S.H. Armstrong Community Centre

This place is great if your looking for things to do with your kids. Plenty of activities for your little ones, and maybe even a few things that might keep adults entertained.

They offer day camps through Camp T. O. The people running the camps are amazing and really take the time to teach and play with the kids enrolled. They also take them on day trips to the parks in the area, no shortage of activities. They have a full sized gym for basketball or ball hockey.

They got a great indoor soccer going on in the winter and spring season, it's a nice place to play some quick games with people and the cost is $4 per visit. One thing I would recommend is bringing people along because usually it's 4 vs 4, and only 1 team. So if you get their early you can play for a solid 2 hours and get along but many people show up you'll have to split up for rotation.

Wonderful staff! John in the front was super helpful over the phone answering my questions and even calling me back when he wasn’t sure about something. When I got there (not knowing I was the person who called earlier in the day) John was again super kind and helpful. I had trouble finding the pool John leaped out of his desk and walked me down the hall and guided me down the stairs. Great experience

Great staff, great people, great community!
Unfortunately, it pains my heart to see the serious need of funding this community center needs.

They desperately need some new equipment (eg. Basketballs, soccer balls, hockey sticks) and desperately need to re-finish the gym. The floor is absolutely garbage and could even be dangerous for sports.

Remember, centers like these keep our community close and keep our kids off the streets!

I come here to play basketball in their major gym. These guys needs to redo their floors. No grip and very dusty. Can't cut without sliding to the other end of the floor.

Only visited this place for the Christmas market and the market wasn't too bad.small but not bad.
