Our connecting flight from Ottawa was delayed, and we missed the Toronto connection by a matter of minutes. The next available flight was the following morning so we stayed at the Sheraton which is conveniently connected to the Pearson airport. It was a fantastic experience. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is an indoor pool. The breakfast was delicious. The room was very comfortable. The lobby has a fabulous vibe and we met some lovely people while trying to get a room. The restaurant was closed after dinner hours and we were able to order appetizers from the bar. Despite missing our flight, staying at the Sheraton Gateway at the Pearson Airport was a great experience! It is a bit pricier than other surrounding alternatives, but well worth it in my opinion

Not bad. It IS super convenient for connections in/out of Terminal 3, but the club access for evening appetizers is sparse, pizza cold and the poutine we ordered off the menu (because of lack of food) was so salty we had to send it back. The morning breakfast was great and beds comfy. Didnt hear any planes at all.

It was very clean, modern place to stay right next to the airport. I enjoyed using the nice shower and room to relax for a few hours before my early morning flight home in the morning. Reception on the second floor informed me what I can collect points on and I saw a delicious looking bakery section that I didn't have time to try out. Hotel has a convenient large stand telling you where to catch the train or how to get to terminal 1 without having to ask the reception desk. There was also an alarm clock with outlets to charge your electronics and set up an alarm to wake you up. It has good lighting. It’s a very nice and clean place to stay and I wished I got the chance to stay longer!

I had the pleasure to deal with the manager Jelyn, she was very nice and understanding! Definitely an asset for the hotel/brand.

Good spot if you’re just staying for a layover or a few days for business as you can take train downtown but it does take a while.

・On Friday, May 26,2023, flight JL5806 arrived at Toronto Pearson International Airport Terminal 3 from Vancouver at 22: 33. This hotel is directly connected to the airport, so it was very convenient.

・The lobby and guest rooms have a sophisticated atmosphere and are beautiful

・I was worried about the noise of airplanes as it is directly connected to the airport, but it was quiet and didn't bother me at all

・SHERATON CLUB's "BREAKFAST BUFFET" was really good My favorite is the salmon! It makes me feel like I’m in Canada I love eating salmon and capers on bread (11th photo)

Coffee, decaf coffee, herbal tea, skim milk, low-fat milk, Tropicana (juice), carbonated water (13th photo)

Pastries, breads, bagels, cereals, oatmeal, OIKOS Greek yogurt, fruits, dried prunes, dried cranberries

Salmon, camembert cheese, olives, pickles, salami, prosciutto, turkey sausage (chicken chorizo depending on the day), scrambled eggs (baked egg in the 12th photo depending on the day), hash potatoes

- During times other than SHERATON CLUB's "BREAKFAST BUFFET" and "EVENING SNACKS", there are 5 types of Canadian potato chips [Miss Vickie's], drinks, fruits, cereals, cereal bars, and OIKOS Greek yogurt (Photo 4~ 5th photo). This time we had a late check-out at 2pm and had a relaxing time

-

・On Saturday, June 3,2023, around 20: 00, I made it to SHERATON CLUB's "EVENING SNACKS" just in time! The vegetable pizza (8th photo) and cake (6th and 9th photos) were so delicious

・On Sunday, June 4,2023, the flight was boarding at 8: 20 a.m. And departing at 9: 00 a.m. (WS705 flight from Toronto to Vancouver), but since it was directly connected to the airport, I was able to have a leisurely breakfast. (10th photo)

Before I get into the things this hotel can control, let's talk about the things they can't.

This hotel is WILD and is often packed with people not staying at the hotel using it for their flight layover or other purposes without the hotels consent, and the staff get instantly overwhelmed by some of these enormous groups.

Even under more understandable circumstances it can be tough. On one of the nights I was there a number of flights got cancelled and there were hundreds of people in line trying to get rooms. I suppose the hotel could have had more than 2 check-in staff but I can understand how difficult that volume would be.

Now onto the stuff the hotel could control.

When we checked in our room reeked of smoke, and amusingly they had actually left fumigation equipment in the hall outside the room. It's hard to argue they didn't know about the smoke but they gave us a different room which was fine.

The other reason I would knock off a star here is the hotel was one of the dirtier one's I've stayed at, particularly the guestroom floor and the general swimming pool area.

Finally if you are parking a car definitely familiarize yourself with the system and cost, we ended up spending much more than we expected here.

Other than that, no complaints, you're obviously paying for the location and the location is great!

If you want to wait in line for an hour to check into your room then this hotel is the place for you. If not, I would suggest staying somewhere else.

Don’t get carried away by the name or the location - worst service ever. 50 mins and they can’t serve you a PanCake - seems it’s like cook your own

They are perfect companions to aircanada

Stayed 6/13 to 6/15. Checked out EARLY on the 15th (like 430 AM). They were running some night close process so I could not get an invoice for my expense report. Called to have one emailed. Person could not have been more unfriendly. After I confirmed the invoice was sent she literally hung up on me. I had other items to discuss (including another upcoming stay) but apparently she had better things to do. Love the location but they could certainly work on the front desk helpfulness. I'll make sure and complain to my Marriott Bonvoy contact.

I had the opportunity to dine at the hotel's & More restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner due to a flight rescheduling. Although my overall experience was bittersweet, I feel compelled to address a concerning issue regarding the quality of service provided by your staff.

To begin with, I must express my gratitude towards the first waitress, Erika, who warmly greeted me with a genuine smile. Not only did she provide exceptional service, but she also went above and beyond by offering my 5yo crayons, paper, and even water to keep him entertained throughout our visit. Thank you Erika again - we enjoyed our food very much.

Regrettably, the positive atmosphere took a drastic turn when Erika's shift ended, and a waitress named Luca took over. Luca lacked the same level of patience and professionalism we had previously encountered. One incident that particularly stood out was her hastiness in clearing our table, even though I explicitly informed her that I had not finished my drink. Surprisingly, she ignored my request and insisted that the teapot was empty. It was only after I show her the tea still remaining in the pot that she reluctantly acknowledged her mistake. This disregard for my satisfaction left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Furthermore, Luca continuously interrupted our meal, attempting to remove our beverages & food, or pushing us to order additional food items. Despite my repeated assurances that I would place an order when ready, she persisted in her efforts to persuade me. Even after the dinner has arrived, she kept interrupting our meal by asking multiple times if I have finished my meal or not and had the “still not? ! ” face when I told her I’m not done yet. Her disregard for my stated preferences was disappointing, to say the least. This is not a fast food shop, I came here to enjoy my meals, not to rush it out for you.

I believe it is crucial for your establishment to provide consistent and exceptional service to all patrons, regardless of staff shifts. Such discrepancies in customer treatment can significantly affect the overall impression of your restaurant. Therefore, I kindly request that you take this matter seriously to ensure a consistently positive dining experience for your guests.

I had a horrible experience with a male employee working at the hotel on the morning of Wednesday June 7th at around 8am. There was a small island style desk in the middle of the hotel hallway on level 1. I was looking to throw something away and was in a rush to get to my flight. I assumed there would probably be a little trash bin behind the desk I spotted. No one was standing there so I peaked and there it was a little trash bin. I threw my garbage in there and walked towards the escalator to get going to my flight. A male Caucasian employee abruptly appeared out of no where and told me I was extremely rude for using the garbage can without his permission. I was taken aback but apologized politely and continued to walk to the elevator to head to my flight. He followed me and rudely asked for my room number and mocked me. He started belittling me and saying that I am a grown women and that I should know better. All for throwing something in the trash bin? He wasn't even standing at the desk, of course if he was I would have asked before using it. But regardless, this behaviour was shocking from a hotel employee under any circumstance. I felt horrified and scared as this man followed me upstairs on the escalator, I tried to just not look back and continue walking. I paid $645 for a 1 night stay here, because my connecting flight was canceled and rescheduled to the morning so I thought I would conveniently stay at the hotel in the airport. I will never stay here again, especially at this price point and because of this scary experience.

May 2023!

My favourite hotel when visiting Toronto. Lex in club lounge is very outgoing and friendly and helpful. Nur the bellman was extremely helpful and kind. Kellie (front desk manager) also so so kind to make sure my stay was comfortable. The renovations to this hotel are Gorgeous and so welcoming and luxurious!

My home away from home.love that the hot tub is open 24 hours, it’s a nice treat after a long flight. Club floor is the best place to stay. Dealt with Greg MacNeil director of operations, he ensured my stay had no flaws. Thank you, will definitely return when back in Toronto.

Can't beat the location, attached to YYZ. And it's been recently renovated. But the pillows were rocks and the temperature was too warm for me to sleep well

Perfect location even for a long layover - we spend 3 days in the Sheraton Gateway Hotel as a family having some time available to explore Toronto Downtown (perfect connected with the UP Express Train / just 25 minutes) as well as the Ontario Lake and Niagra Falls area (rental car recommended - available within minutes at Terminal 1). Thanks to the Hotel Team - it was a fantastic stay!

PS: Floor Level 8 with the direct view on the Toronto Pearson Airport is highly recommended.

The only good thing about this place is the location, which is what you’re paying for. I stayed here for the first time in awhile after getting stranded at Pearson. I was pleasantly surprised to see it got a facelift since the last time I was there. The room looked visually nice, but the bed was hard and the bedding was scratchy. However, the worst part was that the AC didn’t work at all, there was a fan but there was no actual cooling. For the hot, scratchy sleep I had this place is not worth the convenience.
18 June 2023 12:26
Given the likely proportion of the guests who are layover victims of, say, Air Canada, maybe they could stock disposable toothbrushes at the front desk. Otherwise, clean, quiet, comfortable, and the staff I met were friendly and helpful.

The best airport hotel!
Super nice rooms, and a great lounge.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Toronto for the night.
Gladly again!

We stayed here since we had a flight delay until the next day. It is one of the nicest, most modern hotel rooms we have stayed in. We ate at &More for breakfast, the eggs Benedict was delicious, but the hollandaise sauce was cold.
15 June 2023 10:45
Sheraton lounge is worth visiting if you get a chance, free snacks, and hot buffet breakfast. They don’t have any microwaves available for use though which was disappointing. It’s the first hotel I’ve ever been to that doesn’t have a microwave available for guests

Its lovely big staf made me feel like home clean loving people food delicious the bar I had a lovely waitress her personality was kind and happy I am going to stay again when I travel again thank you Sheraton for making my self and my services dog Oliver feel at home when we not at home

I stayed here due to a last-minute cancellation at the previous hotel I'd booked at. The rooms here are amazing - TONS of space, very clean, nicely done and have everything you need. The bathroom is also very spacious with lots of counter space which is a plus.

The 24 hour pool is AMAZING. Other hotels I've stayed at have the pools close earlier than I'm back in my room - my friends and I went for a swim at 2am and it was very nice! Downside - the men's changeroom has a steam room, but I don't think the women's does? Was kind of strange! But other than that, no issues. The workout room looked fantastic, also.

Location is fantastic - I stayed here for a convention at the TCC, and while it's not within walking distance, the buses are so frequent that it doesn't matter. We took many trips to and from and within 15 minutes we were there, stress free. The fact that it's in an aiport is very convenient for food - 24h Tim's, Wendy's and Subway were very welcome when we got back to our room at 1am! The view of all the planes in the airport was also really neat!

The best part was the staff. I've stayed at many hotels over the years and the staff here is so friendly, helpful, welcoming and seem like they genuinely enjoy talking to you and want you to have a good stay. We talked to all sorts of staff while there - front desk, customer service, housekeeping, maintenance - all of them were fantastic. The battery for our door died and therefore we couldn't get access - maintenance came within 10 minutes and had it replaced in 5.

Checkout was easy and they have free luggage storage if you check out and still have things to do. It was very handy, easy, and everyone who helped us store/retrieve our luggage were amazing.

Everything about this stay was absolutely perfect, and we will make this our return hotel from now on. Thank you so much for such a wonderful, positive experience during my stay!:)

For an airport hotel, this is very well managed and maintained. The staff have to deal with probably the grumpiest clients you're likely to find anywhere, and they were calm and gracious under a pretty busy check in line at 2am. Room was clean spacious and very welcome break between 2 fairly long connecting flights.
