My experience was wonderful. The lamb Biryani is extraordinary. The people who work there are also great.

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time today. The overall look and atmosphere of the place was good. There was a tired looking older lady at the front who could have tried to be a little more welcoming. She bluntly asked if we wanted a takeout or sitting in. We said we would like to sit and eat. She pointed us to go and sit in an area with bare tables that did not even have table placemats and cutlery set up (like most of the other areas in the restaurant). Luckily, we had a much nicer server - a young man - who started by bringing us our complimentary water and some salad with a yogurt sauce and imli chutney. We ordered boneless karahi chicken (spicy option) and 4 naans. The karahi chicken wasn’t as spicy as we would have preferred. In fact, it hardly had any flavour at all. It was like having boiled chicken mixed with lightly fried onions and tomato paste. It tasted more like baingan bharta than a non vegetarian dish. The naans were disappointing too. Aside from the naan placed on the top, all the other naans were badly burnt, especially on the back sides. This restaurant is on the pricey side, and they add a compulsory 10% gratuity. We have no intention eating here again.

This place used to offer delicious desi food at reasonable prices.

The serving was quite small as compare to the price. The taste is below average and service is extremely slow.served me salt with tea instead of sugar.

Never in my lifetime I expected to pay 50+ for 1 biryani and 1 curry with 2 bread. Food is good but the prices are outrageous.

Not sure if the owners have changed. Use to be a great place. However, last few times - was questionable? Walked in because someone in our group wanted to go and try out their biryani, but there was no option to order except eat the Buffet
For $20 all you can eat…. The food choices were NOT great with no flavour, and the ones that were okay choices had no flavour at all! I was so upset. Lastly, thought I would try the dessert (gulab jambo) even that was stale!
So disappointing and very sad.
To the owners: Please fix this!

My family goes for Nihari and their chicken Seekh kebabs. My kids love the quality. It’s authentic food and to top it all the customer service is great.

BEST NIHARI IN TORONTO! We eat here almost once a week and we go here JUST for the Nihari and butter chicken. The food (especially the Nihari) is way better than Karhai Point which is just down the road from there.

Worst ever experience at this place. As you can see in this picture, Chicken is kind of stale and its didn’t looked fresh or taste fresh. Really dry and yellowish.

I visited this place with my family few days ago. I love this place because of excellent customer service and very delicious fresh food. We especially like to eat chicken haleem, beef nihari, spicy chicken and beef kabab and chicken biryani. I strongly recommend to visit this place for best food.

We ordered brain masala and it was tasteless. No spice at all. We also ordered mutton karahi but it was not upto expectations. The service was disappointing. They were unnecessarily hurrying the service. The waiter just kept the butter naan on the edge of table and didn’t even realize how careless he was. The same guy even added 10% gratitude tip without informing us. Such a down market approach to customers. Would never recommend such a place.

TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY…Except Nihari, no other dish that we ordered like biryani, kabobs, chicken tikka have no taste at all. Biryani has no taste whatsoever, , To call it a biryani is an insult to biryani…there chef should have used a biryani masala if he/she don’t know how to make biryani. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY…only Nihari was ok. $100 WENT DOWN THE DRAIN.

Their biryani is worse biryani ever, no salt, no taste, no spice nothing at all! I mean I could cook way better than this. I spent $20 including tax for one chicken biryani and I’ll regret for it my whole life L. Not for that 20 dollars but for the expectations, the hope, the wait time and for destroying my starvation of course. NOT RECOMMENDING their biryani at all!

Food is excellent but gives very little pieces of meat in karahi ghost fr the price paid.
Also when dined in very few pieces of meat in a big plate of biriyani.

I've been coming here for many years now and food is really good but the portion sizes have gotten almost half the size smaller. Also, I would give bathroom cleanliness a 0. It was disgusting. No toilet paper at all and it was so dirty that I felt like throwing up.

Went there after recommendation of friends, and it did not disappoint. Their Paya, nihari, garlic naans and chai is a must try. Real authentic flavour.

They probably have the worst customer service, i tried to place an order at 10: 15pm and it says they close at 11: 00 pm they told me i can't place an order since they are closing soon how are they going to stop taking orders 45 mins before close. If you are going to stop taking orders 45 to 1 hour prior please specify it somewhere so prople dont waste their time driving all the way for no reason.

Their veal biriyani is my all time favourite. Whenever I don’t feel like to cook at home i just order their veal biriyani, good portion compare to price & you get enough meat. Flavour ful rice & juicy meat. Also i love their halwa puri breakfast wish they had it every day not just in weekends.

I am visiting from South Korea, I went to Shaheen Tikka with my parents for iftar buffet. The food was delicious. Very clean place, staff is friendly. All buffet food tasted fresh. Excellent service. Taste was amazing and left a lasting impression, my parents were so happy when I took them at Shaheen Tikka the 2nd time.

I had a long day and was returning home pretty late. My neices had fell asleep in the back seat. Seeing I couldn't cook anything fast enough to feed them before I tuck them in for bed. I decided to order a MILD biryani for them. As we sat down to eat my neices complained about the biryani being too spicy. I tasted it and I started to swear right away. My lips and mouth start burning. I had to make my girls a sweet yogurt drink which still wasn't enough to make the biryani easier to eat. I called in to inquire about what went wrong. I was so nice on the phone and the person I was speaking to kept arguing with me and would not listen to a single word I was saying. I was so tired and I was being patient. He made me lose my temper on the phone and he cut the line on me. I called back and he was still not willing to accept he had made a mistake. An apology was all I was expecting.

I went in today to get naan. I luckily found the guy at the counter. About 6 feet. Belly sticking out. Light mustache. Darker Indian complexion. I asked him if he remembers our conversation. He was acting oblivious. I asked him who taught him how to speak to customers because never in my life have I dealt with someone so entitled. I ran him through how to deal with customers over the phone. Listen. Understand. Move on. It's that simple. His co worker offered me free biryani and an apology when he heard my getting heated. But they miss the point. The person who made the mistake of disrespecting a valuable customer on the phone was right there. The only person who should be apologizing was that single person. I declined the free biryani because you cannot make your problems go away by offering free things. Shaheen really needs to teach their workers how to act. The food is 7/10. It's over priced. I would not recommend anyone to go here if they want to be treated fairly and charged accordingly. A simple boneless chicken biryani will run you $15. I would recommend to take your business to Zum Zum which is located on birchmount rd and Danforth. They are very nice. Very respectful. I hope no one has to deal with this ever again. I was so hesitant to write a review because I don't like ruining anyone reputation. But doing this to customers again and again and again. Yeah don't go here. There are better options.

Bad taste and waste of money, biryani is totally scam of money they are charging, staff is rude as well

For the prices the food wasn't good. A couple of pieces of meat in the curry, lamb biryani had no lamb in it.service and restaurant itself was abismal. The place comes across as unsanitary, chairs and furniture hasn't been cleaned in a while.

Teste is good for halwa puri, but very expensive. For just two trayes of halwa poori for 2 persons, bill was $29.81. There's was no tea or any other beverage included. In bill they're automatically charging 10% graduity. Interestingly, they're taking tax on both meal as well as on graduity! See invoice.very disappointing.

I used to go to this place a lot but ever since the pandemic i didn’t go much, recently i was passing by and wanted to get NAAN from here so i went in and ordered 2 NAAN, first of all it took them almost 20 minutes to bake 2 Naans, secondly the staff in the kitchen doesn’t follow health and safety protocols at all (no mask, no gloves, no hairnet) and finally when i got the naans, i went home and opened the bag to see that one naan was completely burnt on the outside but raw on the inside, the second one was missing a whole piece, and it was so raw that it felt like the just put the dough in the bag for me, i couldn’t believe what i saw, NEVER GOING AGAIN OR ORDERING ANYTHING FROM HERE, huge DISAPPOINTMENT

Shaheen Tikka offers wide range of Pakistani and South Asians food. I live their Kebabs and brain masala. Haleem, nehari etc.are also available. The staff are kind and caring.

BE prepared yourself to pay Jagga tax, 10% in the name of service charges on top of food tax and HST.
I ordered for Nihari, but I couldn't find Big Boti, they served Nihari like Haleem, the meat was in tiny form like Haleem. I was not happy.

BBQ items were very good - flavourful and not too spicy - I would not mind revisiting the place - fresh hot tandoori naan were awesome - the only bad patch amongst the items ordered was regular Lassi - will never order that again.

The Shish kebab in the mixed grill platter was amazing. Definitely going back again. Restaurant does need to be cleaner but overall a good experience.

HORIIBLE BUTTER CHICKEN

The way it was packaged was also concerning, It was perfectly sealed with a plastic wrap like they prepare these in advance and just microwave it when its time.

Also no sense of hygiene, I saw a Pepsi can on the floor for some reason and notified the worker, he looked at it and waited 10 minutes before getting it off the floor. Then proceeds to put it back in the fridge.

NO SENSE OF HYGIENE.

Also dude wasn't wearing his mask properly but that's not as big a deal as the other workers who didn't even wear it.

We had to throw away the food. We ordered bihari kebabs but it had a very chemically kind of weird smell and taste. Either they are using a really bad quality of charcoals or food containers. Never going back to this restaurant!

Had lahori breakfast - this was our first time.everything was fresh.puri was soft in the inside crunchy on the outside.tried haleem, nihari and naan.everything was delicious.highly recommend

Amazing restaurant and delicious food. The seekh kebabs and naans are a personal favorite! A definite place to visit if you're looking for some great quality Pakistani dishes.

They have the best south asian food and i am a big fan of their Nihari, paya, beef bihari and Lahori chana. I cut 1 star for there halwa poori which i think is not upto their standard.

The food at this restaurant is good. This is the only reason why I like to order from this restaurant because honestly the food is very tasty. FYI:
1) The current prices in their menu are not the right prices - they hiked most prices by $1-2.2) The customer service and attitude towards their customers is VERY disappointing. They are very rude over the phone (both the women and men) and they want to get over the call very quickly because there are "other customers. " I am a paying customer AS WELL, so if you need to spend 2 extra minutes on the phone to answer my questions then the other customers need to wait. That is how a business works -especially a retail business in the food industry. I've read other reviews and most customers have the same complaint - bad service and rude attitude from all the people that work there. Please take the hint from your reviews and reflect on your customer service - start being more nice to your paying customers. Thank you.

I must say this place makes amazing Pakistani food with true authentic flavours.

I was craving some quality food and picked this place hoping to be surprised with a good taste.

The food was outstanding and the portion was generous. You can tell the homemade and caring the food took to prepare.

I come here for the HUGE garlic naans. So big and fluffy and so good I usually get kebabs, butter chicken, palak paneer and Chana masala to eat with the naans and if we have guests we get the chicken biryani as well. Portion sizes are on the smaller end but if you get lots of items it’s pretty good for a medium to large size family!

Was craving proper Pakistani halwa Puri breakfast. This place did not disappoint. Will go again. And highly recommend. Clean space, great food.

Very bad service, I ordered chicken kabab roll, 2 beef samosa and fries. She didn't ask if takeout or dinning in, see how she put my order on the table, without try, she literally hold on her hands all order with ketchup. See photo.

I went there for beef mince naan. Although they were fresh but the filling was not really full. Just little bit of mince. Satisfactory for this time. Will b trying some other dishes later and update accordingly!

Poor customer service, the guy on the cashier was very rude. I was talking to him to make an order and just looked at me and left.

Ordered some delivery from this place and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the items. The naans were dreamily fluffy just the way I like them. The Biriyani was flavourful and well-portioned. Would be inclined to come try the buffet sometime in the future.

This place clearly knows how to take care of their customers. Always with a kind attitude. The food is fairly priced, regularly yummy and neat.

Friendly staff real Pakistani and indian food, Saturday and Sunday breakfast is special must try paya and nehari.

Food is tasteless and cold. I will not recommend this place. Food looks delicious but tasteless. Naan took 20 minutes to come.and its not cooked well as they said tandoor (oven) was cold. And chef was abusive as we overhead him that (inke baap ke nokar lge hain). When they are opening at 1130am everything should be ready but even at 12: 15pm their oven wasn't ready. Pathetic service

Went there few times for lunch buffet. Worst restaurant experience tday.
Serving gone bad curry! Chicken tikka was few days old.hard and cold. Then worst got worst the chef walked out to meet someone and whole attire was filthy/dirty. My wife and I looked and she almost threw up.

The food is okay but Very overpriced for a spot that looks dirty. For example a can of Pop is $2.50+tax. 5 Star places don't even charge anything close to that.

We went around 3: 40pm. It was nice and quiet. Customer service was horrible. We had to wait min 10 min to get the menu. Once we got the me we were a bit confused so we wanted some help but when the waitress came he was talking so fast we didnt understand anything. Salad was awful. Extremely dirty place! Stains all over the plates and glasses. But food was AMAZING! I would recommend this place for the food only!

A very poor customer service that I received on the January 1st, 2020 your Shaheen Tikka & Kabab House, I wish to air my complaints. I was unhappy with the staff’s attitude and also the way they handle clients.

The staff portrayed a large amount or incompetence and a bad attitude towards customer. We were not acknowledged upon entrance.we were handed over the menu and the waiter left. We waited for about 15-20 minutes and no one came to take the order and instead he passed by twice my table without acknowledging to come and take my order. So disrespectful, felt unwanted and hugely ignored.despite the fact that we were paying and wasn’t there for a free meal.

After waiting for so long, when I turned my head to see where the waiters were actually busy (although the restaurant barely had 3 tables occupancy) ; only found out that they were all standing at the cash register and chit chatting. That’s when I lost my patience and had to ask them whether if anyone would come and take order and whether if that was really a customer service that they were trained to offer their client?

I trust this is not the way to deal with customer. I don’t recommend this restaurant.

5 stars to their naan chanay. Real lahori chikar cholay taste if you ask them for extra spicy. Chanay taste so delicious. One Star less for over pricing. Over all good Pakistani restaurant

My my there food is Amazing.this place is super busy. And it would be since there food is soooo good. I'm not much of a restaurant sweet fan but they have the best pakistani rice pudding. Great place to eat at if ur looking for pakistani food.

A great spot for quality Desi food. Can't go wrong with their tandoor and kadai dishes. Veggie food lovers - don't sleep on their daal makhni. There is something for everyone here.

Ordered online. It was still hot, and the flavour was perfection. Best Lahori chole. Definitely worth a visit if you love authentic Pakistani taste! The naan is a good portion, too. Ordered online so I can't speak to the service, but maybe they're better as a takeout option? Still delicious and will try again!

The food is good but very bad customer service the server doesn't bother asking what we would like we had to go up front and order. As well he would not respond kindly when we asked him for extra nakpins and cutlery. Very disappointed with this place

I ordered food from doordash. I didn't have option to give review for the food, in that application. So I came here to give my review. I ordered chicken biryani and half chicken bbq. My food was delivered just few minutes ago, i already ate ¼ portion of it. Essence was soo tempting, taste is omg, that's even more tempting in very bite. I would recommend this for 99999999000000000000000000000% will try other items too and soon I'll order again.

I actually really enjoyed this spot! I've had a lot of Indian food.especially overpriced places that didn't taste remarkable. This place however is my new go to spot whenever I'm craving indian/pakistani food
