I went here, I couldn't get service because they were very busy and understaffed so I went to Waterloo's location and got instant service.

This has happened more than once. Why is the Kitchener location only staffed as much as the Waterloo location when need is much higher?

Went to renew my health card.
I know I was late to renew my health card due to some very personal reasons.
The lady in counter 2 was so interrogative.
My health card, my issues. Who are you to question.
Your job is to renew my health card and if I am late tell government to put a fine so people know to renew before any dead lines.
You are just an employee and your job is to renew. Not to interrogate. She did that on purpose because we are brown and they know we will listen without answering back. I dare her to do this to any white person. Racist. If there is no dead line by the government to renew the health card and the person has their personal reaons who the hell are you to lecture or ask? Let the government deal with it. She needs to go through her job responsibilities again. If you can’t handle immigrants or cultural diversity in your job then quit. Because the person standing in front of you is a respected person too. I am a health care worker and look she treated me like a high school kid. Disgusting. No wonder the rating and review sucks on their website. But no one does anything.

I went there & booked an appointment, then come 1 hour later at my appointment time. Then also I was sitting for an hour for my chance.

Service Ontario really need to work on their appointment system as compared to walk in system, Time is precious for everyone.
After getting my chance, it takes very quick to get my thing done.

I went to Duke street Service Ontario to renew my health card, and since we have a work permit, we need to show proof of employment, but the lady at counter 1 refused without looking at my employment letter and said, "You need a different document proving you are a full-time employee. "
I had everything in my document (my employer details, hours, job title, contract information, start/end dates, pay slips, etc.). This lady (the one who issuing tokens before sending to the actual counters) will do everything in her power to not help you.
Her attitude was so arrogant and rude.

Employees here have 0 I mean zero knowledge. I came here for health card renewal. Had an appointment, still waited for 4 hours and then lady at counter says that your employment confirmation letter does not have mentioned full time. I told her and showed her that it’s clearly written that 42.5 hours per week but she said she wants written full time as she does not know 40 hours or more is full time. Waisted whole day, came back frustrated.

Extreme wait time and even then they couldn't serve me. I waited an hour and then they said we cannot serve u because we are closing now.

I would have given this place zero star if possible.booked my appointment at 10: 05 am.i reached here at 9: 33 am.got my ticket and went for washroom thinking that I had time.i cam back at 9: 50 am.waited till the apointment time.when it passed and i didnt get called I try to asked 3 ladies in a row about the situation.the last one finally told me that becoz i got my ticket at 9: 33 they must have annouced it before the appointment time.i tried to explain them that i thought i would have to come back before apointment time but she said i need to wait till she call my number again.i waited till 10: 42 and i just grabbed a new non appointment ticket becoz it clearly didnt seem like they were going to calling me soon as people who came after me without any apointment were going ahead of me. Now.all i say is that these lady should have actually just toldme that i needed to grab a new ticket if she wanted to help.instead of telling me to wait.i am writing this at 11: 28 am.waiting for my non apointment number.which is H044.while the current serving number is H034.and no call for appointed number obviously.

This is the worst service ontario I've ever been to. It's been over 2 hours and I'm still waiting, there isn't enough seats at all, plus there is a man singing jingle bells over and over for over an hour and no one has said a thing to him. I cannot believe this is actually happening right now its unreal.

Around 50 people waiting to get there documents and they are only calling on 3 people with 7 desk available. Wow lm going to be here for a very long time

Unpleasant experience at this service ontario while I was there to apply for a health card. You wait for two hours and then they say your employment letter is not recent dated. Kindly update this information on your website so that we are aware what’s needed exactly.

Definitely 5 star review I been having issue with service Canada.sara was very helpful and fixed all my issues the same day she explained everything to me very well I recommend this location

I don't normally go out of my way to leave reviews for a government place but the people who work here (Sara to be specific) are the nicest people ever! They are so emphatic and understanding and ensure you leave with a solution. If they can, they will ensure you get what you came in to get! Never have I come across government employees that want to help so much! Be kind to them and they will be kind to you as well!

Side note: book an appointment in advance saves you a lot of time!

Super quick, had an appointment at 12pm, reached at 11: 58am. Completed the process in just 3 min.
By the way it was huge line up for walk in, highly suggest to book an appointment.

Today one white lady at counter 3 at 9: 15 am who served me was really rude. I visited service Ontario duke street kitchener to get my driver’s license history. It was the first experience I faced something like this at this centre otherwise other staff members are really helpful.

Reach early office hours IF you are applying for new health Card as a Foreigner worker (means you are having proper work permit for Canada). Take the "Verification of Employment" from your employer that describes the "must" details mentioned in the Employment Proof Guide (attached). Gentle staff will help you as well.

Not very helpful with the documents required for services. A lot of things depends on representative’s discretion so you might need to visit again and again to get a service.

Get your appointment beforehand to avoid long waiting time. The staffs were super friendly and helped with all of my concerns.

Make sure you book an appointment online before you go. This can save you up to 2hours wait time. That's how much time it saved me. The lady (Lori) that helped us was great. Asides wait time, awesome service
