My recent visit to the Service Ontario centre was at counter Number 5. I interacted with a black lady, approximately 50-60 years old, who seemed to display signs of dissatisfaction and appeared unresponsive to greetings. Her demeanor conveyed a sense of fatigue, which made the interaction less welcoming. As a result, I found the experience at that particular counter less than satisfactory. I advise exercising caution and exploring other service counters for a more positive and efficient experience at the centre. "

Super looong wait times. Only 2 folks at the counter taking their sweet own time. Came here for a UVIP have been waiting for almost 2 hours. Will stick to other locations next time.

Abysmal service outright denial of OHIP to a Canadian born citizen, despite producing all the documents. Now they want to see bank statements, a complete invasion of privacy. I watched all kinds of people on visas, who aren’t even Canadian walk up and get health insurance in two minutes or less while I languished for hours with all of my documents in hand. Contact your member of parliament to make these autocrats accountable. I have. In addition, I barely recognize my country or Saint Catherine’s anymore. I was stepping over homeless people and drug addicts that line Saint Paul Avenue. Welcome to Canada.

Went back for the second time and the service was just as amazing as the first time! Really great experience, got called up as soon as I got there and everything was sorted out in less than 15 minutes.

1st experience- Amazing service, extremely helpful staff members, took 15 minutes to get everything sorted.

I went there for applying my health card, it was 4: 50 pm and they were closing in 10 minutes but CURTIS helped me to apply my health card, what a service by him. I usually dont review but i cant stop myself from posting this. Keep up the good work man and thank you for your help.

Totally time wasting place, won’t come at this location, staff has no information at all. Please improve it.

I arrived with an appointment and there was nobody there. The staff was very kind and helpful. The process last like 15 minutes. Thank you for a great experience.

I went there on Wednesday morning 9 AM. Reception lady was welcoming and same as the officer who helped me through application. I was out in 15 minutes with no appointment.

Kelly was super helpful, patient and polite. I was misinformed about the documents to bring in with me but she was very accommodating and patient with me while i struggled to look for a document. She made my customer service experience very pleasant And smooth. I couldn't have done my application without her excellent service i almost gave up and rescheduled my appointment but she gave me options on how to ago about and in the end it turn out successfull. Thank you so much Kelly. Hope you get recognized for you amazing services:)

I have been to this location twice now, and my experience was very positive both times. The team was very friendly and helpful, and the wait time was short. And from what I overheard while I was there a few days ago my experience was shared by others. I'm sure there are busy times at every location, but I will continue to use this one whenever I need to go in person.

Thank you to my service representative Curtis. He helped me navigate the issues with my ID and helped me resolve it. I felt so bad that he had to go through so much work but eventually we got everything straightened out and he remained pleasant and helpful the whole time. My experience was great. I was scared to go in after the negative reviews but I did not encounter anything wrong with the place. There were only 4 counters functional but the counter guy was really nice and patient with me even though I stuttered and couldn't say some things properly. It took me just 10 minutes to get my photo card process done. It was as easy as it gets. 5/5 for my experience.

The customer service is excellent! Very fast and efficient. Security guard Mark is awesome! Helped me so much!

The best thing about this center is Mark!
I found out that technically he doesn't work for Service Ontario and that's a shame!
I was there with my elderly mother and he could not have been more helpful.
Others could learn a lesson from his customer service.
A real gift to you.

Worst experience ever, terrible service from the staff and security. The receptionist saw my documents and gave me a form to fill and sent me to a counter. Its at the counter, the employee did not seem to help me in anyway and kept telling me to visit ministry of health website to know about the documents I need to get, despite the fact that the receptionist found the documents okay. The person at the counter was rude and did not seem to help at all as he was lazy enough not to work at the end of day and came up with dumb excuses to reject my documents. The security guard was awful too as he insisted me to leave the building and stand in the cold while I was waiting for my ride. I would never go back to this place nor would encourage anyone to visit this place

The security guard is so rude and not willing to even listen to you. He should be trained on how to behave with people first. I try to do everything online just so i dont have to deal with him.

The old security guy was so rude for no reason and it was a waste of time. It is called Service Ontario for a reason.to serve the public.not to be rude and obnoxious.

Smooth and fast. This was much better than the Brampton one I'd been last year. Literally all 9 counters are operational.

I made an appointment to get my License stickers renewed. The staff was very efficient friendly and courteous. I got there a little early and was done and out before my 11AM appointment time. I won, t do it any other way now
They were great.

Service very poor from rep. Took very long, asked for more documents than required, changed dates on form withour asking for more proof and when questioned and proof provided, threatened waiting longer and residency being questioned. I had to escalate to manager to get date changed to original.waiting over 20 min for manager to complain

Best and fastest ServiceOntario location in the whole Niagara Region. We imported a car from US to Canada and had to change Texas title to Ontario, also change of owner from my name to my wife's name. They changed my USA car registration to the Canadian, with owner change, without any fuss. Also applied for first health card as Permanent resident in 20 minutes.

Worst customer service! The staff members are extremely rude and not helpful nor are they interested in sorting problems out to make it easier for people during this time.of lockdown. In fact, they are more busy chatting and gossiping! Not helpful staff at all.lacking customer service, customer satisfaction and ethics!

Fast service, friendly staff, at the main door the security will ask you few questions regarding covid for everyone safety:)

I came at 9: 55, they let me comeback 10: 30, didn’t give me any tag. When I came back they send others in said I need wait till 11: 30 and said I just came at 10: 30

Service Ontario decided to close all of the locations in Niagara forcing people to drive over an hour to the closest open location, wait a day or more in line for something that is considered an essential service. If you are essential then stay open.

I've been to welland, fort erie, st.catharines and port colborne and also on the phone with all of them, spent over 5 1/2 hrs.trying to get answers to see if i can purchase plates and register my new used truck with NO Luck at ALL. Thanks Service Ontario.

So Service Ontario decided to only open 1 of its branches during the pandemic - which makes a lot of sense because everyone in the area can go crowd that one place and wait in line in negative temperatures. #facepalmingsohard

Horrible service, long wait times and staff doesn't seem to want to help at all with any questions.

Typed in open locations. It gave me a list called fonthill, welland, port colborne which it states all open. They are all closed.

COVID-19 HOURS UPDATE - May 04,2020

Arrive at 8: 00am to get an appointment slip, then come back at the time you're given. If you show up during their open hours, they will turn you away without an appointment!

I went in to the St. Paul street location today to discuss my drivers license. Very knowledgeable staff. I suggest actually going into a location rather than talking on the phone. They actually look at your account rather than general knowledge stuff said over the phone. Thanks R and CH.

Not sure why this place is rated so low?
I've been here twice over the last year.
The front desk usually resolves my query quickly & efficiently. If not, one of the other staff does. Today I was in & out in less than 10 mins!

Super friendly, efficient, and patient staff. Also, the facility is much nicer than going to the crammed location on Scott.

Super service! What a warm welcome to Ontario. They were very helpful getting everything we needed, OHIP application, license plates, directions to driver's test for drivers licenses. SO much better than the Q province experience. Had an appointment, but didn't need it they took us right away. Thank you!

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff members. The service was very quick. Went to apply for a health card and was out of the Center within 10 mins. Keep up the good work

At the reception a lady who was working and had kind of darker skin was very unkind I will go for another place next time if I have to

Everytime I went in I was told to bring in a new document for my health card renewal. After calling in OHIP helpline all that documentation was unnecessary. Still I was told that they can't renew my health card to the current date and gave me documents stating benefits starting 3 months from now. Everytime I got a new reason for not getting the benefits right away, it felt that none of the associate even tried to do anything when I was eligible as per the OHIP helpline customer service. Anyone who is on a work permit, please drive to any other location, as you are not getting what your right is.

I visited this office for information on my OHIP, there is one female staff member who was exceptionally rude to me and I noticed she treated most of the staff and the other patrons with a very rude tone. She apparently has never been given coach ing on customer service and while those skills were poor she also seemed ignorant of OHIP regulations. I’m so surprised she hasn’t been fired. Her name was something like a mermaid or cartoon character it suited her. Beware of this office bad information and terrible service.
