Hard to find table for four around 10.30 am for breakfast, menu is bit pricey breakfast combo for four

AVOID. Made the mistake of stopping by for tea! Had picked up the best-in-town samosa’s from bismillah sweets and was looking to add tea.
Was served c-o-l-d tea. Charged A LOT.never returning again.
In around Mississauga don’t compromise.just got to Milan.

The food was allright, but the service was so subpar. Looking through older reviews it's a common theme. They had one girl who was responsible for the entirety of the front store, maybe that's why she seemed so miserable but she should take that up with the owners and not on customers with terrible service. We were 5 people with about 100 dollars worth of food and she was visibly upset we requested 2 tables be joined, voicing it was unnecessary 3 different times.funnily enough the food took up both tables when it came out so honestly should've seen how she would've fit all that food on one.after that her entire mood was visibly sour and she didnt not even attempt to engage positively.

We were hungry and needed some good food after our recent trip to Niagara on the Lake. Google was pointing us to another Pakistani restaurant but we saw the SHAMIANA sign and the word BBQ and had to give it a try.

This restaurant is cozy and the food we had was fresh and delicious. We started off with a Chicken Kabab Roll and Beef Kababs.

I’ll say them Kababs were perfect. Outstanding. Mouth Watering. They touch the soul! Heaven on Earth!

They were barbecued to the right doneness over coals with a smokiness and bite. They had a nice spice blend that was very Lahori and with a complexity that will bring you back for more. In fact after I finished my order, I ordered it again.

We also had the Lahori Chickkar Cholay that came steaming hot! It had a distinct black pepper flavour that was very pleasing and with just the right touch of salt.

If this place is near your home or office you should try it out! I met the owner who is also the Chef. This usually means the food is good. Nice fellow with the gift of preparing food for Kings and Queens.

Food was okay, nothing different.they over charged our family so if you’re going in a big group, double check the pricing

The best place in mississauga is to have subcontinent's sumptuous, warm and fresh food.

Best halwa puri I have had so far in Canada. The only one where The puri has less oil and does not upset my stomach. Loved their chana too. Also tried halim and brain masala. Not over spicy but enough hot to satisfy my Bangladeshi taste bud.

I have visited this place couple of times, great food at reasonable prices, halwa puri is amazing, nihari ; biryani is good as well as their naans - chai is superb

Worst experience of my life! Puri was not cooked. Didn’t even receive all of the food. I got a teaspoon worth of potatoes? Got a stomach ache right away. If I could give zero I would. Food disgusting along with the entire place.

I have tried their halwa puri. Puris are good and sides are decent too. They could use less garam masala in their cholay and offer pickles. I would go there again as no other places offer halwa puri on weekdays but better options are available on the weekends.

We ordered lamb Briyani and fish pakora. Both were good and flavourful but the fish pakora in my opinion was vary good! I loved it. Lots of flavour, nice and tender. I've had lamb briyani befor but I'm fairly new to pakora.it was my first time trying the fish kind, however, I was not disappointed?

I don’t feel good about giving them 2 stars but we ordered 10 butter naans as we had guests coming over and the naans were literally so thin; it was hard from the middle. We also tried their breakfast and their cholay were hard and undercooked. Definitely don’t recommend.

Although the staff is very good but the quality of food and taste it's not upto mark. I orders chicken karahi.it's literally all water and oily. Also the butter Nan are v hard and a bit burnt.
I am sorry about this review but atleast now I am not buying karahi from this.

Very disappointing start of Saturday, ordered Desi Nashta, halwa puri, paya and naan.
I don’t understand how people accept this as a paya. No taste, not properly cooked. Same with Chana and aloo tarkari.
Bad packing material, Chana and aloo mix with halwa. Aloo tarkari is way off, it looks like aloo ka Salan rather then breakfast material no taste either. 1 star for naan and puri.

The nihari gravy was fine but I have never seen so few and such small pieces of meat in a store bought dish. Not acceptable at any price. They should order a nihari from Silver Spoon next door to compare.

I ordered pori halwa and they are amazing.the price is way cheap as they offer 4 in one meal.i would recommend 100% OIL FREE PORI HALWA

I would recommend this joint over silver spoon or Al-kebab reason being.
(1) Were old settlers since 1967
(2) taste and quantity along with freshness matters.
(3) Silver Spoon, owner Adeel has admitted they have cockroaches and hygiene issue on Britannia location.
There main location is in Scarborough time they started they use to live in a apt buildings.this answer I know them and there history's fraudulent accountant and all. ⁴ Adeel himself doesn't eat from his own silver spoon. I don't know Shamiana why I recommend them is cause honesty and hard work pays off over time they remained and worked hard to achieve goal.

Very delicious food. I always visited this place for halwa poori. Poori was so good nd perfectly fried and halwa was so yummy too. That’s for giving us such an amazing tasty food.:)

Very lousy place. I have taken Halwa Puri nashta for first time and it was yuk. Puri was definitely fried in a very old oil and puri was turned black, Channa and halwa was full of oil too, no taste. I was very disappointed with the service at the counter with the lady who served me upon pickup. I would definitely don't recommend this place as there are many better options in a walking distance.

Halleem wasn't that great, but other foods people were eating looked amazing, will definitely be back to try something else

Ordered Biryani, It was really good and freshly made. The person who took the order was very polite. Will try more things from them.

Authentic cuisine. Except for Chargha Chicken which is not that they serve as Chargha, that's more Tandoori chicken, but it's good too. Definitely will come back. Chargha can be authentic and not Tandoori. Like their food watever they serve. Bheja fry was top class.

Used to be very good restaurant.
Today the chicken biryani didn't taste or smell like a biryani. Super oily, two boney small pieces of chicken with hardly any meat! And I ordered two! Ate one of them and can't bring myself to make an attempt on the second one. This is after I requested them to make it spicey and add more masala to it.

2 weeks ago, I had ordered brain masala. I was quite disappointed then as well however I thought it was an one off issue. Now I am sure they are not what they used to be.
Not returning here.

It is a small restaurant but they have reasonable variety of Pakistani/Indian Foods. I usually buy Chat and Sweet Lassi specially in hot weather. I tried Lassi from other places but Lassi at this place is unique. Service for the food is little bit slow but on the other hand you will be amazed with quality and I think investing a little extra time to get quality food is not a bad deal. Hope you guys will enjoy your visit.

I am a really foodie person, my friends suggested me this place and i am glad that i came here and tried their food and it was very delicious.

I've always had a good experience with these guys, and I've always ordered for one person or two people mostly. But recently, I ordered for 4 people and they gave WAYYYY too few portion and it was noticeable. They filled it with mostly onions and other toppings. Usually, their portion size is good enough but this was very disappointing.

Serving leftover food. I ordered butter chicken last night and it was not made fresh. Was smelling so bad that i had to throw all of it.

This restaurant has gone way down in terms of quality. Their halwa puri nashta which used to be great was now just a waste of money. Puris were so oily, greasy and soft.

Don’t ever order naan from this restaurant. They are made up with readymade frozen with so much thick and even animals also cannot eat. I literally got pains in my jaw, cheeks and my head by chewing these naans and hardly we could eat 2 naans by 3 people and rest we threw them in garbage. They are rough have solid thickness and cannot be eaten by human beings. Biryanis are fine though but once I got broken pieces of plastic spoons in biryani and luckily I caught them and took out before eating. Dear Shamiana, please charge little more and serve good quality food as people don’t mind to pay if the food served is worth of your price.

Today I take haleem.it's was best and I took naan also but it was very bad.it's too dry.no teste.please don't buy naan.

The food was delicious but it's not a big deal to wait little bit more for a delicious food. Right now they have very small and congested area of dining. But they will exceed it which will be great idea. Tandoori Naan and seekh kabab and Tikka boti were amazing along with bhindi do pyaz.

Chargha, Beef Seekh Kabaab & Butter Naan. Great taste with right blend of spices. Simply delicious!
Will be going-back for more.

Price is very good but make sure to go on weekdays, weekends they get sold out on lot of stuff overall a good place for chicken lovers

Wonderful experience here the day before Eid. My wife and I were fasting and decided for a last minute dine-in at this establishment. The chef and server went out of their way to accommodate us with fast service. We love their BBQ platter as always and it was full of flavor and plentiful. We also ordered their Chikkar Cholay which was great. The naan was soft, fluffy and crispy. Highly recommend this restaurant for great tasting cuisine. It seems like they are opening a take out centre as well and I look forward to trying that out. Try this place out!

Shamiana is our go to spot for Nehari and fresh naan. This restaurant offers traditional desi menu with lots of choices. They also serve halwa puri breakfast on weekends.
We enjoy their food and it's always fresh to our liking and that means usually some wait time.
I recommend ordering on phone before going to pick up. During covid they have been practicing the required new normal practices and we have felt it safe to order from them occasionally when we need to.
Overall people enjoy their taste and they are popular in heartland area for both dine in (when allowed) and ordering take out.

Amazing food! Highly recommend the Nihari and Brain Masala, I don't think I have ever had better. All the workers are nice and friendly, the restaurant is nice to sit in and also very sanitary

Biryani - mild spicy, seems like old and very average taste. 4/10
Chikkar Cholay - slightly above average - 7/10
Naan - 9/10

Great food and always fresh. The thing that I love about this place is that it doesn't smell like desi food places and you don't have to take a shower right after you visit thr store because of extensive food smell.
Halwa puri ir great too and they naans are so far better than all the other stores in that plaza.

The only reason I didn't give them 5 star was because of the wait time. Sometimes even after you order, you have to wait.
For naans I had to wait 25 mins once even after placing an order on the phone and coming on the time they gave me.
They are always late and never on time!
However once the guy offered a free kher as I had to wait a while. But still. Only if they fix their waiting issue they woukd be good.
I realized that they start making your food once yiu get there even after ordering it ahead of time.

Biryani was so bad. It was literally look like color rice and chicken with no flavor at all. ‍️‍️

I didn't like the idea of using PLASTIC Containers for HOT food which is cancerous next time I make sure will talk to the owner of shamiana.

I tried Halwa Puri, Chicken Biryani and chicken Tikka Boti. Biryani was very good and spicy, although it’s price is $5.99 at menu but I was charged only $4 on Friday night (may be a deal price). Tikka boti was also good (above average) but I think it wasn’t well done, chef took it off the grill early.
For Halwa Puri lovers, who are addicted to Lahori style "Chholay"/Chickpeas gravy, can lick their fingers with it. It's prepared in true Lahori style. Puri is above average. However, they need to improve on halwa and aloo gravy. They may need to revise the way they make halwa and aloo/potato gravy. I'll request Chef to cut potato bit smaller in size when it comes to halwa puri. In short, their breakfast is a must try thing too.

Ordered their chicken briyani today and it was possibly from yesterday heated in the microwave. Stale and tasteless briyani with burned chicken. Will not order any food ever again.

I just went there today and it was a terrible experience. The quality of the food has become so bad! We ordered Keema nan and it was not fully cooked and it was soo doughy. We decided to call to let them know and we got screamed at by the chef just for letting them know! He was actually yelling at the top his lungs at my Mom and not listening at all. Probably one of the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Soo rude and unprofessional that I will never return.everyone be aware before you order from this place!

Worst place ordered bhiryani at desk and got it in 30 seconds, chicken was stinking and was served cold, dont know how long it was packed in the box. Worst experience came fast time and highly disappointed.

I’m sorry to write it here but the food we ordered today from this place was tasteless. Ruined the Christmas brunch for the family. Had to throw it away. Improve your food prep. I’ve eaten here before and it wasn’t bad. Today was terrible.

Tried their nashta today.hakwa poori, aalu aur chane.
They were really yummy and we enjoyed it alot. The price is also very reasonable only 7 dollars for 4 pooris. I found this price most reasonable and the taste was just yummmm.

Today, I went and ordered the Samosa Chaat and the Papri Chaat. Both Chaats were absolutely disgusting and combination of chatni and other ingredients were absolutely mess. Also samosa they used in samosa chat was not fresh but must be few days old. I definitely will not recommend this place to anyone for their chats.

Lady on phone: “dine in is closed in entire peel region. Thank you for calling”

She cut the phone direct after the above words before i could say anything. Looks like a bad customer service or employees not trained properly.

Nice quaint setting, humble booths, really good food, warm and welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven't already.

The food is absolutely amazing but the service is horrendous! The lady that is always working at the front is so rude and judgemental. She does not know how to treat customers, she acts as if she is better then everyone else. Ive been there with my family multiple times and have also recommended this place to friends only because the food is amazing, but sadly at every visit we’ve had unpleasant service. Just a suggestion to the owner, please work on the service aspect to make it a more pleasant experience for customers, because otherwise everything else is great, food is top notch.

Cozy Pakistani restaurant. Great Nihari, Chargha, BBQ and Butter Chicken. Service can take a bit of improvement and space is a bit crowded. Good restaurant overall, should go there.

I do love this place. It's all about how good the food is! In love with their chaat parhi, the namak paras are so fresh, they take me back to our local bakery in gulshan e Iqbal, Karachi. The food is great, my parents love it too.

Ok we liked there taste but space issue is severe. We are regular dine in customer. Last Saturday I went there with my friend but got table next to washroom alley. The server there tried to move around the fridge but even then everyone passing to washroom was going through our table and it was still very uncomfortable to sit there. Where as they had whole middle table empty of 8 seats which could have been separated into 2 tables of 4 and we could have sat there when we requested. Anyways we left that night and coming back is not too sure

Food is good but service of the lady was messed up sad to say we pay for our food and service but when service is judging their customers for customer personal lives and actions it's not acceptable
Calling out the chef and pointing at customer and showing that customer is a female smoking and making a mockery of it not acceptable
Would recommend to owner if he wants clients for regular visits please correct this service

The butter chicken is great! Highly recommended. The dining area could be better spaced and larger but otherwise, this restaurant is highly recommended. Doesn't hurt being close to the 401 either

I tried all of the usual suspects pakistani resturanta, but nothing comes near to Shamiana. Fresh quality ingredients regular consistency and excellent customer service.

Went to try their halwa poori breakfast for the first time. When the tray arrived the chickpea portion consisted mostly of soup than the actual chickpea pulses. When we complained to the waitress about this she said that's how they serve their portions and we can leave if we didn't like it. No brainer, we left.

The food is amazing, specially nihari, Haleem, and chargha. Authentic Pakistani flavors and reasonably priced. Must visit.

I've been here a few times the food is great, service isn't bad but the restaurant is freezing cold during winter. Be prepared to zip up your winter jacket while eating and make sure you eat fast as the low temp will turn the food cold before you even finish it!

Was really disappointed. This terrible experience happened 1 month before, ordered beef biriyani takeout and waited for more than 45 minutes. I just want to tell all that just open your takeout and confirm, the reason is that when i got the takeout, i was in a hurry, as i already waited nearly 1 hour and so, took the item and went home. When i reached, i was mad because i could see only just rice and 2-3 beef peices.what the hell.no spices.is that called as biriyani.
Don't cheat people, the male server knew that we won't open the takeout to check, it was my mistake, i just trusted them as i had enjoyed their food earlier. Won't visit again.

Horrrrible service, average food and definitely overpriced for the quality & quantity. The staff working there was so rude and disrespectful. Totally smugged me when I placed an order and asked them to switch it to something else within seconds, and the girl said, "Oh they already started cooking it and everything is made per order", (this is because the malai tikka was way more expensive than what I tried to switch it to). Then they brought out the food within 2-5 minutes, so my question is how is malai tikka made in 5 minutes?
Also, the girl said the malai tikka has 5 pieces in it, and I found only 3 in there. Such a scam, $11 for 3 measly pieces of chicken.
Would not recommend going here, rated 1/5. Al-Kabab Takeout (in the same plaza) is a thousand times better quality, quantity, integrity and service wise.
