If you are an immigrant, kindly select a different location.principal issue is absence of regard for ethics and ignorance of any significant facets of foreign policy. Unlike the majority of other service centers, this one does not employ any immigrants, which makes it harder to grasp the circumstances of the clients.
There are a few of positive points: the token system is a fantastic idea, and the first process was quick. This might be a good place for you if you don't care about your rights, but be warned that you might unintentionally get into some trouble.we went there on 19-Jan-2024 at around 4pm, it was to apply for health card for my parents, who got their PR status recently. They were therefore thrilled to arrive to their first-ever in-person meeting with a Canadian government service center. When we initially arrive, the front desk staff attitude toward immigrant clients is immediately evident.additionally, she behaved rudely, loudly, and as though the residents from other countries are stupid. Once the paperwork is finished, we are left with a pleasant woman. She was kind and helpful to my wife and parents, but regrettably, she is ignorant about some of the background priorities of her clients. Problems arose when, without providing any guidance, she requested that they apply for a photo ID in addition to a health card. We weren't aware of any consequences. It seems odd to me that she is asking us to bring my parents' photo ID from their home country, as I have never been asked for one in my fifteen years of living in Canada. We were confused, but when we questioned, she stated we needed it to apply for a Canadian photo ID. Since there was no other explanation, we decided to attempt to ease my parents' concerns and make things move more smoothly. As their closing time was drawing near, I rushed home and brought those documents. She asked to pay for photo Id, unfortunately even that we were not aware of, no problem we paid for both of them. Then starts the issue, She completed some paperwork for their photo ID and then refused to return their Indian photo ID. She didn't know that this ID was crucial for my parents because they still had voting rights and owned property in that nation, and they needed it for any government services in India. She put them under further pressure by saying that she had to report this to Ontario Health and that they could have to leave Canada when we urged her to cancel the Canadian photo card application and return their Indian picture ID. I have no idea where she got the idea or the statement for it. Anyway after fighting for our right and repeated explanation, she finally cancelled Canadian photo ID application and returned their Indian photo ID. This create lots of stress to my parents and they mentioned to me that, they now feel insecure to go to any Canadian Service center because of this incident. At least she could have explained the any such consequence involved in Canadian photo Id application, which could have avoid this confusion and stress. The service could have been much better I believe, if they have shown some consideration to understand need and priorities of other and treat everyone with respect, unbiased and nonjudgmental.

There so fast! So nice. I didn't have any data left to get some forms off my cell phone so the nice man that was helping me turned on his hotspot for me! Was an absolute gentleman.

Excellent service. Take note, if you go by bus it will stop in from of the office. To take the bus back, the bus stop is 50 mts to the east!

Went to this Service Ontario on Saturday afternoon around 12 after the disaster of an experience I had on the Hwy 7 & McCowan one. Everyone was really nice and helpful. Had no issues whatsoever and the entire process was smooth. The staff here seemed to understand providing great service makes for a better time for all parties involved. I know Service Ontarios can be hit or miss in general so I definitely recommend giving these guys a shot.

It is good that in ajax, there is service ontario. But, it needs to be updated with well marked parking spots and faster processing services.

Extremely rude supervisor. Went to renew my mom’s health card. They asked if she was out province I said no. Then they asked for 2nd piece of ID we provided her passport. They went through all the stamps of her passport! Invasion of privacy! There was no lock or alert on her health card so they had no right to go through her passport like that. I am filling a complaint with the ministry and CEO office.

I went a few weeks back and Sabrina in the Ajax location was amazing! Very patient and explained everything clearly. She made the process so easy. Honestly the once we got to her window we were out in 5 mins.

Extremely rude employee, wouldn't let me explain anything kept cutting me off, and then provided wrong information to me regarding where to go. Luckily I called and other location does not provide the service either.

The workers are nice and they're doing the best they can to help us.

Unfortunately there's hundreds of people needing service a day since this is a ServiceOntario but only 4-5 workers (to keep cost low of course) so it can take some time to see someone.

Be kind to these workers. They're doing the best they can and it isn't their fault the service is slow. Be mad at the owner. When this person gets off work because of bad customers, they bring those negative feelings with them when they leave work.

Nice not to have to fork out money for license and plates on your birthday. In and out in 15 minutes.

RUDE and have attitude employees the WORST service and are lazy like why would she say sorry i can't take you? !

Best out of best employees are working at this location with a vast knowledge and very informative. A lady who was wearing a gold chain she was the one who helped me and tackle all the obstacles that I was going through. She is so intelligent and respectful. Thank you so much!

Had 3 people ahead of me and thought woohooo this will be quick. I thought wrong as I still had to wait 45 mins.

Had very bad experience when visiting service Ontario location in Toronto. Lack of customer care and slowness is always a problem. Had a chance to visit Ajax location for my address change. Sabrina provided ROCKET services. Within few minutes she completed all driver licenses, health card and vehicle ownership. Not only me but all customer looks happy when leaving her counter.

They sent me to the main office in Whitby to get a new sticker for my car, the main office sent me back, I'm here right now again. While you're reading this review, I am still probably driving back and forth, helpless and with my sticker expired, trying to get the correct service. So frustrating, I hope I don't get a ticket in the meantime.

Even though it says they close at a certain time, get there at least half hour prior. They lock the doors waaaay before they officially close.

Not sure about the service since I went their by mistake (was supposed to go to service Canada). Service seemed quick. Was there @8: 55 (5 mins before opening) on a Friday. Was at the counter by 9: 05. There were about 10 ppl ahead of me (attached pic taken 2 mins before opening)

I visited this service canada for the 1st time, and got a bad service, I went to renew my sin number. I actually was at a wrong service center, but then I asked one if the employee to help me, instead, firstly she replied rudely secondly when I asked for help she asked me to Google which sounded disrespectful

I have been going to this office for about 20+ years. They have always been great. They work quickly. If there is a line up, it goes fast. They are very helpful, never a problem.

The service at this location is super fast and within minutes your needs are met and you are on your way.
The staff are polite and address any concern you may have.
They are never rude
I drive 15 minutes from scarborough just for this

Very surprised by the higher then average reviews on here for this place. They are severely understaffed. I showed up today and there were 24 people waiting out the door. By the time I was served, it was 2 hours later and I noticed only 2 out of the 8 kiosks with attendants working. There are no places to sit, no pens to fill out forms, and the employees walk around in crop tops, flip flops and shorts like they're at the beach or at home. This place is also NOT wheelchair friendly. I had to help a woman on a wheelchair into the building because there was a 3 inch step that her wheels were caught on. There is no way anyone with a walker or a wheelchair can enter the premises without help from a patron or staff. Once beings served, the staff was friendly and courteous, but at that point I really didn't care after standing in the sun for 2 hours. I inquired about the empty kiosks that were not staffed, and the attendant told me that at the end of the month they always have a massive influx of people. It blew my mind that they know they have lineups out the door at the same time every month and yet not adjust their staffing accordingly. You'd think the government would have some standards when they award service ontario contracts to private businesses like this. There must be some entity that governs businesses like this. I'll be filing a complaint and will start with the fact that this place has only one handicap parking spot and is not actually wheel chair accessible.

Sabrina was a pleasure to work with as we navigated the plating requirements and fees for our new car. She was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the entire encounter. She patiently answered all our questions, explained the processes clearly when we were confused, and accurately guided us through all the required forms and applications. We attended the Service Ontario Ajax office to process address changes as we are moving and had other matters to resolve. The customer service officer Sabrina who handled to our matter was professional, efficient and knowledgeable. She clearly explained everything to us and even pointed out that my license needed to be renewed which she also completed. We had several questions regarding other issues and Sabrina answered them all with the utmost patience. Sabrina’s personal brand is one based on providing excellent service in a timely and efficient manner with a smile. Sabrina, thank you for the legendary customer experience.

As long as you come prepared and your polite and respectful the staff here deserve that, they will get you in an out in a flash!

Ive been coming here for 2 decades. The ladies are often very nice, talkative, friendly sometimes even flirty LOL but often, especially more so now, they are stressed and understaffed and sometimes this stress can cause them to seem a bit harsh or rude. But i think thats due to solely because of the stress and they arent really like that all the time. Lineups can be horrendous and stretch into the parking lot. So be prepared for that.

The line up was a bit long, but that is to be expected these days. The service was excellent. I was expecting to be running around getting papers signed, but the young lady behind the counter really stepped up and helped me out getting things set up fast and efficiently. It was a real pleasure talking to someone that really knew what they are doing.

I just returned some plates recently, we had to wait in line for 10 minutes but once we got to the teller, it was done in like 30 seconds! They're quite efficient at this location in the 3 or so times i have been. WOuldn't hesitate coming here for service ontario related tasks.

My license had a misprint and I was instructed by the ministry’s helpline to come here to get it fixed. Initially when I explained my situation to the lady at the counter, she automatically tried to charge me $36 for an error that was caused by their own machine. I asked for her name and her supervisor’s contact info and that prompted her to get the issue corrected. Very funny experience but overall I was able to successfully argue my case and get the correction done free of charge.

Terrible customer service and overall unpleasant experience but they got the job done.

If there's an award for excellence in customer service, these gals deserve it, period. (So does the fine women at Port perry Office). I always go here and direct friends and family to this office. Recently for my friend, they went above and beyond, fighting for us with their back office and saved us a lot of money and hard ship and grief. They didn't have to do that.in fact, no one would do that. But these fine women went above and beyond to help my friend and made our day with their kindness and compassion coz they also believed that my friend was right. People who are in the service industry have a lesson or ten to learn from them. God bless them all. A very positive experience, every single time. Keep it up gals.

There's always a line up, but, it moved rather quickly, and I was out of there in less than five minutes.

My NIGHTMARE of a time trying to get my D license back is over. I was downgraded to a G due to a lady's error at the office in Bowmanville last July. After many, many phone calls, visits to different offices, waits and even a second drivers medical yesterday, that wasn't in fact needed, I've been upgraded. So thankful for the great help from Dianne at this branch, and help from Jane at the Peterborough Drive Test. They were friendly and competent. Too bad I hadn't gone to see them in the first place. It would have saved me over $600 in lost pay and gas, plus another medical.not to mention the time and stress, as I need the D classification for work. Thanks again ladies!

Big lineup outside about 20 people, but they got through the customers fairly quickly. Very efficient and quick service for my particular requirements, very friendly staff.

My Girlfriend went to this MTO Office today at about noon, and had a very pleasant encounter with one of the ladies working.

They made it really easy for my girlfriend to register and plate our newly purchased truck, and offered great and efficient customer service!

I moved from Toronto where I used to take a day off to renew my license mainly because I could never guarantee how long it would take once I'd actually driven there. For people living in Ajax, this is extremely convenient. I have never been more than 15 minutes at this location. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful.

All things being considered for the times we live in things move well here. Luckily there is enough space to allow people to wait inside

Great staff, very helpful and patient! Parking lot is a little rough but you can usually find parking right in front of the building. Great auto mechanic in back of their building complex!

Really great place. Fast friendly and knowledgeable people. Always doing there best to guide you through the web of government policies.

Three times I came here in a span of a few days and nothing but praise for the staff. I came at the right time each time and was met with courteous and helpful staff. I had to come back a few times because drivetest had a hiccup in putting an exam I took in the system.

The drive to the place took me longer (6 mins) than completing the process (little over 3 mins). Going on a weekday helps. Excellent staff.

Went in to renew my driver's license, which already failed to come in the mail. Received a letter stating that the photo quality had n issue and I would need to come back in to take the picture. Called in to ask how this is possible when the lighting and camera are always the exact same, and the employee reviews the picture before sending it off, and was met with a rude rebuttal, wherein I was told to go to another service center if I wanted a better result.

Brutal service. Worse employee-customer communication. Go to another Service Ontario center and save yourself the wasted time.

In and out in 10 minutes when I registered my first ever car! Not sure about the people who complain there is a long wait time but weekdays at 11am-1pm is the best time to get your job done ASAP! So glad to have this location so close to my home. It’s honestly a relief.

Worst customer service. Every single employee here is racist and lacks decency. Customer service at its worst!

One of the best i have ever visited. Quick and to the point. If you get there just at the opening time then there will he minimum waiting time. Had a great experience.
