Huge excellent space for studying, working and learning. Bold designs and huge amounts of colour contribute to this building being an icon in the city.

After several long hours studying tirelessly for midterm exams I was rudely ripped from my state of concentration to be nagged about my feet gently resting against a window frame of the building. You would think that paying 3500 dollars in tuition for each term would buy the the right to harmlessly rest my feet upon a window sill. Disappointing TMU… Dissapointing.

Good building, but if you want to increase the rate of disease and your mortality rate, stand outside the doors where despite no smoking sings, the air is a hazardous polluted toxic zone with little insight from "Ryerson Security".

Designed by world-class architects, SLC has been a landmark not only for Ryerson University, but also for the city of Toronto.

If you wanna learn about the functionality of this library. Don't listen to others and do yourself a favour, compare this library with Ryerson main library, and libraries of UofT university like Gerstein or Robarts.
Then ask yourself some questions:
• Did you hear any sound of elevators (while you were inside study rooms or on silent floors if there are any) ?
• Did you hear any sound of opening or closing doors?
• Did you smell any of smoking weed or cigarettes inside or outside (according to the law, smoking within 9 meters of buildings entrances are prohibited) ?
• How much were the people inside the buildings respectful to the library laws?
• How much sound did you hear while you were studying there?
• How regularized the locations were? Were they meaningful? Like on a silent floor having a lounge to sit and talk friendly is completely odd, the moment people talk, laugh and big laughs come after, you can not tell people don't do that. You have to make the condition properly adequate.
• How many times you did notice to others to be quite to respect the laws of the library?

The entrance is of weed smoking designation I believe. I have to wear medical mask and run quickly inside. Couldn't breath.

Best place to study because they have quiet study floors. They also have other floors where you could do group work. Each floor is a different theme. There so much seating and it is kept very clean. It can sometimes be crowded during exam season.

The SLC is a great addition to the Ryerson University Campus. Great lighting, accessible, and plugs are available in convenient locations. At times it is disturbing if people are loud; another downside is that it can be difficult to find a spot after 10am.

The chairs could be more comfortable. Almost all chairs are plastic or wood. 5 minutes is all my butt can take

They all are awesome. You are always in good hands here, especially Kyle Wong. You are sure to get the proper treatment here. The receptionist- Ancy makes you feel comfortable.

I really appreciate how Ryerson is putting a lot of effort into modernizing its spaces. There is a growing divide between traditional universities that have grown overcrowded and are unable to adapt, change and offer new programs that meet the demands of the changing world. This has great significance as it shows Ryerson can adapt. Each floor has a specific theme which reflects the ambience and layout of the floor. For example the top floor is called "Sky" because it has a great view of the skyline. In general The Student Learning Center blends nicely with the urban geography which isn't an easy task.
