.

I came to Pickering service Canada around 8: 30am and there were already line up 50+ people ahead of me. I entered into the office around 1pm but inside it was empty so it’s fast once going to the building. I have seen security guard took the lady with baby (5 or 6 years old) inside by passing the line so if you have baby bring them if you want to by pass the line. I guess you don’t need to wait on the line.and I have seen people who had appointments they can also by pass the line. If you have elder person with you.the security women inside allow the elder person to sit inside while you stand on the line for your turn … all done left front the building 1: 46pm. Just to make sure if you make a mistake on the form and you have to come back next day then you a stay on the line again.there is 3 staff in counter.staff Who help me was very helpful.

Very poor services. Office hours as 8: 30am to 4pm from Monday to Friday. I came at 3: 30pm but the door is locked. I talked to security and asked information but no responses. She said it has been reached capacity but there is no sign to inform clients for capacity information. Then another male security came and just stood in front of the door and watch all the customers who are waiting for outside in cold weather. What type of services are Services Canada provides?

Arrived @ 7, waiting still and currently is 11: 30. This place is almost always understaffed and slow. Go to other service Canada’s, avoid this one

I was in Service Canada today (not getting a passport) but I did need help with my CPP/SIck Leave. Evelyn assisted me today and she was extremely helpful as well as understanding due to the nature of my visit. Thank you so much for your support. Hands down she made the visit worthwhile!

My wife went in and politely asked a question regarding legally changing a name after marriage. The employee scoffed at her and said “I can’t help you, you’re in the wrong place. ” She insisted this was the exact address service Ontario directed her to, but the employee literally told her she was wrong and to leave. Even if she was in the wrong place, which she wasn’t, the government employee should maybe not refuse to offer any information on where to go next. You work for the government, she does not. You should know where she needs to be for something so simple, and if not maybe you could call and ask someone for help instead of sitting at a desk wasting time chatting with the security guard. Absolute joke that our government employs people to do nothing all day and reap a nice government paycheque with benefits.

Terrible. They have 4 security guards working here, and only one agent who actually processes applications. The security guards do nothing but socializing amongst themselves, which I guess it's a good thing (nothing to intervene about), but I'm wondering if reducing security and increasing number of agents wouldn't have been a better use of taxpayers money. Just my 2 cents

Excellent service and well run. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive to me the whole time I was there. This made renewing my passport a breeze and a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

I arrived at 9 am and it took just over an hour to get in. Compared to Toronto, this was a breeze. There the wait was 6 hours or more. It's a waiting line outside so be prepared for the weather. No chairs to wait in but you could bring your own folding chair. The later you come the longer you'll wait.

Good service. Just need chairs at registration. Made a frustrating EI application painless.thx!
