The woman at the front desk was kind, energetic, and patient. The gentleman who assisted me with my passport application was also very patient, calm, informative, and kind. What a pleasent experience from a Service Canada office! I went around 10: 45am and the process was quick and the office was quiet.

Arrived at the location around 8AM at the end of September, and though there were people in their vehicles, no one had begun lining up, so I ended up at the head of the line. When the location opened, the line up consisted of around 10 people. The doors open at pretty much 8: 30AM and not earlier (you can watch the employees stream in as the entrance is on the same side of the building, though not the main doors)

Once doors opened, was met by a representative who greeted me and asked the purpose for my visit (passport renewal with undamaged old passport with a trip coming within 3 weeks). Was directed to the first available cubicle, where the representative there was able to assuage my concerns about the renewal being processed in time. That said, I did opt for the extra $20 for pickup to avoid any possible mailing issues. In general, found both representatives to be empathetic, kind and professional. Was in and out in 15 minutes.

Note that this location does not do express passports, nor is it the pickup location if you decide to choose that option. Online passport status showed my new passport had already been printed within a week/5 business days of submission, so mail delivery would likely have been fine. Would recommend this location vs the Upper James one if you're not in the rush, as you don't need to contend with any rush renewals/applications, based off the short experience I had picking up the passport at Upper James (arrived around 9AM, about 30-40 people there)

Passport renewal with old passport available. First in line, in and out in about 15 minutes. Printed as per online status within a week, available for pickup on the date set (2.5 weeks after submission).

My bride and I went to this Service Canada location to renew our passports. We arrived early, about 20 minutes before the offices opened. We were not the first in line, about six people ahead of us. Once the doors opened we were all greeted by a person in security, who allowed you to enter in sequence. Once inside the building, we were asked about what purpose we were pursuing. We got directed to a passport officer who looked after our needs. We had a great experience conversing with the PP officer who within a short period of time processed our forms.
This was without a doubt, the best experience we have had at a Service Canada office. Kudo's to all the employee's especially "D"
We were told we could expect our new Passports within two weeks, and if that happens then all the better.

This location and staff deserves 5 star ratings. They are so welcoming - informative and honest with their work. I had very pleasant experience with them while applying for new passport. For 3 new applications it took less than 1 hour. Very clean - well lit facility.

It's June 21st, 2023, and our experience today was fantastic! We walked in at about 9am and almost immediately were able to talk to someone who double checked our forms before giving us a number. We sat down and waited maybe 15 minutes for our number to come up. Walked over to the desk and the lady helped us get two passports renewed and two new passports for our sons that needed adult passports for the first time. The lady's name was Justyne and she was super helpful and friendly. She helped us with a couple of errors and omissions on our forms and got us in and out in a very short time. I went to Service Canada at Queenston Road to apply for a passport via walk-in. I arrived a few minutes after 8: 00, and was the 5th person in line at the front of the door. When doors opened at 8: 30, I got referred to a station to submit my passport application. It took around 15 mins to get everything done. Process was smooth and staff were friendly.

If you require speedy service, I would recommend arriving 30 minutes before they open since the line did become much bigger around 8: 15 (~over 30 people in line). For those coming here for the first time, heads up that there will be a security guard who will let everyone in one-by-one. They will tell you to wait at the front door, then enter the front door but wait in front of the 2nd door, then once the person in front of you gets served then you can fully enter and speak with the front staff.

The guy that we got to do our passport was very quick and has no problems. In and out in 45 mins.

They were helpful and professional. We needed to wait for assistance, which is normal these days.

Went in to renew child's passport. Smooth experience, clean, well organized, friendly staff. I got there 8: 45 and was out in 45 mins. Please note I was not in a rush, there were others who needed their passport asap, they came in after me and left before me. They are prioritizing the wait time based on urgency. Super impressed! Service for new passports was quick (even right after the strike; I was a tad bit nervous initially with how long the line up would be), easy /communicative and pleasant.

I visited this office because the camara of the mountain office was malfunction on the day of my appointment, and I was directed by the employee in the mountain office. When I arrived at this office, front desk stuff asked why do you come without an appointment, your address is close to mountain office why do you come to this office without listing to my explanation. As if I wasted hours and gas money cross the whole town just for fun. Terrible behavior. The stuff served me was quite nice and polite tho, Herself deserved the two stars.

Amazing experience. I booked ahead of time for passport services and showed up a few min early. There was nobody in the initial processing line when I arrived, and I went straight through to my appointment room after checking in. The entire staff was incredibly nice. Was in and out in 30 minutes total. Highly recommend you book ahead if you can, it makes the process a breeze.

Very fast service and also amazing service from employees. The environment itself inside is peaceful and calm. Security is also worried about us there waiting and always available to help those who need. Arrived at this place at 10: 45am and was out 11: 25am for passport application as a walk in.

Came in to renew five passports for our family. I had to wait a bit but Amy was extremely help with reviewing the papers and even went out of her way to call my wife to approve some changes on our application, which would save us from having to come back in. Thank you Amy!

You people deserve the best. I went in today, although I was early to avoid line ups, ended up going in 8: 30. Within 3 minutes of sitting, we were called in and we handed in passport papers & everything was done within 10 minutes. To the staff who did serve us, Big Thank You for you fast and professional work. We appreciate that and we need to see more people like you. I had a very good experience. From the gentleman who greeted us at the door, to everyone else walked us through to be served, thank you all for being kind and professional at your job.

Very pleasant experience! I had an appointment at 3: 10 but went at 1: 15 because I figured I’d try a walk in! I told the security guard that I had a time slot but wanted to wait and she told me to go right ahead! I was seen at the counter at 1: 19 and was done by 2: 25! I was worried when I got sent to the back waiting room and saw all the people waiting but I was done and out of there in an hour and the girl assisting me was very kind! I was told it would take 2 weeks for my new passport so we shall see!

Had a very pleasant experience with my passport renewals. I arrived 15 minutes before opening and there was a line up. Once inside right at opening, I was done and out the door at 9: 30 and I had three passport applications. Most of the wait was after the initial counter, that was 5 minutes. The remaining wait depends on the people ahead of you and their needs. This location does more than passport renewals.

Yes if you arrive mid day, I can easily see a two plus hour wait. The staff was very pleasant as well. Just arrive before they open if you can and you will be fine.

Very positive experience applying for passports. If you follow the government guidelines, fill out the application properly, and bring all supporting documents; the process will go very smoothly. I checked the estimated online wait time beforehand and it started 1 hour 45 min. This was very accurate for me. I walked in (no appointment) around 1: 35pm and left around 3: 15pm. The location of the office is in a good plaza, inside is very clean and well organized. The signs are very clear and there are security guards directing people traffic and answering questions. Both the security guards and the staff were patient, professional, and attentive. The Service Canada agent that processed my family's applications was friendly and professional, very reassuring (answered all questions I had), and informed me of next steps. The agent informed me that the passports will be mailed out in 10 business days. To everyone who works at this location, keep up the great work!

Update: I received my passport within 6 business days! Very satisfied with the quick turnaround.

Had an appointment to get a passport today and the process was extremely quick and efficient, I was fast tracked to the front since I had an appointment so I would highly recommend doing that if you can! The staff were all very knowledgeable and polite, highly recommend this location!

I truly don't even want to give it one star, I am very disappointed as the hours of operation are from 8: 30am to 4pm I had arrived at 3: 40pm, more then enough time to be taken care of but was told by the security guard that they are closing cause there is to many people in there, there might I add was only maybe 7 or 8 people in there, people work and can't be there during their ridiculous hours.
Not impressed hours should be changed!
