Shawarma Prince

I only started going to this location when I moved to the area about a year ago after leaving Centretown - where you could find a different Shawarma spot every few blocks.

But this spot? So far, this spot has been the real deal each time I've visited. The staff are ALWAYS so friendly (special shoutout to the young man working the evening of January 9 - he deserves a raise for how friendly and quick he was).

The food is fresh and piled HIGH. If you want leftovers, this is the place to go. I'm a creature of habit and have only ordered the Beef or Chicken Shawarma platter, but last time we ordered 1 platter was enough for a massive plate for me and 2 pita sandwiches for my partner.

Can't recommend this spot enough if you're looking for a solid Shawarma spot in the west end.

I’ve been ordering food from this place for a couple of years now (By Uber eats) and I’ve been happy but, today’s food was awful! Everything looked bad. Rice was overcooked and mushy, potatoes were not freshly cooked and not crispy at all. Chicken and beef looked not so fresh also a little smelly. Honestly I’m still shocked

This is our go to for Shwarma. They guys are great, food is excellent. Fast service and nice atmosphere and generous servings.

Maybe good for meat lovers but not for vegetarian, ordered vagie platter falafel was raw and super cold.

I have been in many places west (BC) and east (Newfoundland) and this without a doubt is the best chicken shawarma I have ever had.

The side of potatoes with the garlic sauce was nothing short of amazing - flavorful, crispy outside - tender inside.

I am already looking forward to our next order.

I have had donairs there many times. Today was the best donairs I had. I stopped going for awhile because a young man didn't know how to wrap it. It fell apart a mess. Not today the best wrap I ever had, that makes the donair. I don't know if you read reviews. I went there today. I wanted 3 large donairs. I waited and was told no donair meat. Was offered beef or chicken, don't like these. He told me to come back tomorrow. I only go there once a month. I was very upset, best donairs I ever tried. I wanted to give donair to a friend. Very disappointed. Will I have to find a new donair place? ‽

Went to dine in, the portions were veeeery generous to say the least. We couldn’t even finish the food and had to take it home for later. It was very delicious and great quality. The people there are very kind and welcoming. Food and service 10/10, I would definitely recommend.

Ordered via DoorDash. We got 2 platters. The portions were pretty good, the sauces were really tasty (garlic and spicy garlic) except hummus which tasted off. The meat was tender, delivery was good. Potatoes were fantastic.

I ordered the mixed platter and the falafel for dinner and surprisingly it came out a lot of food with plenty of meat. The food was also delicious. There was NO fat in the meat which was good.

I was ordering for a large group from the Merivale location and everyone was blown away by how amazing the food was. This is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Service was great too.

When I went there I met the nicest person in the world his name was alla Abu abdu and he is quick and professional at everything. I has the best poutine here too.

The owner (I believe he’s the owner) is so kind, friendly, and generous! You can tell he puts his heart and soul into his work and food. On top of that, the food is delicious! Especially the potatoes, wow. My regular spot for shawarma.

This place is the best place for shawarma on merivale road. The people working there are super nice and alla was the nicest guy there.

Rating should be 0 or negative.my adult daughter was so badly mistreated today by one employee that she was brought to tears. The $100+ order in the middle of the day was missing the pita bread, salad dressing and hummus. This was the family go-to place for Shawarma. She was told "don't come back". As if she ever would! Rude beyond belief! New management is required.don't let one bad apple ruin the bunch!

Ordered a 2 shawarma sandwich and salad combo through Door Dash, my husband ordered the beef and I got the chicken. Super generous portions of meat and salad. No option through Door Dash to include pickled turnips, which was a disappointment, but even with this the food was pretty tasty and super filling. We shall see how it sits in the ol’ tum, but at present I’m super surprised by the poor reviews as it’s really not that bad.

Edit: I was absolutely fine after eating it and would definitely order again!

What an absolute garbage place, does not even deserves 3.9 rating. Never seen this place busy but the attitude of staff is somewhere else. Baught two wraps, he mixed the orders, it was cold, vege not fresh, most of the stuff in the display coolers is atleast couole of days old.
