I contacted this company who came to do an estimate at my house. When we received the quote there were items on it that we clearly stated were not being moved. I contacted the company to clarify and after my second email they stopped responding. They had quoted me over 7000 pounds of weight for 1 bedroom + living room and dining room plus boxes and other smaller pieces. We just had another highly rated company come and they stated we have no more than 4000 pounds and quoted half the price. Very disappointing as my daughter used them with more furniture and was quoted half of what we were. Profiling the older couple? I’m questioning.

We recently used Sheffield moving to downsize my father to retirement living. It was an emotional time for our family and the Sheffield team took great care with my father’s belongings. They were extremely professional and courteous on the day of the move and they completed everything on time and on budget and even navigated a snow storm! We can’t recommend Dave and his team highly enough. Moving is stressful but with Sheffield helping us out everything felt seamless and it was a great experience overall. We can’t thank them enough.

This company is all about professionalism from beginning to end. It was an absolute no headache service that accommodated and shifted with the changing timelines, and I highly recommend for any move regardless of size.

We moved from Toronto to Calgary in October 2022. Keith came to our 1+den condo to do the initial walk through to provide us with a quote. He explained how the entire process works and was very precise (his quote ended up being only $200 over what we actually paid). When it came time for the move, the guys packed up all our things very efficiently. The next day when they came to load the truck, they were very careful around the condo and did not leave any scratches/marks on anything. The move itself was very fast - we got our things in Calgary 1.5 weeks after the initial shipment. Sheffield was super communicative about when we could expect stuff and promptly scheduled the delivery. Our items were unpacked by the team here in Calgary. EVERYTHING was in pristine condition (nothing was broken/lost etc) and all in all the move went SUPER smoothly. Would recommend the efficient and professional services to anyone who wants a hassle free move. Yes it's going to be slightly more expensive than the entry level movers, but its worth the peace of mind!

The team and experience, from start to finish, was amazing. Working with David for the estimate and organization was easy and to say the moving team made our move flawless doesn’t do it justice … they were efficient yet careful, courteous yet fun. Had them move my mom. I tell ya, very well organized. We had zero heachaches. Smooth proffesional move from the house to their stotage facility all taken care of. Dave did a thorough review of our needs and provided a written estimate for our moving and storage. He went further and allowed us to donate some furniture to the furniture bank at half the cost they wanted. Joe and his crew arrived within minutes of their scheduled time. They covered my front door and stairs to protect them. They were courteous, professional and took real care of our possessions. They were cautious with ensuring no damage to our house and contents. Bill, Carl and sadly I can’t remember the fourth chaps name, asked questions to ensure they were moving the right item and which was to be stored and which was to be donated. All items were marked with stickers to ensure we get the right items back out of storage when they return our items in a few months post renovation of the house. Highly recommended to use these guys. Trustworthy, punctual, professional and reasonably priced.

I hired Sheffield for my recent move. They helped me prepare by providing advice on how to best pack and sort my things in advance. Then their team arrived and didn’t waste any time. Their team is professional, clean, and hardworking. No shady billing either with this Company. They provided an affordable quote and charged me appropriately. They were very transparent with the costing structure so there werent any surprises when the bill came. I highly recommend using their friendly and courteous services. I moved out of my condo and into my house in 3 hours. They are that good!

Their positivity throughout the day kept my stress levels down which is exactly why I wanted to hire movers in the first place! Although we ended up not using a moving service at all and just rented a Uhaul, this was not because of Sheffield, who was one of many companies we contacted. We were impressed with their customer service and professionalism tbh, especially in comparison to some of the others out there.
Our initial communications with them were easy and they were the only company who actually offered to have an agent come down and examine the contents of our flat in order to provide the most accurate quote. The gentlemen they sent was very knowledgeable and personable, and he got back to us with a detailed quote within 48 hours.

Would recommend to those who are thinking of moving if they don't feel comfortable driving moving vans themselves!

A long truck parked outside of our driveway without the neighbor informing us, and at one point the movers were very rude and insulted us even based on by laws we were asking for our right.make sure when you move be nice to the neighbors and inform them in advance before blocking their driveway.

I had a local move and after multiple estimates decided to go with Sheffield. They came to me and walked through my place to get to know exactly what was being moved and gave me a very precise estimate. The movers showed up ready to get going, and took extra care of all of my possessions. Everything was wrapped or disassembled as needed and quickly loaded up and then moved to my new place. I absolutely would use Sheffield Moving and Storage again.

Just utilized this company to move from Downtown Toronto and it was absolutely flawless. The team showed up on time and started working immediately. They worked so hard, fast and carefully, a combination that can be contradictory but they did so. Completed the job more than 2 hours early and came in well below the estimate that Keith gave me. I have heard many terrible stories about people's moving experiences with other companies but this team nailed the move down to the details. Moving is a stressful experience. Excellent moving company, highly organized, punctual, fast and careful. They moved all of my things, many heavy and odd sized items, they have a very knowledgeable team and know how to disassemble and reassemble items that I didn't even have instructions for. If you are looking for a reputable company that you can sleep at night knowing that you will get a fair price, and professional service, i would recommend these guys. This service is for people that care about their furniture and items and want to ensure an almost white-glove service, this is not hiring 2 movers and a truck, this is a serious company for serious people that want the job done right, insured, licensed etc.

We used Sheffield for two moves this year; moving us to our rental accommodations while our house was under renovation and moving us back into our newly renovated home. Both moves were seamless, from the planning stage to actual move date. Highly recommend their services.

We filled out a quote request online and were contacted pretty promptly by Pat Keaveney to arrange an appointment for an in-home consultation. He was polite and responsive and we set up a consultation time which was confirmed on the morning of the appointment. Barry Stibbard always supposed to provide the quote, and then he just never showed up. I contacted Mr. Keaveney when Mr. Stibbard was about an hour late, asking for an update and asking if we would need to reschedule. I never heard back. This was well within business hours (at about 1: 30 pm), it’s now 4 days later, and they’ve ghosted. At this point, I guess that’s fair since I honestly wouldn’t expect them to show up on the day of my move, but it’s unprofessional enough that I feel it warrants a review. I rearranged work and school schedules to accommodate the consultation.

They were extremely professional, everything was moved with care and on time. I would definitely recommend this company.

Incredible service. Our move could not have gone smoother and it was thanks to the hard work of Sheffield. They were prompt and treated my things gently as if they were their own. On the move in side, they put together beds, tables etc so that we had a comfortable place to sleep the first night. We moved into a three story house built in the 1800's and they went up and down those narrow stairs so many times, but had taken great care to protect the walls, etc so that absolutely no damage was done. They really went above and beyond, I cannot say enough.

Very happy with the level of service and professionalism from Sheffield Moving & Storage. David is a real professional and very dedicated to a high level of customer service. I used David and his crew several years ago and was very pleased with the whole process. That was my first time using a mover and must admit I was wary because I had heard so many horror stories of people using the wrong movers. David did a great job of explaining the process and providing a level of confidence to me as the client.

Recently needed movers again and without hesitation called on David for another two separate moves within the same week. Overall, that was three separate moves with three completely different crews and an exceptionally high level of service from each one.
