Shawarma King

Personally one of my favs.
Yes, the meat can be a bit dry, and the wrap can be a bit prone to falling apart, lol. But still, something about the staff, the open vibe, and the tastiness of the loaded wraps that just gets me.
Also probably one of the cheapest shawarmas in Ottawa by weight, I would say. So that's gotta be worth something in a world where the smallest meal out costs you $20 plus tip.
Small shawarma sandwich for $10 EVEN (at the time of writing) in 2024.

Food was delicious here, for an open late Shawarma spot, it still tasted fresh. The service was well and they even cleaned a table for us. The late night staff talk Bae about customers not knowing I understood everything in Arabic they said

It's the second time my order was ignored by this location through an order with Skip. No problem if you don't want my business, I ordered somewhere else. Won't be ordering from here again.

Best Shawarma in Ottawa - and it's clean, everything is proper. Many of the other places are not too clean in my opinion. Anyway the food tastes better here too. I dream about it. Large portions, especiall if you get it to go in a styrofom box. It's filled to the brim with goodness.

Great falafel wrap. Very fresh. I took off a star for the tin foil wrapping, it was harder to eat than with the usual parchment I get from other restaurants. The music was also very loud even with my headphones on. Great other than that though. Thank you.

Falafel is dry, without greens, edible but not tasty. Disappointed.
Foil packaging is probably a necessity, but it is not very convenient to unroll the roll.
The meat is good, fresh, fried, but too few spices.
Salads are fresh.
Hummus is too simple, but it's not for everyone.
I would not buy shawarma from this place for the second time. I was also upset by the too liquid tahina (sesame paste), which is poured over falafel and meat. Perhaps something else tasted better. Potatoes, sweets. I haven't tried them.
The most valuable thing is the owner's smile! Very welcoming, pleasant, helpful, attentive.
If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have bought anything. When I bought it, I was sure that it would be tastier.

I got a veggie sandwich. Veggies were old awful taste and it was cold. The sandwich torn apart after I opened it. Will not come back.

Ordered chicken shawarma on Wednesday night (I know my mistake) and restaurant proved me right - dry old chicken wrapped with uninterested veggies. I hope I and my family don’t fell sick ; finger-crossed.

I loved shawarma king. So far I have always ordered a mixed beef and chicken shawarma plate. The dish is delisious having potatoes that are roasted and seasoned well, hummus, salad having actually turnips cough cough Shawarma palace, and the meat was really good. The naans were heated well as well. I gotta say I find the experience here better then shawarma palace. The staff are so cool like they actually talk and engage with u as they are students and it's so fun to talk with them. It's also a family owned business so it's really fun to support a local business. So I find the customer service alot better then shawarma palace. I also feel like the portions they give u are now bigger then u find at shawarma palace. I also loved how the server accommodated my request for extra hot sauce and more saucy unlike the unwelcome feeling I got from shwarma palace. Also I ordered on door dash once and I was shocked after asking them to make it extra saucy they gave me like 3 sauce containers. Sooooo gooood. Like once had garlic, spicy and the other one might have been avoili. I would definitely choose this as my go to shawarma rice place in Ottawa. I was able to eat and get filled up by theix plate I bought for 3 days straight (even tho I also would buy naan to consume and eat as well from Loblaws). Overall I def recommend it.

Friendly and kind staff that value a good relationship with its customers, no matter what time it is Shawarma king is open and offering a quality experience that you will not find anywhere else near bank street.

We used to get shawarma from here a lot when I was younger but I find their chicken is dry and it’s not enough to make me want to continue coming here. There are like 5 more shawarma places within walking distance so go try those and pick your favourite.

We were just walking by looking for a place to eat and tried out Shawarma King for a group including our parents and kids. They immediately recommended the meal for 7 since we were 7 people. Food tasted fresh and flavourful. Enough leftover for another entire meal. Definitely recommend.

Great sandwich! Very friendly staff. My most recent visit there was a very rude large man demanding they make him free food and the staff handled him exceptionally well. Noone lost their cool except the adult bully. They got him to sit and talk quietly with the manager.

Add the option to select toppings on uber eats and then i will change rating.i tried calling to ask to tell what i want on my shawarma and no one answered

These guys are the friendliest, they make my day every time I come in. Their food is fresh and cared for, this is a wonderful place to grab some delicious fresh shawarma, from some wonderfully kind people.

How disappointing! I’ve been going to this location for years but it’s been a while since I was here and something has changed and not for the better. The food quality wasn’t as good as it could of been. I ordered 2 combo chicken Shawarma’s with potatoes. The potatoes were dry, hard, cold and lacked taste. The Shawarma’s were just ok, but lacking in taste of garlic sauce that usually comes in a shawarma. Two small combos with a tip was $34+ and my recommendation is to look for a another place as this place is truly disappointing. Don’t waste your money.

I have ordered from Shawarma King quite a few times over the past decade and here are the things I truly appreciate from them: They get the orders correct and the servings are generous; they make ordering for large groups easy (I have been using Google Forms to make larger orders and sharing with their staff has worked very well for me because of the spreadsheet created with the Google Form responses) ; staff have followed up whenever they needed clarification; our orders have been delivered on time; my colleagues always praise ME for the quality of the food and the great experiences we have when sharing Shawarma King food. And when I make mistakes, they have been exceedingly understanding and accommodating. Kudos to Shawarma King and its staff!

Great dishes. Foods was quickly made. Big portions. Everything was great. Sort of a fast food feel to the place but great food made up for it.

Don't get the sandwich, wasting money!
If you like semicooked tomato and iceberg, get it.

Huge portions on the platters and this place is my goto late-night spot for good cheap eats.their pickles and garlic sauces are fabulous.the staff are always super sweet too, i'll probably be a regular customer for as long as i'm living in the area!

Amazing food from great guy! The person at the restaurant was very nice and welcoming. Gave us good portion with pleasure!
