Still my go-to place for shawarma and especially poutine - I literally go out of my way to come here for their poutine. Excellent food, excellent value, and even better service. New (original) owner is one of the nicest guys ever and remembered me after several years. I highly highly recommend if you want some amazing and authentic shawarma and poutine!

Wow.the poutine is amazingly delicious! Chicken and Beef shawarma has a great taste. Their spicy garlic is so good!

Fantastic service and very friendly staff. Their food specifically the meat is delicious. The poutine is amazing as well, simple yet delicious. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quick bite at this area at a reasonable price.

Very nice discovery. Lovely welcome! We really enjoyed ourselves. The price justifies the quality, especially the generous portion of chicken in the sandwich. We'll be back with pleasure to try the rest of the menu!

Truly awesome customer service. Great food. The garlic sauce is much thicker than most and I love that it’s not runny but a perfect consistency. Fries are crispy and everything in the garlic poutine is perfect after a late night out.

Me and my fiancé always walk by here so we figured we’d give it a try! We ordered a walk-in poutine special, it is absolutely AMAZING! The owner is so friendly, we saw so many students hanging out here too! Will def be back here!

This is my favourite place when I want to eat Greek food.
The chicken souvlaki is juicy, and everything in their plate is good.

I absolutely love this place and go there very often.

The food always looks fresh, the portions are bulky and the quality is always on point.

The owner and all of his staff are very nice and a joy to deal with. Particularly Raod who often works the weekends and offers fast service with a positive attitude that keeps regulars like me coming back.

It's become my favorite shawarma place to visit in my 8 years living in the Sandy Hill area and I can't recommend it enough!

The walk in special poutine, shawarma, can soda for 12.99 so with tax its 15$ even. Seemed like a decent deal but once I later realized the poutine was the smallest poutine portion I've ever had, the fries and gravy tasted not bad but definitely not great or even good. They also completely didnt put any cheese on the poutine either. Literally one piece and its not real cheese curds. Avoid the poutine. The shawarma tasted good but they cheaped out on that to. Lost my business for sure.

Why go to shawarma palace when oka greek and shawarma is a few blocks away.similar portions, better rice, better potatoes.slightly cheaper,

We went very late at night and got an excellent treatment by Raad who prepared our food with passion and care. Totally recommended if you are in the area.

Seems maybe the place has reopened under new management? Either way, the food was fresh and tasty. I’m very particular about potatoes, and theirs were great. Sauces and veg and shawarma were good, and the service was fast and friendly.

Favourite shawarma place and amazing poutine. Girlfriend came from Nova Scotia and had to have her try this place, she was not disappointed.

Lots of variety here in Ottawa but this gem is unique with their highly flavourful chicken shawarma. The Falafel is always spectacular like the consistent quality customer service. Highly recommend it and worth the trip from anywhere in the city!

Really good shawarma, and excellent customer service. Not much else you can ask for from a shawarma place. I miss the lebanese pies they used to have so hopefully those come back once the pandemic is over.

The shawarma poutine is decent, but I've had to stop going here since the staff never wear masks. Kinda surprised that a food place would ignore health & safety procedures like that during a pandemic

Their selection is good and it tastes delicious. Try the poutine with Shawarma:) also, their garlic potatoes is gorgeous; salty and crispy.

Staff is usually very friendly and helpful.

It's almost always open and you're sure to get the value for your money as the prices are reasonable.

Some of the best shawarma I've had so far in Ottawa. I've been a bunch of times now and the staff are always nice & easygoing. Portions are good for the price and the food has always been great.

I lived near this place for 2 years during my undergrad (which I just finished), and I can easily say their chicken shawarma poutine is the best food I had in Canada (I was an international student). The joy it brought to my life when I was down and blue was unmeasurable. They literally saved me from falling into depression sometimes, just with that amazingly delicious portion of chicken shawarma poutine. I'm back home now and don't know if I'll ever come back to Canada, but I will never forget the taste of your food or the kind greetings I received there. So much love.

Stopped by here on my way to a friend's house. The restaurant was empty and there was one person working, who greeted me and was pretty friendly. The food however was really bad, like really bad. I'm not sure if it was the garlic sauce or hummus but it was just so overpowering and just tasted awful. Vegetables seemed a bit old as well with browning on the edges.

Gonna have to stick with my favourites on bank St.

Super nice guy, great food. It's also close to me, so that's convenient, but like if you didn't live as close that would be bad. And sometime I might live far away, but that's like for another time and honestly you should worry about that. Just buy a sandwich it's really good and he's nice.

They have reasonable prices and good quality. However, place is very small to dine in and so it's convenient for to go orders.

Great local place for shawarma, and fried chicken. While not as good as Shawarma Palace, it's also, not as busy, which great for customers. Happy to always swing by, and pick up some sandwiches, and potatoes. Highly recommended!

Excellent food and service, deliciously consistent and costs way less than its worth. Best spot in town especially for students from UOttawa. Highly recommended, I've been having the shawarma poutine with beef for like three years now and nothing can beat it! Always greeted with a smile and sent with a full belly.

The place has good staff and tasty food, I would rate it better, but they have next to no seating for groups of friends.

It is not accessible for those with reduced mobility.

So you know how you alway walk past a restaurant and never try it/notice it? Well i gave this one a shot today. All i can say:
AMAZING food, quality + prices are VERY decent.
Beats all places in the city, well done
