Waited in line for 10 mins no prob, place order for a chicken family plate with brown rice,

Order gets sent down the line to the delivery guy who added white rice and mixed beef and chicken and bagged it

I continued waiting thinking maybe that’s someone else’s order as there was multiple people waiting for their food

15 more mins goes by and I ask about my food and they said I made a mistake ordering and blaming me when I specifically said chicken and brown rice

The portion size was mostly large in salad and chips but small in onions pickles and turnips (what counts)

Yes, we all know shawarma palace due to it's in your face location, but sometimes going off the beaten path, you find hidden gems like this place. The one thing that palace doesn't have is fresh za'atar and cheese bread baked in house. The food, in my opinion is flavored better, it's the spices they use. Their pink salad dressing is easily beats out competition. Their seats remind me of an old 70s diner which adds to the experience. The station is a bit hidden behind a bunch of businesses but it's well worth it, especially if the lineup at the palace is all the way to the entrance and you have have at least a 20 minute wait, the station will have you in and out in under 5-7 mins.

We ordered the family meal and we got so much food. Everything tasted good from the tabouleh to the shawarma to the garlic sauce. It was enough to feed 4 adults and lots of food leftover, definitely worth the value. Highly recommend.

The Shawarma chicken here is SO MUCH BETTER than Osmow's! Everything is absolutely delicious.

My sandwich was good, the pies are delicious, however my friend had to wait about 20 minutes for his poutine while there were many staff members working.

Not much to brag about. Mediocre quality for high prices that seems to profit off of late-night orders. The meat pie place indoors, charges $0.75 per topping while the shawarma place charges extra to change pita bread to saj bread. To give you an idea, 2 regular saj shawarma sandwiches cost $30. No sides, no drinks, no extras.

This place is so CHEAP! If you order their family platter it’s now $50 before tax. It used to be $45 few months ago. When you order family platter they put the garlic and hummus containers inside the tray so that it takes up more space and they don’t have to give you as much rice and meat and vegetables. Raise the price and smaller portion. Bye bye shawarma station. Will never come back and I will tell everyone! Your are so CHEAP! Rip off!

One of the best shawarma restaurants in ottawa. Unfortunately they have stopped including homemade pita bread with their platters. Also no cans of soft drinks, only bottles. All halal menu.

Clearly the best shawarma in Ottawa, served by some really great people. Also they have really nice fresh baked pies.

I'm not one to write bad reviews but my experience here was very upsetting.

I came in at about 11: 00 am, there was a man behind the counter lighting a spit, watching the soccer game. He didn't even look at me, didn't say hello and eventually went to the back. Another man came out, didn't look at me or acknowledge me, not a simple "hey someone will be right with you" and went to the back. The woman who runs the cash, made eye contact but also did not acknowledge me. Eventually I had to ask her if the shawarma station was even open. She looked very annoyed and went to the back to call someone. After a few minutes she came back out and started making my shawarma. Her attitude was cold and I could feel she was annoyed with me for having said something. Halfway through, she stopped, took off her gloves and went to help someone at the cash. I found that shocking. I kept waiting until a man came out and finished my order. He didn't look at me, didn't say hello, or sorry for the wait. She told him in Lebanese what I wanted and he handed it to her. She gave me a fake smile handing me my food.

I am so disappointed in the customer service. To be honest, it's probably been one of the worse experiences I've ever had. I've worked many years in the service industry and I cannot imagine ignoring someone as they did. I used to recommend this place to everyone but will not be doing so anymore. Please take a moment and refresh with your staff how important customer service is.

Nothing quite hits like a chicken platter from the Sation at 1 in the morning! (I'm sure it's great at other times too.)

They used to be so good! Last couple of times it’s been disappointing. They will never fill the sandwich with chicken or condiments unless you repeat it once or twice. I always get sandwiches full of veggies and no meat. The staff is dismissive and act like they are doing me a favor. I understand the economy is tough but when customers come so often to spend their hard earned dollar at least give them what they pay for.

Best garlic sauce in the National Capital Region! And that’s not a boost, don’t bother going to Palace. This place is all you need, shawarmas never miss, their pies incredible (cheese and zaatar/thyme) definitely my favourite but also meat or meat with cheese add lime and spice is to die for. Need food for a lot of people, get their family plates they can feed 8 people easily and everything is decently priced. Great food even better people!

I have come to this shawarma station over 50 times while I lived in the south. They have a great shawarma and Lebanese pies (cheese pies, zaatar, meat pie)

I won’t be going here again because they don’t know how to value customers.

Yesterday I ordered a family shawarma platter for pick up. I usually take a coupon with me for 5$ off. Just as an fyi there is no barcode or anything on this coupon, only an expiry date. When I went to pick up my platter, I realized that I forgot my coupon at home. I have gone before and the cashier was able to just give me the 5$ off. This time the cashier was insistent she couldn’t do it. I even told her the older lady that works there at the cash has done me a favour in the past gave me the 5$ off when I didn’t bring the coupon once.

She refused to even ask the manager. ALL GOOD no issues.

I paid, and left. Got home and noticed there was barely any chicken to feed a “family” which this platter as meant to do. I called in to complain and the response they gave me was “it’s up to the person preparing the food” aka not her problem.

She said next time we will make it right …. But I had my family there waiting to eat. There won’t be next time to be honest. I’ll just go to shawarma palace across the street from now on.

I heard from my co worker it was good food so we went for lunch, we head back to job site to have lunch and we got wrong orders the food was ok but wasnt what we ordered it was someone else's wraps and food

Recently ordered the family platter x2. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived. We watched carefully as our platters were prepared. I noticed that the person serving us only made one salad container yet when we arrived at the cash I asked and the person told me there were two and handed them to me with the rest of my order. When I arrived home we ate from the top salad container and it was delicious as always. When I opened the second container almost all of the lettuce was brown on the edges. It appeared to not be fresh. Needless to say I was very disappointed with the quality. This was the first time I have experienced an incident like this at any take out restaurant. Sharma Station is usually a very enjoyable experience except for this time.

I ordered from them back on the 4th of August, and figure hey it's a busy day. BUT the food didn't arrive for 3 hours, and some how my address was put down wrong, and nobody contacted me about it. And I just tried calling three times. I can't tell if they have really loud music playing or nobody knows how to work a phone.

Do not get big platters from here. They have been massively slipping in the past two years. When I get sharable things like 18 falafel to go, they give me 5 slices of tomatoes, 3 pickles. Terrible quantity and just ok quality. I also got 2 big trays of tabouli and there was like one tomatoe cut for both trays and when I told them the next time I was in, they didn't believe me.

There pies are pretty good top 5 in ottawa there shawarma and everything else is disgusting. I wouldent recommend. Bad weird flavour. The hamburger is terrible the fried chicken is terrible.

Food is great, the lady at the cash is very friendly, but the guys behind the counter are sometimes a bit "cold" and leave you feeling like you're a nuisance to them.

The shawarma and kebab here is disgusting. If I were starving and this was the only place open, I’d prefer to starve than eat here. An absolute disgrace to middle eastern food.

I have celiac, and have been going to Shawarma station for years. The staff are always so pleasant, and the food is always hot, fresh and delicious.
They have coupons to get free trios, drinks or sandwiches, all you have to do is put in your phone #.
This time I ordered a chicken shawarma platter and they gave me so much food that I didn't think they could close the container. I tell people about this restaurant all the time. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you so much Shawarma Station!

I've never been here before but craving shawarma. Left before trying it since only guy making food isn't even wearing his mask properly. If they aren't following current laws during a pandemic, I wonder what other health standards they don't follow.

I have tried shawarmas at many different places but shawarma here is best tasting hands down. Everything served here is super delicious. The meat is very flavorful, I could never have enough of their potatoes and I am always surprised at how moist their chicken is. It is worth every penny.

One of the best pies in town (Manakish pies not pie pies?). The chicken and beef shawarma never disappoint. There are 2 line ups, one for the shawarma and one for the pies, which I find makes it awkward and confusing sometimes. I love the points reward system they have, it's quick and easy just enter you number, especially because I'm reminded by SMS of the free canned drink on my next visit, but come my next visit and canned drinks won't be offered for the rewards anymore

Value here is amazing, as well as customer service. You can get a huge family tray for only 40$, which can feed up to 8 people! Shawarma Palace is across the street, and the customer service doesn't compare to here!

Edit - since covid, they've turned to cheap shawarmas. No garlic sauce on garlic potatoes, or our shawarmas. What the hell. Weak, never again.

This is my favourite Lebanese restaurant. Always been great, but something happened that left a sour note in my mouth: I think they are not honouring their discounts through their Five Stars marketing group.

How it works: you cover then your phone number, you get a text messages telling you how many points you have and liberating you discounts at places you frequent that add part of their network of restaurants.

A few days ago I got a text message telling my I would get 20% off my entire order of I replied YES and took advantage of it by June 6th.
I went in on May 27th, and the lady told me the machine or the service was down, and I couldn't get my discount. So I ended up paying 35 bucks and not getting 20% of that off (a bit over 6 bucks). When I voiced my displeasure, the lady replied telling me that I could still come back and get the discount but she wasn't going to give it to me this time even though I showed her the messages (see attached picture).

That left a bad taste in my mouth, so I decided to contact Five Stars, and talked to their service department: it turns out they haven't received and calls from Shawarma Station in months, and they aren't aware of any issues with their system.

I called Shawarma Station back, and the lady told me the owner probably forgot to call them.
I don't believe it: I think they just wanted to avoid giving me that discount. This makes me not want to shop there any more. And that's too bad because I've been a customer there and at their other location for many years.

This is the second time I bought something from here in a while because the food was below average before but I believe in supporting local businesses especially during these times. The last time I felt like I was over charged for the sandwiches I had bought but thought I may have misread the menu. This last time I made sure I watched the rotating menu to make sure I understood the price. The screen said my plate was $14.99 but my receipt said $15.99. I feel cheated. I won't go back. The food is very average to be misled and I might as well go across the street for a larger portion to go with a slightly higher price but better flavour and truthful advertised pricing.

The shawarma is it good in taste. However, the thing everyone looks when getting a Shawarma is quantity of meat which I could say is the lowest compared to other places. I have been eating at this location for 3 years now. However, some of the staff recently changed the portions for the meat added and that made me write this review. A few days back I entered the store didn't buy anything and left after looking at who was working at the front line. I hope they can increase their portions to how it used to be.

I put Shawarma Station and Shawarma Palace around the same quality and value (Palace portions might be bigger but are slightly more expensive). My kids love the cheese and thyme pies, which most shawarma places nearby don't offer. Their spicy garlic sauce is awesome.

When it comes to Sharwarma in the nation's capital I'm a loyal station kind of guy. If you enjoy the other place across the street it's because you haven't stepped in to the station. Once you go to the station, you stay put.

Very nice place, well organized, fast service, friendly and nice staff, and the most important part is delicious shawarma.
They know how to make it, wraps, plates, family plates, all are super tasty.
Highly recommend, if you love shawarma and middle eastern food, this is the place.

It’s very convenient place in and out! They’re doing their best to keep the customer coming good service good food the prices is reasonable also plenty of free parking, the baker always seemed to be helpful even though he always busy we need to be patient also with the lady (the cashier) very nice and polite! For me personally I like the place and it’s worth it! If they’re busy I don’t mine waiting let’s be honest and be thankful that we have a good people from our community running bakery and make food remind us of the old country and some of our moms baked good
