Booked for an appointment here at 8: 30 on a blue Monday. There were three counters open and only a few clients at that time. Finished my application and all the paperwork for under 10 minutes. The document was mailed after 2 weeks.

I booked an appointment at this location to be on time for work. This is my 2nd day coming here to change the address on a vehicle permit, which should take only a few mins. Awful service. Only one lady is servicing customers and two other ladies are chatting and joking around. Absolutely no customer service. There were 10+ people in the queue for one person to serve. Choose a different location if you want to get things done faster.

Booked my appointment ahead of time for 8: 40am to make sure I get this done before my work starts at 9: 15am. There were only 2 employees serving all others were showing up on their own time. I did not got the chance get my renewal done even after doing my due diligence, booking my appointment, being there on time!

I went yesterday (Monday) to apply for OHIP and I booked at 10am, there’s only a couple of people and soon as I got my number I was immediately called and processed. The lady was so nice and she thoroughly explained everything I need to know about renewing OHIP or in case I change my workplace or update my work status. It was also very quick.

I was surprised to be treated bad and resist by one of the officer in this department number 18 seat you are very bad guy, for sure tomorrow I will go to resing this problem to the management I have evidence videos and Audio two days + you are refusing to renew my health car without no reason send me home two days to bring bank statement when I have my previous health card as well as my Ontario Driving license I never change the address the place I live here it's my own house this is not right service, we are pay taxes why discrimination everyone should be treated equally and by following the duties and responsibilities and obay the laws of Canada being black or brown Asian it's not problem we all Canadian why this much division

I just spoke to an representative over the phone. I wish i had her name and badge number because she was so rude to me! First of all, there are so many options to go through- I needed to speak to someone about my Ontario photo card. She was a representative for the health care, she made me explain my photo card issue to her 3 times before directing my call to the photo card representative. The rude part from the call, was when i told her i did not receive my card in the mail because the representative who did my application put the wrong address on my application, this representative i spoke to today on the phone said with a huff "well you should have checked that before leaving the service Ontario centre". Her whole attitude on the call was rude like you are bothering her for calling in. She's awful! After I spoke with the Ontario Photo Card representative, he didn’t listen to my question and give misinformation.

I went for my healthcard all staff members were friendly and helpful.service is also good only sometime it gets little more busy.the only thing i dont like is there were no wifi internet for guests.

Waited like 1 hour for the health card appointment, it’s great when you have 21 counters but 3 are open it’s actually hilarious.

Employees working at this location fits the stereotypical image of completely useless good for nothing racist government employee. No empathy was shown. I would advice to go to any other service Ontario location. Worst experience I've ever had with service Ontario center.

I booked an appointment 20 minutes before i got there, and got called not a minute after my booked time slot. Was in and out within 15 minutes while i saw about 30-40 people seated still waiting, with about 5 more lining up to check-in that hadn't booked an appointment. The executive assisting me mentioned those that walk-in, are the least of their priority because of the volumes of requests they deal with. And they close their doors at 5. Doesn't matter if you waited hours in the office having walked in. They WILL and SHOULD prioritize those that book in advance and show up on time.

This location is a joke. So duck everyone at this location

You denied accepting my fathers drivers license because his entry date to canada was after the driver license was issued? Are you that stupd?
Have the common sense and think … no one applies a drivers license every time they enter canada. And then you asked if I “got your point? ”
I said no I did not because that is not how things work on earth, and you accepted the piece of ID as valid? You might have gotten nervous and had no further explanation and issued health card for my father.thank god

For my mothers health card you again cried like a kid. Did not accept the proof of address which was her bank statement. You mentioned that she does not use the card so she cannot prove she has been in canada?

So you are telling me that if I purchased a coffee on her card right before visiting this location you would accept that bank statement? Get a life or get out

Took mother’s file to another location on same day and things got done within an hour

And who the hell are you to ask me why I am in Hamilton for this task while I live in Brampton? I am in Ontario and can visit any location for ANY SERVICE I WANT. This is none of your business

Please remove the pickle that is up your a** and relax. Don’t show your flex to families boy. You are still learning

One of the worst experience I ever had, employees have no empathy and could smell racism while dealing with the people who work there, everyone out there have their own rules and you get different information every time you see someone there. Useless

Don’t waste time arriving before 5 pm. They never close at 5 pm, at 4: 30 pm we have a gentleman really stress out to finish his shift at time, telling to people I can almost warranty you that cannot make your replacement after 4 persons in line, his actitud was just of a person that is not willing to help. TERRIBLE SERVICE!

Horrible Customer service provided by the staff.i went service ontario to get the health card for my six months old child. Security Guard was so rude, He was asking for all the details and documents. I showed him all the documents. The service ontario agent at counter number twelve was so frustrated. She asked for my baby’s documents and i provided the same. She asked for my health card and Since i am on maternity leave she said My son is not able to get the health card. Moreover, she said she is going to cancel my health card too. She cancelled my and my husband’s health card. She did not issue none of us a health card. Next day we visited another office they issued us Health cards.

Got there well within hours and door was locked guy came and said they didn't want to cut it close to quiting time, no humanity.

The typical Government run Service Ontario. They close their doors at least an hour before the official time (reason? - because there's only 1 staff working out of 21 windows). Closed on weekends as well. So, the only option you have is to take an off from your office and go there in the morning hours. And if you are lucky enough your work might get done in a single visit, otherwise best of luck!

Visited office today at 119 king street west for sticker renewal when my turn came to inter to office the security guy says you don’t need till further notice, I told came here all the way and waited for hours to renew the sticker then mto rep.says go online for sticker we don’t do unless it is emergency. You can drive if your health card and driving licence is valid with a valid insurance. At the end I came back like digging in the mountain result the mouse.
All my stickers money gone no refunds so for as province announced for refund of stickers.

Very rude customer service by the person at counter 8. Very disappointed. Happened today. All my documents were ready yet she refused to issue us health card. This is serious and these people should not be hired by service ontario.

I was forced to go there three times until I was able to get my health card, and every single time I was treated with disrespect by the workers, both the guard at the entrance and the counter workers. Very unfortunate that you’re forced to go to their center to issue health cards.

Heads up! They do not do birth certificates but do have the application. You need a birth certificate or a passport in order to get the Ontario ID card (purple). AND THE B. C.has to be mailed in they do not process it on site.

If you are brown, you ain’t getting your work done, they blatantly refused my application for health card, i had all the documents mentioned on their website and also confirmed with their receptionist yet still lady refused my documents, said i need more supporting documents.i guess they don’t like us getting free healthcare.

I went there filled form n it worked in 10 min, the thing is they accept PR card, I don’t think they accept COPR for making health card even for new PR

I had a good experience there, I did 2 services at the same time, I got my health card and my Goverment ID in the same day, it just took me less than 10 min so everything, was very fast!

Okay, I have to admit that my visit today was extremely quick and with no hassle or bother at all and I am unable to say anything poor about the visit. This was by far the best interactions with Service Ontario in my life.

4/5 is strictly because of the complete and utterly horrible location, and lack of parking.

This location offers walk in and appointment. I chose to walk in an hour after they had opened. I was in and out in under 20 minutes. Everyone was super helpful, quick and friendly! Thanks so much guys!

Very rude staff. No customer service whatsoever. Worst attitude of people working here. If this wasn’t the only full service centre in the area, I would never come here. If you cannot understand the employees at once, they roll eyes at you. Hated every second being there.

If you have the required documents and if you have a genuine reason… they will always go out of the way to help you. I am saying this because I had a horrible experience with another gov centre… this one was so so much better

Most efficient and courteous Service Ontario I have ever visited. Also maintained same high quality of service on multiple visits.

The most incompetent and rude staff I've ever dealt with all my life. I wonder if anyone here provides service or just enjoy humiliating applicants. One of the lady had even removed mask when dealing with me. Total waste of time. Will never ever recommend this place to anyone.

Be prepared to be treated like less than dirt here. The front desk lady (like the other bad reviews) was so unnecessarily rude. The lady at the counter was equally as rude, literally turning to her co worker to berate me. Like can you just do your job without the attitude. I guess they can get away with it since all of Hamilton requires their service which is quite unfortunate. I will drive to another city next time. Also, note that I was super polite and did absolutely nothing to provoke them at any point. Good luck.

This particular location is very helpful and patient. The lady I dealt with today for my 3pm appointment was very polite and friendly when dealing with a more complicated matter.

Had a really quick turnaround for my driver licence and healthcard renewal. The location is usually empty, and the wait times are less than 10 mins. Jannen was the lady helped me last time, Kudos to her service

The line was extremely long but they were good at serving people quickly, the woman i dealt with was kind but not very helpful

Rude, inconsiderate and unhelpful staff at the entry as well as service advisors for basic stuff like issue of OHIP cards. The staff and the manager at this center needs to be disciplined or asked to go. Simply unacceptable!

The woman at the reception was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I have been there two times and both of the times it's been an awful experience because of her. She clearly hates her job and also has NO idea what she is doing. In my honest opinion, she really needs to go.ps im only giving a one star because i have to.

Incredibly unhelpful staff. The lady with brown hair at the reception desk refused to accept any of my documents saying they weren't originals even though they all were. She also spent more time berating me for not applying for OHIP even though I had lived in ontario for 2 years than actually helping me.

Terrible customer service! There is this unprofessional lady with dark hair in the reception desk, I think her name is Sue. She shouts at people disrespectfully even if they are not doing any wrong. She excluded me from my partner and we came to get help together and ironically she would let people of non-colour go in pairs. What a time to act inappropriately. Racist!

I visited on 13th May 2020
During these Covid 19 days, they provide time tickets between 8 am to 9am in weekdays and then only they allow us to get in as per the time on your ticket.

Went in during covid with several matters to attend to. I expected long waits and angry staff but they were great and I was so happy that I was in and out within 15 mins.

2.5h wait to get in due to COVID19. They're very helpful and professional but would ask that they open more than 2 desks.

The most unhelpful staff I ever encountered in my life. I am wondering how they get a salary for doing that little work. Two times I had to write complaints about their arrogance. I am sure that there great people among them. I hit only the bad ones. But two over about 5 working there are bad means that they are badly managed.

I have had a wonderful experience each of the few times I have had to visit for transactions. Lovely staff; keep it up!

Second time here at the downtown Hamilton office. Excellent customer service. In and out in less than 10 minutes and they have a washroom.

The staff here have been very friendly over the multiple times we've had to sort out several forms and applications.

I recommend this office. I was in and out in 20 minutes on a Wednesday afternoon. The receptionist and agent were friendly and efficient.

Very slow service. Not enough customer service agents. Seems like they are unsupervised and do not hold any regard for customers waiting.

Some of the most helpful government workers I've ever encountered. I had put off my visit for months, anxious about how it'd be, and they were amazing. Wish I had done it sooner.

I was in and out within 10 minutes, not sure what people are referring too below. The service I received was AMAZING! Some people don't get what they want and don't have proper documentation, instead of owning up and doing the right thing, they post complaints about the staff instead of owning their truth. I had no issues with this location. Go around 2pm, it's empty!

Came in at 8: 30am on Friday because I had work at 9am. Fully expected to be late to work that day I had to renew health and driver's license. I was in and out in 12 minutes! The guy at the counter was quick and knew what he was doing. I didn't even know to fill out the forms before I came and it was still that fast. Well done.

Even if live right next to this building. It's definitely quicker to take a bus to the service Ontario location on upper ottawa or Dundas to get served.

Went on a Thursday afternoon and there was barely anyone there. Everyone was friendly and helpful and I was in and out quickly.

Had horrible customer service from a rude women. Honestly why work around people when your just going to have a bad attitude.

Two ppl working windows today nov 6,2018 and thiers is 21 windows? Dose not make sense to me and the tv in waiting room say 0 waiting time!
