Worst place! Need to improve their services.
-They don’t have any desk to fill out the application form.
-No lines, & then they announce names without even using speakers.
-I don’t know, why the hell they are wasting the tax payers money at this office.
-They should improve & hire a better, friendly staff.

I always come to this location it’s busy but the staff are always supportive and helpful with any federal inquiries they can help the public with …

There was no lines, the front counter person was super friendly. Got to see an agent within 2min of arrival. However, Peria (couldn’t see her name tag clearly) felt like she needed to talk to our agent about a staff misunderstanding at this moment while she was serving us and reviewing our paperwork. Peria felt it was important to correct our agent’s misunderstanding about ‘when she talked about e biometric, that she was not isolating and talking to our agent alone and she was trying to tell the whole group’. Then they proceeded to discuss and walk away for 8 min. This was unprofessional and clients did not need to hear her poor management/communication skills, apologizing/clarifying to our agent while she is serving others. She needs retraining in management and professionalism here as this seemed like a private matter that the whole world didn’t need to hear. Our agent was super, friendly and patient. I wish her supervisor had the same decorum.

I went to apply for SIN. I found a short line at the door and i was done within 30 minutes. I went at 12 noon. Nice old lady who helped me with my application. I did not pay for anything

Came here today at 3: 15pm for passport renewal. Parking is free for 3 hours. Service Canada is right of canadian tire down the hall. The security and supervisor are very nice and cheery. I waited under 10mins to get registered at the front desk with 2 ahead of me and then waited 2mins to be called to be taken care of. I already had my documents for renewal filled out, my old passport, and 2 passport photos ready.

Everything was explained to me by the clerk. If it's a normal passport renewal it'll be 5 weeks delivery. Old passport will be mailed back when it's cancelled. She took about 10 minutes to input the form information in the system and process my payment. And explained that it'd be another 10mins to complete the rest of the process, including giving me the receipt. She explained that I can wait while she completes the process but cannot be on a phone call. I'm sure many people appreciate that knowing how long they'd have to wait. Especially if you came at a busy time.

Just left at 3: 48pm

I went there today and the service was really good. If you're planning to go in first when they open, try to be there by 7am, by 7: 30 it's too late. The security ladies are so nice. And I was serviced by Anna, which is a very nice and efficient lady. I reached around 7: 25, I was 3rd in line and I finished my passport application by 9am.

For people who want to apply for passport here: their application time takes 5-6 weeks as of today. If you need it faster, go to the passport office.

I came here to renew my passport on Feb 8. I got here by 7: 45am and there was already a line up forming. I was about the 11th person in line.

The doors opened by 8: 30am; The whole process was extremely efficient and timely. I was literally back home by 10am! The workers get ahead of the work by asking who is here and for what reason. Once in, I had a kind worker look over my application and gave me some tips just in case my application was rejected. I waited for about ten minutes before being called.

Once called, the employe worked quickly and diligently. I was out of there within 20 minutes at most.

I have been told that getting a passport renewed is a P. I. A. However, my experience was great! If you need to get it done, go here. Arrive early. Be patient; be kind; and you will have a smooth and seamless process.

At 27 Feb 2023 few days ago
I went to service Canada center to get my SIN at 8: 30am,
the employees inside was very nice and professional I have nothing against them, but before I step inside a young security woman was yelling at an old security woman in front of us and imbracing her and being disrespectful, she ruined my mood that day and whoever responsible there, please make sure the security people respect each other and give a good reputation to your country, shame on her

I recently had the displeasure of visiting the Agency Service Canada and it was hands down the worst government experience I have ever had. I spent more than two hours there, only to be told that they couldn't solve my problem.

The wait time was unbearable, as I was left to sit in an overcrowded waiting room with very few staff members to attend to the countless people there. When I finally got to speak to someone, I was greeted with a disinterested and unprofessional attitude. The staff seemed to have no sense of urgency or empathy, and it was clear that they didn't care about my situation.

The whole experience was frustrating and ineffective. I expected better service from a government-run organization, but it seems that the Agency Service Canada is completely lacking in its ability to provide assistance to its citizens. I was left feeling completely frustrated and unsatisfied, and I wouldn't recommend this agency to anyone.

The whole process was a complete waste of time and effort, and I feel as though my time could have been better spent elsewhere. The staff seemed to be untrained and unprepared to handle the demands of their job, and it was clear that they were not equipped to provide the level of service that is expected from a government organization.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at the Agency Service Canada, and I would advise anyone looking for assistance to avoid this place at all costs. If you value your time and your ability to have your problems solved, it's best to look elsewhere.

If you plan to ever travel don’t go to this location for a passport. They say 13weeks but it’s way longer it’s been over 6months waiting on a passport for this location! They need to high a team to work on only the back log! This is ridiculous.
02 March 2023 18:12
I applied in person at this office for my passport. I waited 2 and half hours in line. They accepted my documents and pictures no problem. They gave a mail out of Nov 9. I have not received my passport yet (Jan 5/23) So I went proper passport office at Yonge&Sheppard to have the file transfer to this office, they said the delay was due to improper pictures! This office could have told me this when I handed the pictures IN PERSON So now I am finally getting my passport in one week. Don't go here for your passport applications. They don't know what they doing. Also I get an impression of a toxic workplace, I witnessed a manager yelling at employees in front of the public that was waiting inside the office.
27 January 2023 1:54
The assistance I was given was marvellous. I was extremely pleased and thankful for the help given. Staff member at Cubicle #4 (Monday November 5,2022) was above and beyond professional.
21 January 2023 6:52
Just went in for my appointment to get passport renewed. The staffs (all three gentlemen's who helped me) were super courteous and helpful. It only took 15 mins to get everything done. But if you don't have an appointment booked, the line up is crazy.

East or west, Vandana is the best. If u need any Sin issue service, visit Lawrence square west. She is very helpful and very energetic.
31 December 2022 7:17
Reason for visit: Passport application
Time: lined up Thursday 7: 25am, left at 9: 10am

Detailed experience: I decided to come to the Lawrence location because I read terrible reviews for the Sheppard location. ~10 people in line when I arrived. Line grew to ~20-30 people by the time the office opened at 8: 30am. Got to front of line at ~8: 50am and everything wrapped up quite quickly. Employees were very polite to me and things went smoothly.

I saw at least 2 people in front of me leave because they did not have the proper documentation. 1 person (behind me) in line had to leave because they are travelling in <5 weeks, and I don't believe this location provides express passport services. Multiple people left due to wanting services that are only offered at Service Ontario (this is Service Canada).

Tips: DO YOUR RESEARCH before going there. Make sure they are providing the service you need. Prepare as much as you can before going. Make sure you are bringing all required pieces of information. Bring as much ORIGINAL documentation and ID as you can, even if you don't think you need it. It's better to spend 10 minutes to be over-prepared than waste 2 hours in line because you did not do your due-diligence.

I drove 40 minutes to get to this place after reading the horror stories about the other centre's and was able to get my SIN in 15 minutes on a busy Thursday afternoon as a walk-in. The folks at the gate were very kind and Mr Mahboob was super efficient.
14 December 2022 14:00
Efficient and the queue was not bad. We came around 6: 30 AM and we were third in line. We wanted SIN. The service started at 8: 30.

I submitted my OAS Application Forms in an envelope through a lady who was manning the door. She said " she could bring inside and I gave the envelop to her" in early month of this year, maybe March or April. I forgot the date. After a while, I was not receiving a response letter since October is my retirement month of this year, 2022. I scheduled an on- line call on My Service Canada site and last Friday, one lady called me. Then she said, they are not scheduling an appointment on the Service Canada Centre and she gonna check my concern. Then, she said, she could not find anything on the system. Then, another call I received maybe after 15 minutes and she said, there is no indication that it was processed. I asked, how long should it be processed. 150 days. So if my OAS was processed it should okay by now. So I can't retire from work anytime now. She suggested to re-apply and I asked how long it would be processed. SHE SAID, 150 DAYS. I said, I am FRUSTRATED. Well, I don't know what happened to my application. Service Canada Employees supposed to be serving the people in time of needs and emergencies, and not staying in the comfort of their HOMES. THEY CREATED THESE BACKLOGS. DO ANYBODY WORK EFFICIENTLY AT HOME. I don't think so.
12 November 2022 7:10
If you arrive before 7, the entrance open is beside Tim Hortons. They start serving SIN people at 7: 30 and the rest have to wait until 8: 30. If you are getting a passport but are not travelling urgently, they will not serve you here.
10 November 2022 17:41
I had to renew my passport (non urgent with no travel date). I read the reviews in advance and aimed to arrive before 7am. I parked by Tim Horton’s and entered the mall at 6: 58am. By the time I walked to Service Canada, there were 20 people in front of me. So I guess the main mall doors open before 7am. They started letting people in with SIN applications at 7: 30am and passport applications at 8: 30am. By 8: 30am, there were only 5 people in front of me, and they were all passport applications. I entered the main waiting area in the Service Canada office at 8: 34am to be screened, and then waited until 9: 10am to actually speak to an officer to get my two passport applications processed (mine and my son’s). That took about 55 minutes. My advice is be there before 7am, and bring a lawn chair if you don’t want to stand around for hours.
05 November 2022 10:43
Very nice service center. Very helpful staff from security to officials. I reached at 5.30am thinking of a long queue but people started coming around 6.30. Enter at the front entrance A, as there is a Tim Hortons by the entrance. You can enter into the plaza through this Tim Hortons which opens at 6 am. Then walk all the way to the back side towards the service Canada office.
For SIN they start at 7.30.for Passport normal 8.30 is the starting time. If you reach there by 7 you can get out by 8.30.
I went for a passport in the queue at 6.30am, entered the office at 8.30 and was out by 9am.
Don't go here for emergency passport service.

Dear Ms. Chand,
I want to thank you for calling me and letting me have the opportunity to let you know what a wonderful Man you have working for you.
I came into Service Canada to apply for my passport on
August 24,2020, I had the good fortune of having
Mr. Mahboob Hassan be the person to help me that day. All of my paper work that I had printed out on my computer had smudges on it, Mr. Hassan told me that he didn't want think that my paperwork would work because of the smudges.
Mr. Hassan had the option of sending me away to book another appointment which would have taken another couple of months or having me stand in the long line to wait and take my chances to get in to see someone.
Mr. Hassan could see how upset I was and he did something that went above and beyond he re-wrote my passport for me.
I don't have enough word to express the type of gratitude that I have for Mr. Hassan. This is a man who deserves a great deal of acknowledgement for his work ethics but also for his care of another human being.
Mr. Hassan thank you so much for what you did for me, I will never forget it.
Take Care and Be Well

I went today to apply for my passport, I was lucky enough to book an appointment so it sped up the process but the staff at this location. I can't even begin to tell you how rude they are. Sitting in the waiting area you hear their staff talking to people, it's ridiculous how disrespectful they are to people. This is supposed to be an entity of the government, there to help people. Believe me, it's so far from that. Glad you only need a passport every 10 years.
02 October 2022 18:07
I went to this location because I read on website that you could get an express passport. However there is a sign on the door that clearly states that they do passports in 13 weeks (90 days). Mall was open at 7 am so you can line up inside. There was 20 people there already when I arrived. If you need an express passport you need to go to the following passport office.
25 September 2022 21:12
The wait is long, but the security guard Valarie was very helpful, and Joel was AMAZING, he not only stayed late to help me complete 7 passports but he did it without a complaint. He even cracked a smile. Thank you so very much Joel

Best Service Canada in the entire Toronto area, I arrived at 7: 20 in the morning, there were about 12 people in front of me, but to my surprise they started an hour early at 7: 30, The service was quick and the staff was very polite, a special mention to the security guard as he was very helpful and had nice conversation with him. Will recommend this service Canada to everyone.
22 August 2022 23:17
If you don’t have an appointment make sure you reach by 6.30 AM at least. The entrance at the backside of Lawrence square is right adjacent to the office.
Also be aware of the supporting document required beforehand. Staff will most probably NOT take the trouble of explaining things from scratch.

When I was there back in April 22, This office at Lawrence had a strange way of managing the queue if it went beyond a limit at the entrance. Some of the folks would be made to stand in a separate queue away from the office, in an alleyway within the mall, which doubles up as some kind of fire exit. You depend upon the guard taking the initiative of coming up to this place and calling you when the line moves ahead at the main door. If you happen to stay in this second line, Better go back home and visit early morning
09 August 2022 10:33
For anyone that wants fast and helpful information or services whether it's for your passport or EI, this is the place to go they are not as busy as the other locations line up takes minutes to get in. Staff are very nice especially the front desk staff. I like how they are not rude and they don't rush though what you want to do. I recommend here ️

I wish i could give a negative rating here, this lady who is on duty at Tuesday 28th June 2022 between morning 7.30 am until 8.00 am (when i was in there) at counter no. 7 was literally heartless and had ridiculous behavior. I had my SIN applied online and had a situation to explain why i need it so urgently. I was polite throughout and the way she reacted was like i was in obligation to accept her behavior like that. She refused to listen to me and upfront said i dont care. Service Canda is this the level of professionalism you work at? This is how your employees are taught how to behave with the immigrants? Indeed a developed country, i must say!

I was told someone would call me within two business days. I did not have high hopes however they returned my call in 3 days. Because I am not in a hurry to travel anytime soon I decided to schedule an appointment rather than wait in line. The earliest they gave me was approximately 5 weeks. On the day of my appointment I stood by the door and once someone came out I told them that I had an appointment at such a time they took me in right away. The process was easy and professional. I received a printout receipt and was given a date in which they estimate the post date. I haven't any complaints with this location
13 July 2022 6:15
Two hours wait in the line for passport application, (got there at 6: 40 a.m)

Very polite and friendly security man,
Officer Steve was so efficient and the actual process time was about 10 mins.
Thank you!

My experience was very good. It was my first visit to Service Canada. Both the reception desk employee, and the lady who filled out my application forms re CPP and OAS, were most helpful, caring, and patient with me.
Six months prior, I called CPP to help me fill out the rudimentary forms to commence my pension benefits at 65.10 months prior, a CPP employee, advised me incorrectly, thus her mistakes affected the amount of both my pensions by $657~
Thanks to both employees, I have now received my FULL benefits and do NOT have to return to work at 65 yrs old!
The people working in government offices put up with so much abuse by rude, arrogant people. I instead treated them with respect and dignity, believe me they noticed, and they felt validated as human beings.
Be kind and be patient, it goes a long way.
