Outstanding Service and Genuine Care

I recently visited this location and was blown away by the exceptional service and genuine care provided by the staff.
I am sorry, that I cannot recall the name of the woman who assisted us but She went above and beyond to assist me and my cousin answering all my questions and providing valuable information.her dedication and friendly attitude made a lasting impression.

Rude and ignorant and ill-informed staff. To apply for a health card had to go back there three times and were not accepting my documents. Took the very same documents to another location and had my application processed in 7 minutes! Save your time, respect yourself and choose another location!

Rude and ignorant staff. Dont treat immigrants, elderly or pregnant people with respect. Just want to clear the line as fast as possible. Lazy staff.

This little Service Ontario office is great. It does everything you need it to do (renewals, updates, first time applications etc). The staff is charming and helpful. Two things to note: you can't book an appointment online for this location, it's walk-ins only (as of May 2023). When you go to the website, you won't be able to find this location in the appointment booking section since it doesn't show up at all. Finally, since the office is relatively small, it can get filled up quickly (queues). It can handle about 20 people standing in a queue line at once (there are 7 tellers operating at once), however if there's more people, the queue line will have to go around and it will bleed through getting very close to teller number 6 on the other side and it'll slightly block the entrance door.the problem with this is that in this office they have a rule that no person is allowed to be on that side nor blocking the entrance (fire hazard perhaps?), and this creates an issue as it's very difficult to squeeze in on the other side when there's lots of people. There was an incident today (cause I was there renewing my license) where an angry older obese white man was standing close too close to the entrance so he was told to move to the other side by the staff, unfortunately there wasn't space for him to be on the other side, so he got frustrated at those instructions and engaged in an argumentative yelling match with the staff members. Ultimately a scene was caused while all of the patrons (about 30 in total) stood quietly watching this back and forth screaming. It was unfortunate but I see both sides of the argument. The gentleman man decided to leave and drive to another Service Ontario because of this incident. Point is: be prepared to handle this when/if you come here. There may be lots of people in queue and you may get confusing instructions so just bear with it until you can handle your business. Wait time is not bad at all. When I got there on a Tuesday morning (after Victoria Day), there were 20+ people in front of me and it only took me 45min in total to get my driver's license renewed. The 7 tellers working simultaneously help with the speed of the queue.

This place full of show off. They act like they're running the country. Very rude no respect for citizens. I have no idea how their still working with attitude. I will never go back. Always full of attitude. They should know their salary coming from us. They should learn how to talk to people. Soo rude.

The angry, old hag of a woman who yells at people in line randomly and uses aggressive hand gestures from time to time as said by other people is factual! Experienced it myself as I went to renew my documents. The line was small, but the people working there were extremely slow and incompetent, as a result took forever! Then the hag among the hags, who I assume is the manager as she doesn't serve the people herself, starts shouting and throwing her hands around to scream at people to stand outside! I was pretty traumatized tbh.
I gave two stars because the lady who served me was very nice & polite, sweet, and probably the only one there with proper mannerisms! She's is in the chair from the left with the first white background for photo purposes.
As for the rest, they should be fired for being abusive and incompetent towards the people that actually pays for their salaries, benefits and vacations with their taxes. But that's probably never gonna happen, and you know it why.

Eeks this place scares me! Go to the Service Ontario located at 1811 Danforth Ave. Faster service no lines and no attuide. If you guys have complaints call the Service Ontario and file a compliant. This location I noticed is old and run down maybe they need to go to another location in the area bigger location and more csr desks are needed to handle the influx of customers. Extend your hours no one works 9 to 5 anymore.

Incompetent, lazy and slow! It's like the workers are in a vacation & know they will be overpaid doing bare minimum & never get fired, and people who pays the taxes to fund them waits in a small line for hours on end while they gossip, work slower than a moth and have fun among themselves!
These people would surely get reprimanded if it was a private company, but instead the Government purposefully hires them and takes more taxes from us to overpay them for not doing their job! Shame.

I want to thank the staffs who helped my mom renew her ont id, she had leg & spine issue couldn't stand long and there were only 2 chairs and lots of ppl, the place was busy at the time, the staff helped my Mom patiently& asap, and they also have computer problem at the time, hopefully they could place more chairs for ppl had accessbility problem in the future.

Applied for Photo ID. Be prepared to wait outside for at least 30mins (highly suggest to bring an umbrella during summer) and inside for about 10mins. Once you get inside, you can see that they’re processing people efficiently. I saw people with disabilities were accommodated well. I had to go back cos I didn’t know I needed to surrender my driver’s license issued by my home country but if you can go back the same day, they can give you a number so you don’t have to line up again. ID will be mailed within 4-6weeks. Queue outside was pretty short when I left around lunch time.

I had the lady at counter 7 and I'm not sure if it was a different person than previous reviews had, because the lady I had was wonderful! I was changing my name, and she reminded me I had to do it on my vehicle permit as well, and waited while I ran out to my car to grab it. It was about a 20 minute wait in line, I got there at 4pm on a Tuesday and was out at 4: 45pm. Guy at the door/directing the line was hilarious.

5 years apart in visits, and I still can't get my OHIP renewed here. Staff are pleasant enough, but the bureaucracy is staggering.

I witnessed that employees (two lady in counter 1 and 7 respectively) increased their voice and used aggressive hand gesture to public because they thought office was so crowded and some people should wait outside. People just shocked against this inappropriate manner of those two ladies. They should inform people in more calm way as we all are civilized people at the end. Also after reading other comments it didn't suprised me some other people complained about counter 7 too. Shame for this beautiful city and its nice folk.

Not sure if I just stepped through a portal into a different multiverse or not. Either that, or the staff here didn't get the memo that all government service centers are supposed to be mean, un helpful and take hours out of your day.

Got here at 10.30 and walked straight up to the counter (there was about 5 people working there). Immediately greeted by a smile and.get this.some laughter. I am importing two vehicles from the US with British drivers licenses, so certainly not the usual cliental they would normally get. Supervisor came over to help sort through the mountain of papers I had and was super helpful also.advised me to fill out a form that she had highlighted the sections for me and told me what I needed to bring when I come back tomorrow. I came ready for 4 hours waiting around and this was over in minutes and with a smile on my face. Bravo.

Had a very bad experience today with the staff here. There was a spelling error on my Driver's license and the staff here did not even agree to see it. Infact the Driver test website mentions clearly that they accept COPR along with a passport copy. As I have not yet received my PR card I informed them that I have my passport and COPR. However they kept insisting that they needed a PR card for the name change. When I showed them what was written on the website they told me very rudely that here only PR cards are accepted and asked me to go elsewhere. I then visited Service Ontario at Don Mills and the staff there was extremely helpful. They called the head office and made the changes immediately. While they too informed me that a PR card was needed but they took the effort of calling the head office. Also the staff at the Don Mill outlet was very helpful and kind unlike the staff at O'Connor who were extremely rude and not helpful at all.

Counter 7 is extremely rude and unprofessional. I came to Service Ontario to pick up forms. Before I could even finish my sentence, the lady cut me off and said "We don't have that here" and gave me a phone number to call.

Clearly she was not interested in assisting me, so I requested to speak to someone else. The other lady, counter number 3 told me "Whatever she told you is what I'm going to tell you".

Frustrated, I then called the number provided to me. They confirmed with me that Service Ontario has the forms, and I can pick them up there.
Wasted an hour lining up just to be refused service.

The entire office is staffed by Karens, and it isn't uncommon to hear them raise their voices at other people looking for help. It honestly feels like an episode of Mean Girls in there. Approximately 4/7 people that approach the counters leave unsatisfied. I am left wondering why these ladies decided to become public servants if they're not interested in serving the public?

Very rubbish service.

My wife landed on May 9. I was there for health card with all the documents they asked me to give address proof and advised to provide bank statement with address in it.

Today my wife went there with address proof with bank statement of April 22, now they said we need bank statement after May 09.

As you know, that can not be available until May end then why you are providing such a false information on first visit.

They currently have a capacity of 5 customers in line at a time in store. Not too many people working here. Two staff on a weekday midday working to get people through so there's a pretty long wait time here.

We went first thing in the morning. Wait wasn't bad at all. Staff is very helpful, patient and accommodating. They lines go pretty quick but I would definitely recommend going earlier then later.

Worst experience I’ve ever had after landing 2 years in Canada. I’m in a trauma of feeling am I in Canada? I’ll take today’s experience to a formal complaint. The supervisor has the ugliest behaviour.
Those who are looking for a service, this is NOT a government organization. This is franchise on behalf of Ontario Govt. Stay away from this location. Such a bad experience.

I visited to replace damage number plate. Long line up due to restrictions over 45 minutes wait. Inside only two customer service window were severing out of five. Although those were quick and efficient.

I was surprised how quickly A-line of over 50 people moved. I was out of service Ontario in less than an hour. The gentleman I dealt with was very professional and efficient. Overall it was a very pleasant experience At the location on oconnor at Victoria park.

And to all those who swear and people here and complain about standing in a line

Please understand They work tirelessly for easing our lives and they have to follow the government protocols if you don't want to stand in a line come at 7 am and chill to be the first one in the line DON'T SHOUT AT SERVICE ONTARIO EMPLOYEES PERIOD.

They are doing their best under the circumstances, considering the regs imposed on them by the government. Maximum number of people inside means the others wait outside. Only 2 chairs inside, not allowed to move them. You must stand on the designated stickers on the floor. All managed by the boss woman who is like the air traffic controller.
Once you get to the clerk it's ok, but no chit chat. It's all efficiency because there's a long line behind you.
It's the office on O'Connor, my favourite.
Would give them 5 stars if they opened at 9am instead of 10am.

The ladies working there are super awesome and helpful and the guy maintaining rules and regulations was super nice as well, we had the lady who had short blond hair and on point make-up and a great positive attitude

Got there a little after opening, about 10: 15 and there was a significant line, but it moved pretty quickly and I only waited about a half hour or so to get in. Right now only 10 people are allowed in the building at a time and social distancing is in place outside and in. Staff was very friendly and professional and got things done for me really quickly. Overall one of the better ServiceOntario interactions I've had.

I was not happy with the service. The lady at the counter was yelling at me for no reasons and then it looks the manager came up to and started explaining in the rude manner. Very disturbing they behave like that. While waiting in the line i see the manger telling everyone to stay apart but meanwhile he is padding everyone on the back. He has no idea wat he is doing.

Very warm greeting from a super kind lady she got swapped out.the replacement welcome person (distinct Spanish accent)
Forced us into a separate line for service. All we got was arrogance and a dismissive attitude. Service ontario employees should not assume we don't understand legislation. The three levels of government should figure this out and have their employees act accordingly.
Shame on civil servants for being presumptious and insulting. Service ontario employees need to communicate with their municipalities to make sure one hand knows what the other is doing. Magically with harmony they would both wash the face.

My first visit was discouraging only because the representative made me look to not have the needed documents available. My second visit and with a different representative went awesome, with the only concern right now is: my health card is taking long to be delivered. However, maybe the delay or long wait is from the Ministry of Health or the health regulatory body and not the Service Ontario I visited; also, it might be my request is in a queue.

4 and a half stars. Considering the circumstances. Line up was quite long when I arrived at ten after ten but was in and out in less than an hour. Door lady was very pleasant. 5stars for her. BUT the lady at the window could have been a little more cheerful. All an all great experience

Terrible service. Was refused service because I had a printed copy of my lease. When I spoke to the lease company, they said that the copy should work and never had problems. I tried having them speak with service Ontario but they told me I'm not allowed being on my phone. What they neglected to understand is that it's 2021 and we're in the middle of a pandemic so I can't go to the leases offices to have them sign the document. Anyways, i went to another location and they accepted the same documents with no questions asked because they're not living in the 20th century.

The woman at the desk was not helpful at all and very rude but the manager was extremely nice. He was the only positive experience from this place

Very efficient and friendly despite the stress of Covid and rude people who don't understand only so many people are allowed in the building at a time so you have to wait outside.

Wait time to get in during Covid actually wasn’t that bad.
The person who helped me could have been more knowledgeable. I also tried to pay off one of my fines and was told unless I was paying everything I couldn’t pay anything. Doesn’t make much sense to me.
The manager eventually came over and then he directed the staff to give me information of a third party company to get answers that Service Ontario should be able to answer. Seemed very suspect.

Terrible service at this location. The guy at the reception was very rude and was trying to reject my request incorrectly. After I argued, he talked with his manager and processed my request reluctantly. I would recommend to avoid this location.
