Cold food. Poor service. Poor attitude from staff when we brought these issues to their attention.
Wouldn't recommend.

For $50 dollars for 2 people, Food was stale and sub par quality, not much selection. Staff were friendly. Atmosphere was very dark. Would it recommend for any occasion. As pictured are the dessert options. For $50 I expect more

A staple of the Pembroke experience, Shanloon had been a part of my life (and many others) over the last twenty years or so.

Food was great, its was the end of the Day and we were asked if we wanted anything New made for Just us. Food was great, desserts not so great. The veggie dishes were amazing.

Chicken wings and chicken balls were over cooked. Fried rice had no flavor. Even the white rice was not very good.
Restaurant is in need of an overhaul / renovation. Looks very run down.

I've been going here since I was a kid and always enjoy it. The shrimp is great, the wonton soup, and there's plenty of options.

We had a great meal and even tho they were busy their timing was really good.the buffet is great, the honey garlic ribs awsome, chicken balls were meaty and the rice was sooo good.the general Tao was amazing! Would defo recommend!

Visited tonight with my 2 sons. There was a hair in my sons won ton soup but we let it go. Found a fly in the sweet and sour sauce. Told the waitress and left the restaurant. She followed us out and told us we still had to pay for 2 of the 3 meals. I went back in to the restaurant and I quietly explained my concern with having to pay. The Manager told me they would be ok with paying half price for the 3 meals. I paid but I shouldn’t so I am leaving this review. The Board of Health needs to do a deep dive on this place - disgusting. I will never revisit. Imagine paying $34 for fly infested food. It’s a disgusting place.

Friendly staff, good food, good prices. Tried their buffet last time we were in town and their sesame chicken was the best I have had. Had take out another time, their spring rolls are awesome and love their hot'n'sour soup. Rick loved their egg rolls and homemade plum sauce. If getting take out, be sure to check your order before you leave, have had issues there, but they did make it right.

Amazing option for dining in Pembroke. Best fried chicken wings I've had in ages! My go to for take out on weekends where I wanna kick back with the family and relax.

My wife and mother in law went there this week for the buffet, the food was not kept into a safe temperature zone and both got very sick about two hours after eating there, both were vomiting and had diarrhea all night and the next day. Restaurant owners should know better to not serve food that is not safe for consumption. Will never go back until they clean their act. Shame on them for getting my family sick. I hop they get a visit from the Ontario restaurant licensing agency. This is dangerous, you can kill people with unsafe food.

Went for buffet and half the food was mostly empty and dried out, service was good.wasn't overly impressed

Chow mein is below average, along with the almond guy ding. Chicken balls are amazing though.

Really busy place. Good food but it is never ready on time. Always 10-20 mins wait for takeout after time slot given.

Only go once a year, and they are always on time and everything is there, you never have to question if something was missed or quality.building needs renovation something fierce.they would do well in a newer bigger building and they deserve it.place is always hopping and for good reason

Stopped in for dinner with my family over the Christmas holidays. The food was good.garlic ribs were AMAZING. The lady who served us was on top of everything. We will for sure be back next time we are in Pembroke
