There's not a lot of parking and the small restaurant can get very busy but this is by far the best caribbean roti I've ever had. My go to is the Jerk Chicken roti. The flavour is phenomenal and the pepper sauce is also very good (and very spicy)!

Now this was good food, the oxtail were tender and flavorful. Fast service, it's very much a hole in the wall but that's were you find the best food.

Ordered a shrimp roti for my son as per his request before he goes to Sickids tomorrow and he hated it. They charged me $16 and the roti was all potatoes and the few shrimp were smelly and over cooked. Obviously it has been sitting for days and not fresh. Sad thing is that owners don't care as long as the $$ is coming in.

I have been coming to Shandras for nearly 15 years. It's consistently fresh, generous portions and tasty. I would highly recommend the boneless Jerk Chicken with rice and peas.

Not the same. Used to be 5 stars in my opinion, but the past few times the food quality just wasn't there and it upsets my stomach.not sure if its an issue of freshness but the flavors have also gone down. The curry are still okay but i brought someone here with me and they were appalled. Anyways I hope they use this review in a positive manner and can improve upon the quality and freshness and get back to where they used to be. I hate leaving negative reviews, please get back to the amazing food you used to serve the community.

Hands down still the best Trinidadian roti in Mississauga! We had curry chicken rotis, potato roti and doubles and all were amazing! Love this spot and will be back again and again ️

I don’t normally write review. The price was ridiculous for the amount of food you get. $14 for small lunch. The food was average at best. Mostly what turned me off was the attitude of the female server. I will NEVER go back to this place!

Like other people have said. Best boneless jerk chicken meal around. Best hot sauce. Very hot so be careful if you can't handle heat. With saying that no customer service. Workers never in a good mood. Don't expect a smile or anything courteous. Small changes would give 5 star In a heartbeat. Been going here for over 10 years and same attitude. But I keep going back.

Fantastic roti joint. Best you can find in all the GTA. All my friends agree. Go for the jerk chicken or goat. You can't go wrong with either. Be forewarned - cash only though.

Stay away from the Oxtail, very hard meat
Cost is way to high for the size small (quantity) and quality of the meal.
Service is very lacking, just requesting your meal was like cutting stone.
No please or thanks. I’m hoping this was just yesterday afternoon. (Watching other orders by customers you could see the same dry service)

This place has been there a long time and for good reason. Really happy to see they are still open, I used to go here often when I worked nearby. The Roti is still as good as I remember, and it's great they have a shrimp option not everywhere does.

Price change without noticing customer. Food was ok, but the price is very different from the menu.

Chicken roti was small and tasteless and for $13. Not worth it. I've had better roti which was twice the size for the same amount. They need to stop ripping people off and serve quality food.

The Food is very tasty. But one thing that concerns me a bit is the employees do not wear mask all the time.

Fav restaurant in the gta for curry and roti and I have west Indian parents that can cook. Stamp of approval for sure.

I love this restaurant very much. It has a special spirit. The food is wonderful.the service is powerful and the crew is professional. The cost is decent.truly recommend.

Awesome curry chicken and curry goat.careful with the hot sauce! Best get it on the side and test a little bit. Might have to wait in line a while if you show up right at lunch time, but it's worth it.

My experience with the place is mixed. One day is great, another day I'm getting sauce with the fried chicken. But the hot sauce is really spicy.

Worst Jamaican food I’ve ever eaten in the GTA. After asking for recommendations at the counter, I ordered the chicken roti, a side of curry potatoes and an oxtail dinner. The oxtail dinner was very salty, too salty and I do love salt! The oxtail did not taste as though it wad cooked the same day. Some of the oxtail almost tasted like the bottom of the pot. When it is slightly burned, and the meat stuck to the bottom of the pot. The curry potatoes were more like mashed potatoes. Again, watered down and something that looked liked mush. And the roti was definitely not fresh. All of it except a spoonful of each is sitting at the bottom of my garbage can.

Loved the food and the service. It's just the fact that they do not have a way to pay with a debit card that lost them a star.

It's not fair to send your customer around the corner to another shop to spend $4 on a NoName bank machine to get $20 to pay for your order.

A debit machine cost just a few cents a transaction. I'd much rather pay you an additional 25cents instead of the walk and then the $4 fee I had to give to some other business just to get my tasty roti.

Please setup debit payments. Lots of love. I'll definitely visit again and have to remember to bring cash.

This place used to be amazing, but as they grew more popular the quality diminished. Last few times I went the roti was clearly microwaved, and I could taste freezer burn.

Ever since covid, service and food quailty has gone down. It’s like there not even happy to see customers. Super annoying they only take cash and have an atm machine right in the front. They charge for extra hot sauce which is fine but always seem to forget to bring it with your food no matter what

We arrived at this restaurant for lunch.my friend recommended this spot. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff welcomed us with a smile and we had a fantastic feeling. The meal was great. We had a great time and we shall absolutely come back again. Recommended.

Everything here is great. The curry chicken roti is by far my favorite. The spice levels are low for most things but the hot sauce will bring it up to where you want them.

The food is great, but the service is not up to par. They give wrong orders, and food not served with a pleasant attitude. Thats why i stopped going there. A friendly attitude goes a long way.

When Im in the mood for a real good boneless chicken roti, with some peppa sauce that will make you sweat the devil out theres only one place, Shandras.a Mississauga staple.

The quality of the food here has gone down significantly. I alway get the oxtail from here but the last 4 times I have gone here to get food it's like they put old oxtail with new and serve it.some of the oxtail is soft and tender and delicious like it's suppose to be and the rest of it is hard tasteless like it was never stewed down and then mixed with the soft tender oxtail this is ridiculous and sad this was my favorite place to go for oxtail. It's time to find a new place for oxtail. Don't get the oxtail

One of the best authentic Caribbean food in the GTA in my opinion. A hidden Gem tucked away in a small corner on Eglinton. Glad I found the place through a co-worker. I get the Curry Chicken rice and peas everytime I am in the area.

I highly recommend it, you will not be disappointed!

Been going to Shandras since 2009, it’s without question the best roti I have ever had. So good. I find it hard to order roti from anywhere else because it’s always disappointing. Just picked up jerk chicken. Roti for the family and it was even better than usual.

Food is good, probably the best, people are upset about the ATM machine, but instead of the bank or interact provider making money off of their sales, the restaurant makes money by renting out space for the ATM and a individual makes money from the ATM. So do you want to support local businesses and peo5in the community or do you wanna do what you probably front your against and support big corporations?

Oh.my.goodness! I thought I knew what good roti tasted like until I tried this place. Welcoming and friendly, clean and cute; this place will blow you away! I came in last week and met the owner, Shandra. After explaining to her it would take quite an incredible bite to ween me off Brampton, she assured me I was about to enter a whole new realm of taste; she wasn't wrong. My friend, who was a little less willing to try roti at ALL, went with the tame chicken. I tried the boneless goat (is it a coincidence that is an acronym for Greatest of all Time?) and went with the medium spice level (despite my love of extreme heat) and was knocked out flat by the flavour! Don't miss this place!

Had a channa roti, and to be honest, I was not impressed. I think I had too little filling and a whole lotta roti shell. Also, the coleslaw is sweet, which is not something I was expecting. I’m sure there are great items on the menu though, and I would try it out again!

The best Jerk chicken place I know of. If there's better, I'd love to know about it, but I don't know how they could be better than Shandra's.

The food is so good! I got the goat roti and oxtail with rice, it was too notch. I saw a sign for the chicken soup, and I thought at first, man that's expensive for a soup. Not worth it but I'm curious. Then I tasted it, and YES ITS WORTH IT. Her home made hot sauce was delicious too! Just wish that she didn't sell out of her big bottles of hot sauce. I'm going to have to come back!

Side note: you shouldn't leave bad reviews for a business being cash only. THERES A BIG SIGN THAT SAYS CASH ONLY. Credit card companies take a share of their profit and businesses are trying to survive right now, it seems pointless to hurt a restaurant's reputation over your own convenience. Your short term convenience now could mean losing your favorite restaurant later!

As for "attitude", it's more of a Carribean culture difference. I thought the staff was nice enough. I mean, you want five star love and kindness then go to Chick Fil-A lol

Reading other reviews that give it 4 stars or less "because customer service" makes me laugh. This place is so freaking good that it's hard to believe. I've been going here for years with my wife and have never had a bad experience. The portion size is amazing and the price is criminally cheap compared to other Caribbean restaurants. This is a true gem and you definitely won't regret going here. I recommend the Jerk Chicken w Rice & Peas, Curry Chicken Roti and Jerk Chicken Roti.

The service is consistently prompt, fantastic atmosphere, helpful employees. Will eat here again when I arrive in town.

The food is honestly amazing. Portions are decent (however you pay $$) and the flavour is great. Everything else is meh. Service is neither good nor bad in my experience, the hours are not great and the price is more than other food options in the area. Definitely worth a visit.

Very disappointing experience. I know they will close a little early when they are not busy. I called first to make sure they would be open. Based on their early closing, I placed a phone order and arrived 15 minutes prior to their early closing. Staff was in the process of leaving and informed my that they did not receive any phone orders. I'm a small business owner and realize that "mix ups" happen on occasion. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of concern and respect from the staff. AT LEAST PRETEND THAT YOU CARE. I hope they don't treat all of their customers in this manner!

If i could i would eat here every week. I have tried oxtail in 7 places (Scarborough, Toronto, Vaughan, Brampton, eglington) and I can easily say this place has the best OXTAIL anywhere! Insanely large portions and the flavor keeps me coming back for more.

Jerk chicken roti is really good. Probably the best I've had. Getting thru to place and order is a pain. The line is always busy. I guess it's not meant to be tonight.

Order anything. Hot sauce is hot. Dont be a hero. Order mild. The roti is delicious. I'm getting this for lunch tomorrow.

Had the oxtail and jerk dinner, huge portion, oxtail peices were huge, an lady at the front is nice, would def recommend this carribean resteraunt.

Been here a few times and wasn’t pleased with a rude service. They get quite busy during lunch hours so service quality isn’t important to the staff. They’re arrogant in that way, with a if you don’t like it then leave kind of demeanour. On top of that, my friend found a piece of glass in his food once, so I’m not sure their food quality is being maintained as well.

I LOVE the rotis here. I always get the chicken curry and its very flavourful, fresh and delicious. Its always busy but you get your food in decent time. I highly recommend.

Jerk Chicken was good. A little saltier than you would expect. Coleslaw was average, but rice and peas were great. Definitely worth trying.

My favourite place was closed so I went there. The roti was okay. It would have tasted better in paratha, but it was satisfying.

This place is hands down the best Caribbean food in Mississauga.everything they make is delicious.it makes me envy the chefs guests at their local barbeques!

Love this place. I know it's Trinidadian, but this is my go to place for Jerk Chicken (I know I know it belongs to the Jamaicans), but I just love it here! I always get the small Jerk and a patty on the side. It's delicious, and Shandra is always friendly and sweet. I'm happy to give her my business. I recommend!

Really enjoyed the Jerk chicken plate here. Tasty Gravy slathered over fall off the bone meat served with rice and savory coleslaw. Prices are fairly reasonable. Would come again.

Came here for the high rating. Food was ok at best, tasted like it was heated up, service was miserable and long. Some friendly ladies in the back though. Probably a 1 time visit unfortunately. I have my spots, this was close by.

First time at this establishment today. Ordered jerk chicken.if you want refrigerated old food heated up and served to you then this is your place. Really unimpressed as I had high expectation going in considering the amount of good reviews.

First time here and definitely coming again.fantastic jerk chicken and one of the hottest sauces i have ever had.

My boyfriend and I went with high hopes because we heard the food here is delicious. Sadly, we left in disappointment because we were not served at all. We stood at the cashier for 15 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. A lady came from the back to give someone else their order so we thought she would eventually take our order but she never did.

Had oxtail and the buss up shuts, oxtail was very cold and quite salty small portion as well same for the goat it was cold

I heard a lot about their roti but honestly, It was nothing special and taste was pretty okay. I even had few loose motions later in the night.
One advice don't go for the hot sauce if you can't stand spices well. Begin with a little bit of hot sauce and wait for next few minutes as it hits you after sometime. Moreover, their chicken is Halal.
