Workers in there have ZERO knowledge of what they are doing.
They're rude and clueless of requirements for any of the services they provide.
They seem to care more about their own private conversations than take care of people waiting.
Asking for a "property" power of attorney for a handicap parking permit? What do one thing have to do with the other?
It's absolutely senseless.
And when you ask why, their response is: sorry, that's what they want.

Make an appointment at North Service rd.by Dorval. I promise you, they won't disappoint you like the Kerr office.

Staff refused to serve me for a health card renewal without appointment despite there was no on in line and walks in are accepted (see all other reviews). The location was empty. EMPTY. And for some reason as soon as I told them it’s for a health card renewal at the booth (there wasn’t even a security guard) they told me to book an appointment online. Ridiculous- so many reviews have walked in experience yet the old lady refused to serve a health card renewal walk in.
Don’t even bother coming here - go to the Service Ontario on North Service Road.

Hello, what is the purpose of subcontracted offices if they refuse to provide the service? I went this office, at Trafalgar in Oakville, and they could not process simple utility trailer registration documents. The clerk did not know basic information, asked me to call the ministry for the correct instructions, which then they refused to follow and instead sent me to “full service” office at Dorval. I arrived at Dorval at 3: 30pm and was told that they will not be able to serve me before 5pm. I was asked to make an appointment, but there are no available appointments for more than a month! This is ridiculous and total failure to provide service.

If Service Ontario was a business they'd be bankrupt! In turn these employees would be in the unemployment line which is where they belong!

I would rate 0 if I can. I don't get why this service Ontario location even exists. For everything you go there they are like "you have to go to the other location, we don't do this here" like what do you do here then? And there was this one lady (big made/white) with such an attitude. I absolutely hate how she talks to people. Woman pls keep your attitude to yourself, if you don't know how to talk to people, just quit. That job doesn't suit you. I completely avoid going to this location specifically because of the terrible customer service.

Bella gave me the best customer service experience. We need more kind people like her to make everyone happy

Went there yesterday, the staff members were very friendly. Especially the lady sits in the middle, very nice and efficient!

Love the team in this specific office, they are extremely friendly, helpful and very patient. I visited the office with my parents inlaw who just landed a couple of days ago, they wanted to get id card and a health card. Ben, Mary, and Amy accommodated my father inlaw who doesn't see at all, in a very human and professional manner. It was extremely challenging for my father inlaw who doesn't see to take the picture and sign, but they were very patient with him

Be prepared to wait for 2-3 hrs no matter what time you come in. The security guards at the door are on a power trip. There is NO logical order of who is in line and who is in front of you. They make it up as they go along. Playing musical chairs on unsanitized seats. It will make sense when you are here. Patients people all around me were getting up and walking away. What a waste of time. Make sure you get here on your day off as they will waste your whole day. Do yourself a favour, choose another location!

The line up depends on when you go it was Moderately long on the Monday morning, and just a few people outside later in the week.

I would give a 0 star if I can. 6 months ago I came to this place to change the home address on my driver's license. The lady who helped me put the wrong apartment number. I caught the mistake right away and asked her to change it to the right one. She was constantly speaking French loud to the other colleagues while doing my case again. Already felt weird thought she was prob.complaining about me. Today I went to another Service Ontario to renew my Health Card and noticed the home address was still wrong in their system! So she was not just being non-respectful but also bad at her job. Shame and would never go back to this place again!

I don’t get why this place is given so many bad reviews. I’m from Oakville and visit this ServiceOntario centre often. All the ladies working there are lovely, especially Ava. For example today she went above and beyond to help me with an issue I had. They are also fast and efficient. A few weeks back the lineup was all the way outside. I was at the counter in less than 20 minutes. I honestly don’t know what’s wrong with people nowadays. All they do is complain. Life isn’t perfect. To the ladies working at this centre - keep up the good work and thank you for always helping with anything and everything!

They should change the name to:
" Unservice Ontario" there are at least 30 standing on line outside. Maybe as much inside?
It's 10: 30 am.do we all loose a work pay or day to do a simple task at a goverment office? Maybe we should wget a rebate for loss wages!

Waited in line for 2 hours to be told that everyone in line can’t get in.i got there at 3pm and everyone before me was waiting 3+ hours.poor girl was working alone so props to her for not yelling back at people yelling at her.

Terrible service. Lady helping me was impatient, and frustrated. I was only there to renew my driving license and to ask a couple questions about wether i can do it online and how it wasn’t working for me. She just was purely unprofessional and did not help at all. She also went out of her way with wrong information. Did not even look at my license. She said it was expired for more than 2 years, I literally had to point out that it has been less than a year and I couldn’t do it because i was out the country. She just ignored what i said. Terrible terrible service.

Staff Not well informed. Not helpful. Did not know the process and provided incorrect information. Immediately went to another location and processed without issue. Training required and better attitudes would help!

Went there on a busy Saturday to transfer my vehicle to my parents. I was kindly welcomed by Mary who was very patient and informative. My parents speak broken English and she took the time to walk them through the process step by step even when people in line were visually impatient. Nothing but great things to say about her!

The assistance I received was top notch. It is sad to see when people raise their voices at staff when it is not their fault. The ladies working today handled it all like champs.

Poor service I visited this branch two times today morning is the last one and I'll not go back to this bad service branch, they just looking for any missing paper the last time I want to issued the health card for my son he is 16 and I pring letter from the land loard and the void check from the bank to explain the address she asked me bank statement or wait the school to open to print the school paper

Worst place ever to renew health card. Lady helping refused to renew my childs health card, sent me to a different Service Ontario was very rude.

I was fortunate enough to be helped by the lady who sits on the left after we enter the location. But I did have a brief discussion with the other one and I agree with everyone here, she is smug and doesn't seem to like her job.
Anyways, getting my card here with the "helpful" lady was a breeze. Did it for myself, wife and kiddo and everyone was greeted in a lovely and welcoming manner!

Cruel letting people wait outside in the cold and why don't they have another employee working

One counter open, 5 people infront of me and the line didn’t move 1 person in 30 ministers. Holy smokes
What a waste of time

Don't try to get your health card renewed here. Refused to accept my hydro or phone bill as valid proof of my address. I don't drive so thats all I had. Gave me know reason and just told me to go away.

4 people inside maximum. Still moved along quickly and efficiently. Try not to go at lunchtime. 12-2.

Extremely poor services, Waited for 45 mins in line for applying for health card, and they just suggested to go another Service Ontario only because my status was work permit.they don't even deserve one star, but there is no other option. Very unsatisfied from the employees behavior.

Nice service. Just my personal experience. I know there are others who had bad experience, I did too, but not this time while I was there.

Got there at 2 had to leave at 245.place is only open 10-3 and still didn't get my health card. Was told at 230 doors close at 3 with only 4 allowed inside.

After waiting in line for quite some time, I was told that my Health Card cannot be renewed here and I should go to North Service Road location, No reason given to explain "why not here".

What a pleasant and wonderful experience I have during my visit at this location and the person for whom i have that experience is none but Bella. She has extra ordinary talent for customer service. She served with respect and smile. My parents expressed their gratitude and wish her all the best in her service life. A BIG applause for Bella!

I was 6th in line from the opening hour at 9. It
took them till 10: 10 to serve me. They have probably 10 workstations but 3 employees only. One of them does dealers only. Staff was nice but understaffed.

This location normally wont take too long to wait if you come around 11: 00 am in work days. They can find a very good lucky number for my new car. Couldn’t be happier

We’ve just moved to the area and we have been to the Cross location twice both in the morning between 9-10am; wait time for both around 10-15 minutes. I’ve been to a few SO locations in Mississauga and Toronto, I always find the person you are dealing with has a lot to do with their personal personality how they connect to you and the community. You know when going to a government service, the going itself can be stressful. This SO Cross location is small, plenty of parking and chairs for those who require. The staff today and about a month ago proved to be friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Our visit was a little long today due to paper work that was required. Even then, the staff (M) was excellent with myself and father. So Today not so stressful to do a few government things. Thumbs Up SO Cross.

Bella was amazing, one of the tellers wouldn’t even try to help me get my health card re-newed. I went over to Bella to ask about it and she was very pleasant and helpful! Got my health + ID card re-newed no problem with the info I had! Much thanks!

Bella is the only helpful one at this location, everyone else doesn’t even try n just wants you out of the line.

I am surprised to say that I had a fabulous experience at ServiceOntario!
There is a woman there, Eva, who was kind, incredibly knowledgeable and so, so helpful. She guided me through a not-common transaction with skill and compassion. I'm really very grateful to her! She's fabulous.

I think I may have arrived at this ServiceOntario location at the wrong time, because there was a bit of a lineup and wait time. However, once I was taken care of, things were fast! I had one of the old Ontario health cards, which I thought would be a bit more involved to transfer over. But to my surprise (compared to past ServiceOntario experiences) the process of renewing my card was not so complicated after all.

Almost 40 people in line and just one staff is working. Been here for more than 1 hour and will be here probably for another 1 hour.

25 people in line, 2 people working and one with a ‘closed’ sign just sitting there. I think this is worse than a government run facility.

Amazing staff, convenient location, easy parking! My wife always gets extremely nervous at Governent offices but today she went alone with my kids and was so happy and satisfied. Mary and Eva explained everything to them, guided them and helped them. They are awesome. Im so glad that we have such good service centres here in Oakville.

Bella and her sister whos name unfortunately I forgot, we're extremely helpful today and practically saved my life and got my car on the road today. I couldn't have done it without all there wonderful help

The staff at the Cross Ave location are always pleasant and efficient with a good sense of humour. I get the feeling that there is a real team spirit in the office. Thank you.

Rude, abrassive and uncompasionate staff. Staff did not give me 1 minute to read all the applicable documentation I could use to renew a health card before rudely brushing me aside after waiting an hour in line. Will be avoiding this location at all costs.

Just renewed my driver's license and health card in less than 5 minutes, including walking in and out. Helpful and professional.

You know it is going to be a long wait when they warn you with a letter indicating so on the front door.

Seriously, if you don’t have enough staff hire more! Don’t make Ontario taxpayers spend their time = money waiting in excessively long lines

Best service Ontario location by far! I am usually in and out within 15 minutes, and when you have an hour lunch break and need to get things done, go to this location.

Usually you deal with very miserable people at service Ontario, not here – ask for Bella and you will get the best customer service from her. She is efficient, friendly, and will have you in and out in no time.

If you can, go to this location:)

Some Service ontario locations doesn't provide health card services, in that case they should place notice for that. It would save people's time by not waiting in the queue for a long time to listen NO!

Went to renew my 16 year old son’s health card at this location and right away was told that he needed his printed report card. She didn’t even give us a chance to tell her that he had his drivers license, passport & a bill proving his residency & citizenship, as per the service Ontario website. I said nowhere does it say that we need is report card only. She kept repeating “yes it does” and ignored us. I was so disappointed at her treatment to us that we just left. I’m now at a Mississauga Centre & had no issues whatsoever about the documents we brought with us. Please have your staff review what is on your website before they accuse you otherwise. She could have had the courtesy to help us but instead wasted hours of our time.

And it seems to be the same lady others here have stated. Lady with dark wavy hair and glasses. It’s a shame since all the reviews for everyone else were so great. That’s why I went here. Wish we had someone else serve us.
