(I am not someone who complains about DMV issues, long lines do not matter to me) The staff here cannot discern what constitutes valid ID, they have failed me multiple times.my birth certificate was rejected because it was "foreign", this is clearly a service only for Canadian citizens ONLY.so NO IMMIGRANTS ALLOWED, maybe they should get that spray painted in their window. After being overly insistent they shipped a collection my IDs to their head office because they were unable to tell which was one was valid or not. When the Head office got them they validated instantly then shipped my card out. I'm Constantly placed in a position where have to correct staff on their own mistakes so I can do something as simple as renewing my health card, I NEVER want to tell people how to do their own jobs. Maybe they should do self checkout at service Ontario lol.the woman they had working there rejected my student ID because it "expired" in 2018, even though the card clearly stated ISSUED.then proceeded to accept it as valid ID, This particular incident may point to a larger problem within the firm, perhaps there is abusive management that doesn't allow employees to eat to drink on the job, or perhaps is subjecting them to overwork, causing them to become malnourished and make mistakes a toddler wouldn't make.but it seems far more likely that the people working there have a collective IQ of 100.

Excellent service. Line up was short and moved very quickly (Friday morning before noon)
I had a list if items to sort out (7 sets of old plates to turn in as well as having a vehicle re-registered) and had friendly help throughout the entire process

Far more competent than those at the other locations. Lovely group of workers sure to put a smile on your face:)

Friday 10am had a line up but lone moved really fast. Quick and friendly service. Very informative about what I needed to know

I was in the door at 9 am and out the door at 9: 18. Got two cards, 1 renewal, and 1 new. Clerk was extremely friendly and made the process go great.

I attended upper Ottawa office last Friday with my 91yr old mom to renew her health card and handicapped parking permit. Angelica served us. Apparently, We also needed to get an ontario photo ID. Angelica explained everything to us in detail and advised what documents we still needed to produce. We came back today and once again Angelica came through for us. I feel she goes over and above to make sure her clients are well served. I'll be looking for Angelica the next time I need service ontario.

Easily the best service ontario experience I have ever had, needed a plate and licence renewal, arrived at 1030 on a Tuesday and was out in my car by 1036, even after forgetting my ownership in my car and having to run out to get it. The lady that processed me was so fast and polite it was like I was ordering a drink at a bar even though she said she had only been there for a month. Will gladly only use this service ontario for the future

Went to renew heath card was told it was closed because it was raining out truly unbeliveable.and they will be closed tommarow
also closed for 2 days because of rain i went there to get a heath card not to play GOLF.so closed DEC 15 & 16.

My mom and I had to go renew her health card. My mom who has low eye sight was struggling to find her cards and we thought they were left at home. The lovely lady Jilly told us it's ok and to come back tomorrow, since they were closing soon. When we got to the car we found them.
I hurried back in and asked if we could proceed after she finished with the line up. Thankfully she allowed us to come back in. She was so kind and nice to us. My mom who suffers from anxiety was so thankful for Jill's patience and kindness.
Thank you for making my mom's day Jilly. You are truly amazing!

By far the longest wait times at any service Ontario’s here in hamilton. Also unorganized seating area. The chairs are still ordered in a inefficient way when social distance was something. Ive been to others that have returned to the ticket idea pre Covid. I’ve started to avoid this one, unfortunately it’s just too close to home.
It’s frustrating to be forced to wait in line 45+ mins

Upper Ottawa location. It was standing room only. But not for me! I had an appointment. Everyone, do yourself a favour. Make an appointment! I had a lot of paperwork! In and out in 15 minutes. Happy Dance

Waiting in the ER for 5 hours while having an acute stroke and being diagnosed with lung cancer combined are still better than this place.

Extremely poor service. Appointment for 9am. Service agent that takes care of appointments specifically took care of someone she knew before the person that has a 9am appointment. She was extremely rude for someone just starting work.

This office offers fast friendly service. The lines are usually small and fast. The staff are knowledgeable, and try to help you out to the best of their ability. The one thing that is lacking is having someone answer the phone in the office to answer questions that are needed.

Walked in, the place was empty except for one other gentleman, and out with new license plates in 10 minutes. I understand that that's an anomaly, but for me it was perfect.

Welcoming staff, and knowledgeable. I dealt with Natalie and was very friendly and could answer all my questions. Everything was done in a timely manner.

I have been waiting outside in the rain, for far too long. Only a couple of people have even entered

Good service! Advise to go during work hours if you can cause wait is long during lunch time cause everyone else is going of their break.

Make sure you book an appointment we were in and out in 10 minutes. There was a line up down the side walk for the walk ins. Probably about 50 people in line. We just walked in and stood at the appointment desk.

It was a nice location as at the time I went there. There's a staff there that although seems to be quick in attending to the next person but she talks so loud that it feels she screams at you when explaining to you. Everyone even from outside can hear her. Aside from that I think they're polite at the location.

Service need to be more efficient. Office need improvements, as well as cleanliness. Hand sanitizers should be made available.

Friendly staff but I had an appointment and when I arrived it was difficult to tell where to go.

I attended the service Ontario on Upper Ottawa to renew my DL, Health Card and Licence Plate Sticker. I was in amd out in 15 minutes. Excellent service.

Disaster. Long lineup but yet they were letting people in beyond their 8 limit. Woman at the desk had extreme attitude, had to phone someone constantly to get help, basically had to leave without even being able to get service. She gave the excuse that "we're a private company". You should go to the Ellen Fairclough building downtown instead, there you can be in and out in 10 minutes because the people there know what they're doing.

They don’t enforce the COVID structure for capacity. They let a man barge in, cutting the line, demanding a refund, and then proceeded to serve him ahead of everyone. He didn’t have an appointment.

Some of us need to take time off work to come to Service Ontario. This gentleman was retired and could come whenever he wanted. Why not ask him to book an appointment and come back?

Seriously sorry service. You’re the province; uphold the rules YOU made.

Due to COVID, they are only allowing 8 people in at a time. Line is outside but moves pretty quickly. The staff are very fast and friendly. Much better experience here than in downtown Toronto 777 Bay office where there’s a lineup of 100 people outside and another huge lineup inside.

I checked yesterday and they said it was open today. Tuesday March 9th 2021. There was a huge line up of people, and i check at 905 and they werent open. Not even a note on the door

It was the fastest time had no paperwork also handicap permit ran out last year they did my handycap permit no doctor report
Need so that saved me a hundred

After waiting in line for a few minutes, you talk to a service rep, pay for whatever, and your off and runnin'.

Not everyone is happy to be at work. Customer service wasn't the greatest, but I guess its covid time

But of a wait, which is to be expected. But overall wasn't bad at all. About 30 mins wait and the employees were super nice and following protocols.

Woman at booth #4 is rude and unhelpful.

Came in on two occasions to deal with registering a used vehicle. Im new to the process so naturally i have questions and dont fully know the process goes.

She told me i needed to buy a used vehicle package (i already have a bill of sale printed out). So i brought it in with me on the 2nd time and she told me i didnt need either to get registered. So naturally im confused and she pretty much just kept saying "i dont know why you keep asking about these, we dont accept these. " (Bill of sale / used vehicle package)

So i just took the temporary plate and will go to a different service ontario for additional help instead.

Many people do not know this, but the Provincial Government outsources to private investors to run Service Ontario offices- with the exception of the SO office in the Ellen Fairclough building across from Jackson Square. The money you have to spend in these offices goes to the Provinicial Government all the same, regardless of location. The people who work in these offices are paid an hourly wage and in this office in particular, do not have any kind of benefits plan or private pension unlike the Government office employees. Next time you visit any Service Ontario office, remember that the people serving you are doing a challenging job, in an impossible situation and if you are unhappy about the cost of a validation sticker for your car, take it up with your MP and not the lady behind the desk who has no other option but to do what the Government has ruled. Atleast at this location they try to do it with a smile, unlike in some other offices. The women who work in this office are kind and pleasant to deal with.but they are also human. It just takes a few words to make life run smoothly for everyone; co-operation, understanding and patience.

Absolutely terrible. Looked online to ensure hours. Stated open until 4pm. Doors were already locked at 3: 35. Not many people inside at all. Terribly and rudely addressed and was told "We are allowed to close 15 minutes early. " That switched to, "we are allowed to close a half hour early. " Wish the real world was able to make these calls in regards to their workplaces as well.

A very bad customer service. The Lady who talked to me She was like doesn't want to help. I was standing there asking her a question she had the phone in the drawer playing with it.she should be Respectful with the customers. She doesn't have to work if she doesn't like her job.

Previously would have given high points but had a 45 min wait and a very unfriendly staff member. Had to go back to get a 2 year old death certificate and had an additional wait of more than an hour. Useless.

Long wait times.girl at desk 4 seems like she doesn't want to be there. Do yourself a favor go else where.
