The Shady Lane employees Allen, Jonny and Aiden were extremely polite and professional in caring out their duties. The work that was carried out on trimming and removing dead portions of the trunk were done very well.
The unexpected cleanup of the debris was done up and above as far as I was expecting.
The three gentlemen should be commended for duties well done.
I would not hesitate to have Shady Lane do more work for me in the future

I have two large oak trees in my back yard (probably close to a century old) that needed to be cleared from my roof and removed of deadwood. Tim (crew leader), Aidan and Keagan were very punctual, friendly and polite. They were very accommodating when I asked for specific branches to be removed. They did a very good job cleaning up the backyard and making sure my porch was clear of debris.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone and would contact them the next time I need my trees pruned and trimmed. Great job guys and thank you (especially Tim) for going out on an extra branch!

Ralph (representative) who came to my house for the initial assessment was very polite, knowledgeable and very punctual. The communication from Kim, the administrative staff who arranged the initial assessment, was very quick and professional (gave me plenty of notice before Ralph came). I was given an appointment very soon after I put in a request. All in all, it gave me the impression they have a very good system set up arranging their staff & work (which gave me better confidence with going with Shady Lane).

Very quick response to our initial inquiry, Arborist met me right away and assessed. I had the proposal in two hours. Adjusted it via email and signed it back two hours later. Crew was on site and did an excellent job just four days later. Recommend them highly.

The workers are professional tree pruners/cutters, they're like ninjas with chainsaws.

Shady Lane was flexible to deliver based on our schedule. They brought a beautiful tree; exactly what we were hoping for and planted properly in the spot we wanted.
Planting process was fine: the crew clearly knew what they were doing and went about it quickly/efficiently.
A little more care could be taken to close the process properly: offer to put in stakes; round the tree with mulch; leave us with some helpful instructions on how to care for the tree properly.
Overall, very happy with the service and outcome!

We have used the services of Shady Lane numerous times over the years. It is a testament to the quality of their work that we continue to value our association with them. The crews always put safety first in their efforts and are technically skillful in addressing specific tasks and in the use of specialized equipment. Always friendly, the office staff and managers respond quickly to any concerns or questions. We are delighted with the final outcome and the new 'look' of our large property. 19 lane way pines have been trimmed, two huge dying Manitoba Maples have been removed and a new Autumn Festive Maple has been planted to begin life anew on our farm. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Mike came over and evaluated my property and the same day sent me a detailed estimate.
After reviewing the quote I decided to proceed. The scheduling team were extremely accommodating. I had requested an early morning appointment and the team that were doing the work showed up on time and were extremely courteous.
The team were Tim and Cameron, they introduced themselves and then proceeded to review the work that was to be done. They took the time to go through exactly what they were going to do.
They worked as a team extremely efficiently and went out of their way to explain some of the issues I was concerned about.
They left my property totally clean and removed all the debris.
They tied my trees up exactly what I wanted and trimmed the trees and the bushes giving them shape. Just a very professional job.

The Shady Lane Team did a great job limbing up and removing dead wood from our overgrown honey locust. Before leaving, the men asked us to view their work to ensure we were satisfied, and when asked to cut back a few more branches, they did so willingly. They also removed the fallen branches and twigs. The men were professional, polite, and thorough. We will definitely call Shady Lane again in future.

I was very impressed with the pruning work Shady Lane did on a number of my trees and revitilizing and old yew hedge. The administrative staff was very accomodating when booking the work and the crew arrived ahead of time and worked diligently to get my huge sunburst locust, katsura, paperbark maple and Bradford Pear properly pruned and balanced. My property is not the easiest to work in as all the trees were underplanted with hundreds of perennials. Ben and Liz were extremely careful when pruning and not a single perennial was damaged. They even cleaned up a bad cut on my large city tree which I have been waiting for the city to come by for over a year. Before leaving they asked me to view their work to ensure that I was completely satisfied. I was extremely pleased with their work and will defintiely call them again. Thank you again Ben and Liz for the time and care that you took with my property!
