Shawarma Elsabil

I am highly disappointed. This place used to have the best shawarmas and I used to come here for 6-8 years, now they have gone down the drain.

I recently visited El Sabil shawarma shop, and I must say I was quite disappointed with the experience. The shawarma, which used to be good and fresh, was cold and stale even though I ordered them 5 minutes before coming in. Even the ingredients didn't taste as fresh as they once did. What made matters worse was the high cost – $10 for a shawarma and $5 for fries that were so dry and stale they had to be thrown out…. I couldn’t even eat them. It's no surprise that the shop seems to have lost business. I hope they can address these issues and improve the quality of their food to regain their former reputation. If you want to increased prices to fit in with inflation, at least up the quality of the food. Will not be coming back.

TOP TIER. Food was TASTY, would definitely recommend, the kitchen is clean and the workers care.also in todays economy they are fairly priced as well. =^)

This is the best shawarma I've ever had. That's why I've been coming here since high-school. The people I've known forever and I'm always gonna keep coming back. Can't recommend this place enough. A true diamond in the ruff

Great shwarama worth travelling to!

I came one day in the summer and it was close to closing and the boss said "come back another day and that he's been there for 20+ years it's worth it. "

Today was the day I went back, overall it did hit the spot, I had the chicken plate and it was very large in portion. Their garlic sauce and hummus worked well, I did find the hot sauce lacked a bit of kick. Would recommend if in the area for overall great shwarama!

I got there pretty late and wanted the shish kafta but was sold out. I ended up getting the chicken shawarma on a pita instead. Meat was well seasoned and juicy, had all the fix in’s. Everything was fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try more things!

The food is fresh and made with care. We had shawarma and hummus and both were fantastic. You must come and eat here!

Good shawarma and even better hospitality and customer service! Imad has been running the place for 26 years and he makes you feel at home. The chicken shawarma was really good!

I give you 4 stars because it needs a little more attention in terms of cleaning. We are in pandemic and the Middle Eastern brother who is a wonderful person he was not wearing gloves, he did washed his hands in front of me yet, I didn’t like skin touch food. Protection against germs shall be everyone’s responsibility and priority. Other than that please do go with your families friends and loved one’s, the price reasonable and the Neighborhood is lovely. If you are a Muslim it is perfect place for you since the Jam’e Abu Bakr Siddique 2665 is just across the street.

And yes to the owner of the restaurant, thank you for giving me free cold water, it was truly generous of you.

It is the perfect place to grab a real shawarma. Haven’t gotten to taste such chunky shawarma in a while. My taste buds are happy.

Imad (I believe that’s the owner’s name) is super friendly. He chatted us up while he cooked our falafels and gave my daughter a few samples to help her decide what she wanted to eat. We all chose falafels in the end, and they were very tasty. Next time we’re in the area, we’ll be back for sure. I think I’d like to try the chicken shawarma. Thank you!

Sorry to burst your bubble but the owners here have anger issues with kids. This review reflects back to a year ago as I did not have time. I was in the car and sent my son to get a shwarma so I could watch my other kids. They told my son to leave and not come back because they didn't understand what he was ordering. This is absolutely garbage behaviour and absolutely will not be buying from a place that doesn't practice good behaviour with children. There is Amazing Shwarma place just across beside FreshCo. You will have much better services there and amazing food

Very nice proprietor, and awesome food. The chicken was some of the best shawarma I've had in the area. Well worth the visit. Place is tiny, so expect to do take out.

This place is amazing! I just bought a shawarma wrap from here- it is probably the best I have had! The owner was extremely friendly and I will definitely be back!

They are using a non-stick pan that was sawed in half to scoop the chicken. Problem is, teflon pans (non-stick) releases toxic chemicals into your food when it becomes scraped and damaged. Please invest in proper stainless steel utensils, this is very bad for people's health.

Owner is very friendly. I love their food and since it’s near a high-school, many teens love to eat their fries. One of the best so far. Would recommend

Quality food with a super friendly owner. The shawarma is one of the best i have ever tried. The garlic sauce is to die for.the food is made with proper hygiene and care.
