The woman’s attitude is really impolite and disrespectful. If you dont like your job just quit it. We drive 30 mins over there. We walked in, this is the first time i see that is so empty, (there is no even a line) and she is telling me that they are too busy they dont accept walk in. We arrived there 4: 00! There is one more hour close to the closing time. But you guys didn’t even notify online or even in front of the door. And she just open the door to rushing us to go. Once we went out we want to enter again she block the door. That is so rude and disrespectful! And i was asking “are you making us to go? ” She just said “ leave, yes”. “I dont care, we only take appointment today”. I don’t get the point that we pay so much taxes, and we get these people serve us. This is so disappointed! And there is no way to report them!
Also the way how this woman dress was so impropriety, her clothes was transparent that we could see how her bra was. She was eating gum at the same time and then speak very impolite. I can not understand, this is how she does her job?

Go to a different location if you can. The workers and manager here are completely unreasonable, they look for opportunities to make a simple process like registering a car more difficult and block you from getting it done.

Disgusting person (woman in eyewear) works at the reception there. She makes her own rules, the place was so crowded and because of that she did tell me and bunch of other people that we had to have an appointment, otherwise we gotta leave. She said it only after I spent an hour in the line waiting to hear this nonsense. They’ve never had this rules before and the last time when I was there to get done with the same thing I needed this time and I didn’t need any appointment and had everything done without it.
It’s such a joke, I lost half a day of work in order to get there, and because of that rude, moody and disrespectful person makes her own rules I couldn’t get whatever I needed. Management of this Ontario Service really has to rehire the staff for the receptionist at least.

Booked an appointment. Showed up on time. 30 mins later I am still waiting to be seen. This appointment did NOT “take 10 minutes” as indicated on the site so keep that in mind when you come here.

I would recommend to book an appointment online or through phone approximately 2 weeks in advance to make sure that you wont experience a long period of wait time. The staff did a good job answering the questions and concerns.

The worst service I've had in Canada unfortunately I don't speak English I speak very little English the lady didn't want to help me because I didn't speak 100 percent English I told her through Google translator that I had to bring a translator I feel very helpless that society doesn't include people who don't speak English I'm studying English and I'm learning

Horrible experience at this service centre. I have recently purchased a car and needed to have my temporary documentation swapped out after having the vehicle safety checked.

I walked in and the lady on the counter was ever so miserable. The concept of customer service doesnt exist here. I did not have a appointment but I didnt realise walk in appointments can be based on speaking to a manager

There was a gentlemen who was upset at the fact he could not get an appointment immediately and needed his expired licence switched out. After asking to speak to the manager he was seen, yet I was l told I have to come back once I had an appointment.
That was annoying as I also had a deadline but it went to show someone being disruptive can get a appointment yet I followed protocol and was told to be on my way.

To respond to your comment:

I would recommend changing your business hours to reflect the time you actually close the doors and avoid any future misunderstandings with your customers. Reading other reviews the doors are locked long before closing time. There is nothing worse than fighting traffic after a long day of work to find the doors are closed early. One would wonder how much better this place could be if management put the same amount of effort into daily operations as they do defending themselves online.

I very upset, the service what I received today it was horrible, the guy who open and close door was very, very very rude, I try to renew Health card from August, but evry time when I show up they not accept anymore, I finish my work at 4pm I try my best to be there before 5 but they say no, I can not book appointment because I don't know what time I am arrive, today I did my best and show up at 4: 40 but the guy said they not taking anymore, I told him please call to manager, but he ingore me, I stay out side 10 minutes but he still not call to manager, I asking again, and he close the door. He just ignore, What kind the service you give to coustemer? I just want to ask manager please teach your workers be more nice to costumers. And if the costumer asking call to manager then please go out and listen to them. I will complain to Minister of Health.

Went here to register and plate a used car that I bought recently. I did book an online appointment, reviewed and gathered all the necessary docs, showed up 20 minutes earlier. There was a line outside due to limited space here, however, staff periodically come out call for folks with appointment. If there are any no shows, they take in the appointments from next slot, so I ended up going in 15 minutes early. Once inside, while waiting for next available window, one of the staff checks and make sure you have the necessary documantation for the service you came for.

I was in and out in 10 minutes with my new title and llicense plate. Kudos to the staff for well co-ordinated service.

Awful experience every time. No accountability for what one attendant says when I come back next time, no acknowledgement or remorse for repeatedly wasting time, and an owner who is victim blaming by twisting the facts in their response to my review.

I will update with details of what the owner is referring to, soon. Writing and making sure my frustration doesn't get the better of me for the sake of communication.

Worker just made me complete a form identical to the one i had already brought filled out because "she works here", all the headings are literally the same (i can verify because now im at the back of the line and have to wait even longer for my turn). I can see why the line up is so long here

Edit: She absolutely used those words, and she was rude. She told me the form was just wrong with no further explanation. This was not the first time I had presented these forms to a Service Ontario worker because I was missing documentation the first time so I knew these forms were correct. I did not put up a fight and filled the form out a second time, copying exactly what I had pre-printed. The reply to my review is shockingly dishonest.

Terrible, wasted an hour lining up for then to tell us no walk-ins. This was only after someone confronted them, how long more were they going to make a line of 30+ people wait? What a joke of management and staffing.

Now they replied and said they would have announced 4 times, casually leaving out they were fully booked woth appointments until 5pm, and only said so after being confronted by a few people in the line. Did you annouce that too?

What an amazing experience. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by an employee that confirmed my reservation, then led to an efficient line of people that booked (if you just show up, the line can be pretty long). I was later led to a window where a kind a courteous employee helped me complete my business very quickly.
I chose to go to this location because their reviews are higher than other ones nearby, and I'm glad I did.
The office itself is need of a renovation.or a cleaning. Or both! Nevertheless, I'll still be coming to this location!

The service here is efficient and fast. A lady named Veda helped me to make every things done to change my car plate from Québec to Ontario. She is passionate and friendly. She even pick up a lucky number for me. It's really a good experience for me as a new comer to Ontario. Thank you Veda!

Very rude and ignorant customer service providers.
It was back in November, 2021. We’ve went in there a second time to get a simple adjustment done by providing all the required documents, calling ahead, checking their website details, and even confirming with multiple employees there in person to make sure we were good to go.
After waiting a great deal of time, we were met with this worker who refuses to acknowledge ANYTHING we say, refuses to accept the documents we’ve provided simply because the document we provided was “expired”.
We’ve informed her multiple times that we confirmed with them over the phone and in person, checked their websites for details that passports that has not expired for more than 6 months are still valid as a proof of ID. She just kept screaming at us that it’s expired. So we’ve then literally used a leaflet with information in there they provided there to show her that the passport is still valid and she still refuses to look at it…
Not only did she not follow her own procedures, she refused to even check if she was wrong or not.
We had to end up going to someone else to simply get this easy adjustment done after escalating this issue.
To keep it short. Terrible customer service provider who refuses to follow their own procedures or acknowledge basic instructions. They literally could have read a sentence of 15 to 20 words but no, they rather argue against their own policies until you escalate it to their superiors.

Pretty horrendous experience. The staff are nice but the place is a textbook example of what everyone complains about regarding government inefficiencies. They had people lining up waiting for 2 hours. I know the pandemic means everyone can wait inside but prior to the pandemic it didn’t take that long to have your case dealt with. I’m just glad more of these services are moving online.

I came to this location 4 times in 2 days. The woman they have running the door gave misinformation, then everytime I show up doesn't explain herself. I have NEVER in my life been made to feel as terrible as I did today coming here. There is lack of communication, lack of information, lack of understanding and I won't be coming back. They should find a new manager, new door lady. I could barely understand her and I am appalled at their lack of service. Worst place I have visited in a very long time. I'm beyond upset. For a tax paying Canadian, I'm disturbed this is how a service is managed.

Arrived at 9: 30am on a Monday morning and waited in line outside for about 45 minutes to get the the front of the line, where I was asked the purpose of my visit and had some questions (that were answered, but not fully). The person at the door didn't have the full information I needed. After some more questions from my end, was let inside and helped out for everything I needed.

They were liers over the phone because they said when l called that they will be opened from 10AM until 4PM and when l arrived they were closed. It was personal inside, they saw me but didn't bother even to speak with me. For me it was a big issue to come because of my mobility problems.

I visited this location of Service Ontario twice this week and both times was pleasantly surprised how fast and efficient they work. One or two employees are screening customers outside - standard covid19 questions, checking documentation, bringing them missing forms and pens. Inside every window is filled with an employee, the line goes very fast. Both times that I was there, the total time between my arrival to the parking lot and until I left with completed transaction took less than 30 minutes. I believe that is faster than pre-covid times.

My family moved from another province. It's 100 times harder than immigration. Service Ontario employees are unfriendly, coercive, and slow to work. My daughter has been here for almost three months and has not been able to make a health card. The bank didn't give me the original bill, and I couldn't make it because I didn't have it. I have been rejected 3 times and I have been rejected 2 times. The two-hour line is basic. It's ridiculous. Canada's tight administrative process really has nothing to say.

4 month ago, someone applied health card here, so I came here today. After I waited almost 1 hour in cold air, they told me they can't do this, but they still show this service on the wall! And they tried to kick me out quickly. Shame for you and your service.

While yes this is a very busy location I have found them to be one of the friendliest Service Ontario locations to work with. Some can be a lot harder to work with however no matter the item they have been able to help here.

The office is small and dark and dingy. Arrived just after 9 am and had to wait over an hour. Lots of elderly clients at this location and not enough chairs so many had to stand.
I was returning my license plate as I had sold my car. The intake clerk clipped my license to the form I filled out and subsequently presented to the Service clerk. The service clerk who served me forgot to return my license and I realized when I got home so I had to go back again the next day and luckily when I explained to the office supervisor that the clerk who served me the day before forgot to return my license I was able to get it returned to me without waiting too long.
It would be nice if the staff smiled and were more welcoming by saying hello when serving people.

Visited this place yesterday after work. Entered at 5: 50 pm and left at 7: 10.
During this time (1 hour and 20 min) 25 people were served. There were no computerized counter to take a number. Only 3 clerks were operated. Why this place has only one day when it's open after work?
Next time will check for a place with more flexible infrastructure.

It is indeed a busy location. However, all staff work together to serve the clients ASAP in great quality. The line reduces fast without sacrificing the service quality. The staff smiles and helps answer all questions.

I am moving from another province and need to get a license plate. They ask me to pay 13% tax of my original car purchase price. Then contact the original province for tax rebate. I think that is a crazy and horrible solution for someone just moved to ON.

This place is busy, yes. Get over it. That's not their fault. Getting rid of the auto ticketing system totally makes sense. They have a human checking your paperwork before you waste your own time, and issue you a ticket. Makes perfect sense. Those of you that expect smiles and positive attitude by employees that deal with PEOPLE LIKE YOU all day, clearly have no idea what it's like to work in a high strung retail environment like this that never stops until you clock out. Instead of complaining, you smile and be super polite. It may rub off on them.

My only gripe with this place, is that it needs a facelift. Looks rundown, old, and the blue walls aren't helpful. And the other issue, is that they need more seating. There are about 35 seats here, all currently taken, and about 7 people standing waiting for chairs. 15 people in line for ticketing.
